Description : I entered this into a competition and got good reception from everyone. This track is a little too poppy for me sometimes but the formula here works. I kept Justin Robertson's synth lines and bass but created a whole new backdrop. Thanks for the opportunity, Justin!

Description : Ahhhh. A track full of melodic acid goodness. However, it doesn't cum until the end of the track. This is the softer side of the Dirtydowntowner. This track is about 8 years old but it still seems to appeal to me today. Made with my MPC, Roland MC-303, and Roland Alpha-Juno1. Hope you enjoy.

Description : Another slice of ADD-induced weirdness. You be the judge. Congas, bongos, guiros, lasers, cymbals, bass synths jumping around, "the juice is buzzing in the box" sample, distorted sub-bass, pitched up and down vocal edits and a bunch of other synth sounds I can't classify. I still won't take my medication. They CAN'T MAKE me!!!

Description : If you heard "Into The Depths", you may recognize this little skit. The vocals are taken from one of those "new" records that demonstrate the cutting edge technology called "Stereo" that emerged in the late 1950's. I cut the vocals up because they would apparently not fit in time with the track when I wanted to drop the beat out or bring it back in. Once I had my pieces of vocals from the skit separated, I began the arrangement. With a little patience, this track amusingly surfaced. I also took one piano note from an old jazz record and note-mapped it on my MPC 2000 to simulate a piano player. Voila.

Description : I was so compelled by this satirical poem and the use of it's words that I figured I would pay a homage to American literary giant Robert Frost. Remember when you read his poems in school and didn't know what the hell he was talking about? During my crate digging, I uncovered this gem and wanted to keep a simplistic musical background to ensure nothing distracted from the vocals. It became a short skit of mine to play in between Zip drive (insert chuckles here for you laptop geeks) loading times of traxxx I would play at my live shows. Usually, I would witness quite a bit of head scratching. It's your turn! Don't forget the dandruff shampoo.

Description : This is one of my older tracks so it's a little dark. I was heavily using an old ART Multiverb at the time to tweak my samples. You can hear the reverb and delay present on the vocals, scratching, and various one-shot sounds. The "struggle" vocal is lifted off an old radio suspense show record with none other than horror icon Vincent Price. This is another "lost" track that fell into the file abyss to never be brought back again. Back your traxxx up, youngins!

Description : I made this little ditty with my MPC, Roland MC-303, SH-32, Alesis AirFx, and Yamaha AN200. The lyrics and title speak for the track. I enjoy doing vocal edits. Is this breakbeat or drum n bass or just fast hip hop? Dunno....

Description : This is a track I made ages ago when angst was in the air. I apologize in advance if your little speakers tremble from the sub-bass. This track and it's files no longer exist because my MPC 2000 took a shit and died. (RIP) Always back your stuff up, kiddies. This is the only sonic that remains. The uh and wooos are from yours truly. The female yeaaahhh is from a shampoo commercial with Aretha Franklin. Aretha if you wanna sue me, come to dirty, honey. And, can you sample spot the last guy's voice? .....yep, that's Dennis Hopper from the flick Frankie the Fly. No tradition. We got nothin'....

Description : Starts off with a hip hop tone then I decided to turn it on it's head and make some weird beats and sounds. Then, I took it underwater and made it nestle there followed by bringing the beat back in with a new bassline/keyboard line. This track was chosen to be used in a PSA (Public Service Announcement). How and why the hell it was chosen is beyond me. The tangents in here mirror my ADD.

Description : Just thought I would throw a bunch of random samples together and see what would stick. I wanted to take a cut and paste approach to this track. It's sho' nuff funky. Once again, the old trusty MPC 2000, Roland MC-303, and true analog Roland JX-3P supply the grit. Music for your ears and rears.

Description : A track that I made in a day when my ex-wife suggested that I renounce my rights as a father. I didn't. Note the melancholy mood in this track. It was made with just my MPC 2000 and a Roland Alpha Juno1. I used an old breakbeat drumloop purposely without variation to express the monotony of an old relationship and played the rest of the parts. Ahhh. Suffering for the sake of art. Enjoy.
