Great work on the guitar! I actually think you fit better in a good romantic place, with some good wine (Italian of course). I wish you all the best! Ciao, Domenico
Love it Steve ! I can easily imagine you two in smoky, dimly lit pub, off in a corner on stools. The background noise does clash a bit with the music but at the same time gives it that realistic element of playing live which makes it cool. Props on the guitar playing bro, sounds really good. Having just an acoustic and vocals, both have to be pretty good to pull it off. Nice version of this classic.
I must say that hearing a jazz standard on Looperman is something which does not happen very often! I'm happy to hear something I recognize from so far back. It's a lovely rendition!
The clinking of glasses and conversation is so real, in the same way that so many things now are SO VIRTUAL. I love it!
There is something about duo's which just make the evening. I can't wait to do that again! thank you for sharing your work! Big fave!
Ableton Live 9 Suite with a few plug ins on guitar and Master track. Using T-Racks Vintage Comp 670 and Prog EQ 1A on both guitar tracks. Also another which you may find very useful for the sort of EQing I'm talking about called 'bx cleansweep V2' which was part of a free package from 'Plugin Allliance' Check it out, it's very user friendly and easy and just the thing for the sort of subtractive EQing I'm talking about.
Hi Stevejaz. The track have a nice swing feel to it but it sounds like the drums are not in the same swing, maybe add a ride cymbal to get that real swing feel in the drums.I could be wrong cos I'm sitting with my laptop and the speakers are not made for listening to music..
I reason you are 100% right Baggadub and thanks for your comment. I have done nothing to or with the drums. It's just a drum loop from a loop loft 'Art of brushes' pack. I was very disappointed with the actual loops as the sampled sounds are great. I might look into editing and adding to the drums as you suggest. I would absolutely love some descent midi loops to use the 'Art of brushes' samples with.
