Tags : | Drum And Bass | 4.10 MB

Description : skeletal remix of yesterdays track

Tags : | Drum And Bass | 5.46 MB

Description : first segment started out as a ham fisted attempt at a king crimson knock-off built round a reversed piano track, 2nd segment is the fun bit!
inspired by my local pirate Distinct FM 87.5 and by Derek Bailey
bounced back and forth between loop pedal and wav recorder, stitched together and cut up more times than i can remember- hence the title

Tags : | Chill Out | 3.55 MB

Tags : | Ambient | 1.66 MB

In Loving memory of Medium Wave 1895-2012
Brutally beaten to death by interference from Plasma screen tvs, energy saving light bulbs, BT Home Hub routers & LCD displays.
you gave hope to the people behind the iron Curtain and now you're consigned to history
gone but never forgotten

Tags : | Ambient | 5.89 MB

Description : inspired by Carlos Aras' field recordings,
lower bit rate than usual because i needed a longer running time

Tags : | Punk | 6.11 MB

Description : pushing the radio thing further.
right channel is a clean feed, left has been transmitted on AM and cut up by interference from China Radio International.
the feedback track has now been transmitted and received twice.
some of this works some of it doesn't but i couldn't replicate the good bits so here it is warts and all.
it started off punk, i don't know what it is now

Tags : | Dub | 4.44 MB

Description : I found some old recordings of guitar feedback i made and transmitted them with a Spitfire AM transmitter http://www.vcomp.co.uk/spitfire/spitfire.htm
then received them on my hi-fi with the aerial pulled out so it sounded more distant, then fed the received signal through a delay effect, then layered it over an old recording of guitar synth and feedback which i'd reversed, then overdubbed 2 or 3 basslines slipping in and out of time with the drum track.
the title came from the episode of mythbusters which was on last night.
once again feel free to sample/tweak/add to it

Tags : | Dub | 4.69 MB | Colab Request

Description : low key mellow sparse dub-rock backing track.

Tags : | Industrial | 5.55 MB

Description : the factory up the road keeps me awake with clanging all night so i recorded it on a Zoom H4n and fed it through the jam man delay looper along with some other ROIO/ out of copyright stuff like a fight from an infamous vinyl bootleg which i scratched on a Teac LP-400 copy station which was on its last legs and destined for the trash

I replaced the carpet in my room with a vinyl surface which has a much better "live" room sound

also i've been listening to World domination enterprises a lot lately!

Tags : | Industrial | 6.58 MB

Description : a riff i've used before but tried at a different tempo to see what its ounded like.
It ended up and an early 90's PWEI-Jesus Jones- EMF type thing, to my ears at least

if anyone thinks they could add a rap or use a sample of this, be my guest

Tags : | Dub | 4.40 MB | Colab Request

Description : Collaboration with Radio Kulturo

Yuri Landmans Springtime (stereo Baritone) guitar + fender Bassman louder than i've ever dared do before (everyones out at the moment!)

looking for Drums/percussion to finish this off

Tags : | Industrial | 2.20 MB

Description : the best audio representation i can currently manage of a horrible nightmare i had while detoxing which i can't quite seem to forget about

Tags : | Punk | 1.39 MB

Description : usual guitar + pitch shifter w/ level controlled by expression pedal, ended up sounding like a kind of Wah Effect

Tags : | Industrial | 3.03 MB

Description : i heard a group called the sons of Kemet on BBC Radio 3, they had a track called "the itis"
i really loved the dissonant bass sound they got
which inspired me to try and get out some of the angst i'm feeling as i'm currently coming off an evil painkiller called pregabalin.
nothing but sonic violence and repetition here.

Baritone Guitar-> Pitchshifter ->Flanger

Tags : | Industrial | 1.40 MB

Description : i got a Zoom G2.1u fx pedal 3 days ago, all the presets are devoted to horrible digital sounding modern metal sounds. but after 3 days of tweaking i've got some acceptable sounds
the drum machine is very useful.

i started making some feedback using the pitch shifter pedal function on the Zoom then into the delay function on the jam man delay looper

i let it feedback until it seemed to solidify into something with a definite pitch. eventually it seemed to produce its own throbbing bassline in F sharp so i overdubbed 1 track of proper bass to emphasise it.

then some lightly wah-ed guitar
i'm pretty pleased with the pedal, i used to give myself an ingrowing toenail getting that guitar sound with the electric mistress!

Tags : | Acoustic | 3.12 MB

Description : experimenting with retuning some of the octave strings on my Bajo (a kind of mexican 12 string)
to 5ths

Tags : | Techno | 2.15 MB

Description : usual gear

Tags : | Industrial | 6.45 MB

Description : I've been experimenting with getting feedback just from the delay pedal without a distortion pedal. and letting off some steam as well

i'm really disappointed with the rhythm options on the jam man delay looper, the cheaper, older, smaller Boss pedal had much better drum settings

Tags : | Dub | 5.35 MB

Description : I was trying to copy Charlie Hunters trick of playing Bass & Guitar parts at the same time. but it turned into such a tortoise rip off that
there was only one thing it could be called
i overdubbed some more bass(probably the most gentle i've ever played)

the delay chorus type effects are all off the jamman delay looper

mods, can you please give us the options of Post-Punk and Noise as genres?

Tags : | Punk | 4.15 MB

Description : my trying to sound like Geordie Walkers mu-tron pedal flanger by moving the controls on the electric mistress while playing

Tags : | Punk | 1.83 MB

Description : just me warming up and trying to get used to playing enforced pick bass again after medical treatment.
i've simplified my rig and thrown out that horrible old boss multi-effects unit

Tags : | Dub | 2.09 MB

Description : i hate having to describe tracks, basically i was fiddling around with an old backing track

Tags : | Chill Out | 2.21 MB

Description : Loooose, i might have been thinking of PiLs poptones at the time.
also i was trying to get used to using a pick for bass again (for health reasons) and seeing what sounds i could get out of it

Description : Quiet unassuming chord sequence seeks vocal melody for long country walks
