Description : A little something I put together for Halloween. It is mostly comprised of fx (chains, footsteps, creaking doors, screams) along with drones from Samplitude's Cinematic Soundscapes vst. Vox are a free spoken word poem tweaked a bit. Feel free to use it for any of your video projects, just send me a link and give credit where credit is due.

Description : I found this terrific pella by Stepa K and just had to try to do something with it. I'll post a link to the pella and his profile in the forum since I can't do that in the track description. As always, your critical feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope all is well.

Description : I found this incredible acapella by Sync Diversity and thought I should try to give a remix a go. I haven't listened to their original track for a while (didn't want to be influenced by it), nor did I use any of their music, only the vocals.

Since the vocals were in the key of Eb, which is a little difficult for an old guy like me to work with on a guitar, I pitched them up to the key of E. I also chopped a little bit of them out just to reduce the length of the song.

Description : A little something from the archives for Phatkatz's Halloween challenge. A long, long time ago I posted some stems on Looperman and held a contest to see who could do the best remix. This is the winner, and it showcases the monstrous musical skills of Bilbozo with an appearance by his wife as well. It's a whole lot of metal madness and a really fun listen. I'll leave it up for a bit and then put it back in mothballs after Halloween. Enjoy!!

Description : First off, I am a huge fan of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit." After watching all of the movies (including the final chapter of the Hobbit", I was motivated to write something that I thought might work with their journey home.

Samplitude has a couple of great new VST's, one called "World Flutes" and the other "Celtic Harp" and I used both of them in this song. I created every last note on this one. Guitars were all Fenders, soft synths besides the Samplitude items mentioned previously were created in the SynthMaster series by KVR, and the strings were created with Samplitude's "String Ensemble."

Not sure about the mix (my hearing is shot), so most of the mixing is done by sight instead of listening. If you hear something way out of whack, let me know. If you are interested in taking this one further, let me know and I'll post a link to the stems. Thanks to the Hobbit for the inspiration and to you for listening.

EDIT: I've had some requests for the individual instrument stems so here is the link to all of those files. The tempo is 80bpm. Feel free to do whatever you want with this one.

EDIT: I've had over 200 downloads of the stems, so if you have done anything with them it would be cool to hear it (thanks for the interest).

Description : Another great collaboration with Mark Ratcliff, and the addition of Eric Morris. Eric is a world class guitar player who has chops to rival the likes of Van Halen, Satriani, et al. Mark on bass, harp, synth, arrangement, vocals, production, and anything else we needed including donuts. Eric on the mad guitar solo towards the end. Me on rhythm and a few other things. A great song that is this good only because of the efforts of Mark and Eric. Enjoy.

Description : My friend, fellow musician, and all around great guy Mark Ratcliffe approached me about doing a blues tune and I jumped at the chance to work with Mark again. He's got a great voice for the blues....I once described it as a mixture of gin, cigarette smoke, and ministry. He sings the blues like he's been there and that is the way it should be done.

This tune sounds like a live recording....like we were there with Muddy Waters and the boys and I love the feel of this one. Mark Ratcliffe - vocals, lyrics, lead guitar, drums, bass, harmonica. Barry Morgan - rhythm guitars, organ, horns. No animals or cops were harmed in the production of this. A huge thanks to Mark for providing the talent (he also mixed and mastered it). I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.

You can find more of Mark's work here:

Description : This was my entry into a remix contest by Anna Yvette for her song "Stars and Moon." I don't enter a lot of remix contests and this song will give you an idea why, hahaha. A huge thanks to Anna Yvette for allowing people like me to really mess up her work. This one was a bit of a challenge due to the vocals already being mixed. Unfortunately, downloads are restricted on this one per her request. Thanks for listening.

Description : EDIT: I took Static's critique to heart, so the latest version has a longer intro, better drums (I hope), and a different ending. Static, thanks for the guidance, greatly appreciated.

I finally had a bit of time to get into the studio and do a little recording. I found this amazing pella by Minette and thought I would try to put something together for it. The pella is actually several separate pellas and unfortunately, I was unable to assemble all of the pieces correctly, so my apologies to Minette. Here is the link to her pella (at least the first one):

I wanted a live feel to this one, so I started with some drum loops and her vox. All of the synth parts, the guitar parts, and the bass guitar were recorded live, in one take, each instrument one at a time. That's why you will hear some buzz on the bass from the amp, and in spots it seems I am chasing the beat somewhat. I'm unsure about the mix as well. My hearing is just about gone, so all of the mixing is done by sight now, instead of with my ears. When I listen I have to crank the volume to 11 and that isn't an optimal way to mix and master. So if you hear something way out of whack, let me know and I'll try to fix it. Again, I would like to thank Minette for sharing her gifts with us, and I hope I did your pella a little justice.

Drums were loops, guitars are Fender Strat and Fender acoustic/electric, Ibanez bass, and the synths are KVR's SynthMaster. Tempo is 95bpm. Thanks for listening.

Description : There are a lot of talented people on Looperman, but probably not many as talented as Tumbleweed. Not only is Ed one of the finest guitar players around, he is also a master at arranging, composition, and production. Ed was kind enough to take an interest in remixing the original "Stone Cold" and has turned it into something very special indeed.

Sit back and enjoy that smooth buttery tone that one can achieve only through years of hard work and practice. This is truly one hell of a great ride.

You can hear more of Ed's amazing work over at his place, but bundle up, it's cold up there:

You should all direct your comments to Ed, he's the genius behind this one and deserves all of the credit. Enjoy

Description : This song started out with just me on acoustic guitar, and some added pads and strings. Tumbleweed (Ed Cunningham) was kind enough to do a bit of rearranging, and added drums, bass, and his wonderful lead guitar. He also did all of the production on this one. His guitar work is just about as good as it gets. Stop by his profile and give his other work a listen. You can find him here:

There might be another version of this track soon with vocals on it :) Check back often and bring a friend, haha.
