Description : About 5 months ago (ridiculous) I decided it's time to up my production game. That involved a little more attention the percussion track, a little more time with tension and release, which is at the heart of EDM musicality. I limited myself to Toxic Biohazard and Transistor Bass in FL Studio. the percussion sounds are all standard in FL Studio.
Description : Gilberto Sanchez aka skillfulgil acapella, here on Looperman, was foundation for this track. Groove is perhaps something approaching reggaeton. Just a bunch of standard percussion samples out of FL Studio. I used different sequences in Transistor Bass instrument which was a lot of fun.
Description : arrangement of a pella by Koke Vela called Barcelo. You can find it here on looperman
Description : felt a latin groove under this pella by russian looperman artist slavaslame. I'll give link in a comment reply if anyone comments
they need more latin genre choices here
Description : found a grooverecipe online and put it together.
Thought it fit this pella by solocinobeatz
If anyone wants to build on this let me know.
Description : setting of rap by KIDDIE here: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/11382/sikk-mood-acapella-by-kiddie-by-bustep-86bpm-hip-hop-acapella
Description : having fun with odd meters and quasi atonal method. getting a feel for sidechaining and generally more aggressive bass and kick. hope this stuff finds its way into the club someday someway
Description : tried to do a fairly traditional dance song. Key is Dbmajor / Bbminor
Stuck with standard drum set in FPC drum kit plug-in in FL Studio.
Description : there are women among us with a connection to nature and to the souls of men that is at once nurturing and terrifying. Brujita is Spanish for little witch. used FL Studio Sytrex for the patches. Thanks to Mindhiest for percussion and hits
Description : Took a vocal loop by esoreni. Built changes around it. Thanks to Roland Chip Stueben (mindheist) for drums and bass.
Description : inspired by art of Susana Boettner which reminds me of the three kings story of this time of year. three motives in the track vaguely allude to three characters, sometimes in monologue, sometimes dialogue. http://www.susanaboettner.com/losvisitantes/05.jpg
Genre is always tricky and I don't know genres very well so I usually go with weird. But I think I write in an orchestral style, albeit I have mostly abandoned traditional orchestral instruments.
The track is loosely cinematic, insofar as it describes a journey, with mystery, adventure, celebration along the way.
Description : Inspired by a painting of Maf Raderschmidt. Used B,C, Db exclusively in some odd meter patterns. the sound is BAS fingered from Poi synth in FL Studio. The track goes with a little vid I made featuring the art. Can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTx-ymoWAQo
Description : A haunted garden reveals ghostly fingers tangled in guitar strings. Phatkatz metal artistry with Midisparks intro and fills.
2016 Midisparks Halloween contest entry. We would be hugely grateful for your FAV! over at the website, if you like the project. Happy Halloween! https://www.midisparksartsales.com/project/ghost-guitar/#FAV
Description : An elegant dame from Edwardian days, one glass eye staring through us, beyond us, prepares the seance to call back our dearly departed. https://www.midisparksartsales.com/
I hope you will be inspired by this attempted bit of spookiness to submit your own scary track to the Midisparks Halloween Music Contest. Scroll down on the same link from above for info or hit me back and I'll fill you in. Happy Halloween!
Description : A glass eye looks not at all but lends a subtle impression of demonic possession. This dark element creates ambiguity of feeling, even replulsion, towards a woman whose beauty and gentle demeanor would otherwise only attract us. The music was written for this image: https://midisparksartsales.com/project/fiery-edwardian-green/
Description : You are a Colonel in the Confederate Army, in love with a kind, gentle girl from a plantation family steeped in Victorian tradition. Tonight, at the ball, you will declare that love and make your intentions known. Old School Victorian contest entry at Midisparks Art Sales for this project: https://midisparksartsales.com/project/civil-war-ball-gown/ Please let me know if you would like to compete!
Description : even bugs have to get out on a saturday night and shake it a little. The May flies come out in force now in Harrisburg, PA so this track honors those little buggers. Let this one percolate for a month or so and re-mixed / expanded somewhat in last few weeks.
Description : tried for a little marshland ambience to go with a photography of the marshes in Wildwood Nature Conservancy, Harrisburg, PA http://audiosparksforart.com/project/autumn-wildwood-nature-conservancy/
Description : I suppose I could have found a decent butterfly effect somewhere online but more fun trying to create something. the little fella sounds like he has wings made of aluminum but he is trying. he also convinced the mosquito not to blow up the track until the end. here is the image that inspired the work: http://audiosparksforart.com/project/tang-pollinating-butterfly/
Description : C#, G#, A#. bass, lead, atmosphere from GMS synth in FL Studio. Perhaps if you commute on a German ferry boat each day, this would be upbeat music to help you psyche up for your workday! no clue about genre as usual. Inspired by Karsten's painting here: http://audiosparksforart.com/project/big-red-boat/
Description : This is all Burt's. I just had the privilege again of mixing. Burt narrates Emily Dickinson's 'The Snow' over an eclectic mix of hurdy gurdy, voice patches, string patches, bells. It seems the farm house and barn in Kerry Pardue's painting are abandoned. I focus more on the heavy blanket of snow covering everything. You can check out the painting and see if the track is working for you with it. http://audiosparksforart.com/project/farm-in-winter/
Description : Through a ravine, a shadowy tunnel formed by tall arching trees, steep banks ribbed with roots. Why does the light give so little hope? I have officially entered Pete into the AudioSparks Art November composers' contest with this one. Here is the pic for those interested: http://audiosparksforart.com/project/ravine-variation-6/ If you are feeling it, give us a FAV!
Description : this is a tongue in cheek jazzy spooky skeletons in the graveyard kind of thing. Burton is always fantastic with concepts and effects and guitar solos. I added some synths. was fun to do. for a painting as usual at the website. I am doing a Halloween Audio contest over there if you want to submit something. http://audiosparksforart.com/project/halloween-cemetery-3d-lwp/
Description : a bit of bicycle romance. maybe it should sound not quite human. maybe "genders" are not so clear. but there should be some courtship, some pursuit, some buildup. I tried for a bit of an odd-meter groove, some detuning of instruments. each bike has a song and they duet at the end as their mechanical passion builds. Inspired by painter ViVaDa's "Old Bikes in Love" at the site: http://audiosparksforart.com/project/old-bikes-in-love/
Description : experimenting with tone color and pitch variation. trying to create connections between sounds and colors. the inspiration for this (as usual) in progress bit is a watercolor by Karsten. http://audiosparksforart.com/project/brown-heath/
