Description : So, with a head full of ganja last night I was in love with this one. Still a work in progress, though. Mandolins with club and glitch-hop beats. I thought it was a great fusion piece but giving it another listen today, it sounds more just straight folk-rock. What do ya'll think? I wanna make it a bit more obnoxious/weird. Thinking I could do that by simply turning the volume up on the glitch beat. Just one idea.

Description : Again, not sure yet the differences between different sub-genres of electronic music. I decided on "Fusion" because i've mixed reggae toy piano, 70s ballad-type piano and latin lounge with both club and classic rock beats. what's good about it? what sucks about it? Just finished it today.

Description : I've never sat down with audio flash cards in order to master knowledge of what each sub-genre of electronica sounds like. House? Trance? Dance? It's all Electronica to me. I mean, I think I get some of the differences (House i consider anything chill but still danceable. Trance and Ambient seem almost the same to me . . . ) So, my best guess is that this is a "Dance" track. Very synthy, very fun, a little silly. tons of layers (I love layering more and more tracks as a tune progresses). Like I said, listen to "Steve Perry" and then this and you'll see how schizophrenic my taste in music is (i can dig everything from patsy cline to daft punk to slayer). Lemme know . . . suck or no suck?

Description : Uploading three tracks today reflecting my eclectic style. This is a heavy/industrial one. Starts heavy industrial, ends chill house. Named after a really nutty ex roomie of mine. All samples, some of which I cut up and tailored to my needs. I'm especially proud of this one section where there is a sound effect of a metal door slamming repeatedly. It flows with the music but is just off enough to be obnoxious. As usual, don't be afraid to be brutal with feedback. i can take it and i wanna learn.

Description : middle eastern and orchestral strings set to danceable beats and some wierdness. If you're into Secret Chiefs 3 you'll understand why I named it after them. i'm wondering if the first part goes on too long before the first major change (when the orchestral stuff kicks in) I'm new to this and would LOVE some feedback. No one has heard this stuff but my girlfriend. Don't be afraid to give harsh criticism. I want to get better and acting would not be my profession if I had a problem with criticism. As far as the production of the piece, it's all loops. The weird, glitchy, sound that seperates the different parts of the track i made by just looping a half second of a drum loop. as far as the creativity part, i basically go by the theory that these pieces already exist. I just have to let them come out. I just trust my gut and really try to not think about anything too much. A lesson learned from acting.
