Description : Created back in 2012 & tweaked over the years, This instrumental track started off as an experiment after reading up on the genre "Fusion". So this track's beat switches from Dance-to-R&B-to-House throughout...Interesting mix I think!
For my synths, I used the following VST's: Sytrus, GTG MX-2008, GTG ST-2008 & DSK Darkness Theory 3...Please listen to the complete track & let me know what you may or may not like about the track, all comments & critiques are appreciated!!
Description : Just a hip-hop instrumental track I created around the lovely Ms. Mariah Dawn's "Don't Stop-Wet Version-Set C" Vocal loop. This would be my first time creating an entire track "around" a vocal loop. The track itself is Hip-hop with tinges of electro/trance sounds infused. Mariah Dawn's vocal loop is used only in the chorus. VST's used for my synth work: PoiZone 2, Sytrus, Morphine & Sawer. Let me know what you like/dislike, all comments & critiques are greatly appreciated!-David
Description : I wanted to do another fusion track and this is the product. This track has hip-hop beat instrumentation fused with electro/trance synths so I dub this as "Electro-Hop"...the idea for this track started after watching some video on youtube...it had a dark/robotic feel to it and so I decided to create a track based off that. I used the following VST's for my Synths: Sytrus, PoiZone 2, Superwave-8, Harmor & Gross Beat...give a listen and let me know what you like/dislike, all comments & critiques are greatly appreciated!!
Description : *Up-date* Editing done to volume levels of background vocals & used different eq mix to see if the sound has improved!
This track is the finished product of my instrumental "Unfold My Love"...retitled "We Cry", produced by myself with Lyrics & vocals by my cousin LaRayne. I've been producing tracks for some years now but this was my first stab at producing/editing vocals, so i'm pretty sure there are a few miss-steps/off beat slips with the vocals. Please listen and let me know what to improve. Vocals start at 1:07, enjoy & thanks!! P.S. Lyrics are included if you'd like to read them!
Description : This track started off completely different from it's finish state...I had a completely different sound before I create synths that had the wrong set of notes...but I actually like the mistaken synth better so I re-built the track. I put this up as a fusion track. It has hip-hop instrumentation with some trance, piano, violin synths infused...The main synth also doubles as the bassline...which sounds kinda like a mix between dub-step & grime. I've been working on this for a few months and think i'm finally done.
I used the following VST's for my synths: Edirol Orchestral, Superwave-8, Sawer & Morphine.
Give the whole track a listen and let me know what you like/dislike and what could be improved...comments & critiques always appreciated, thanks for listening!!
Description : Started this the same time as my last track and so this one took a little bit of a backseat. I was having some difficulties getting the sound that I had envisioned so I decided to use some loops from a construction kit, then I mimicked those notes to create a few of my own synths. All drum instrumentation was done myself. Give a listen and tell me what you think & thanks!~David
Description : So, I've been having "producer's block" recently, got bored and started messing around with some notes on the keyboard. I liked them and decide to create an Instrumental around those notes. I wanted to try and create a Hip-Hop track that one would play in the car or even hear on the radio and this is what I came up with. Edirol Orchestral was used to create my Piano & Violin synths while PoiZone & Toxic Biohazard was used to create the Trance synths. So Listen to the track in it's entirety and let me know what you think, any & all comments/critiques are welcome!!
7/22/11 --- Did some EQ-ing and changed some volume levels.
7/27/11 --- Changed the drum pattern at the end of every 4-bars, removed the rolling snare from every other bar to just every 4-bars. Replaced main synth in second verse & added "what" chat during the breakdown.
Description : So the original track "Unfold My Love" was and still is probably my favorite track I've created thus far and after completion, I immediately wanted to do a remix or a part 2. After finishing the two tracks before this, I started coming up with idea's for how I wanted this to sound. Obviously as a part 2, it has to contain some elements from the original track but also contain enough of it's own sound. A few synths from the original were tweaked and new synths were added. I instruments to give the chorus a bit of a "Live" feel, so piano & trumpets came into the mix, setting this apart from the original. I think I accomplished what I set out to do: create an extension of the original track without creating a complete carbon copy!
Give the track in it's entirety a listen and even give the original "Unfold My Love" a listen if you want...Any and all comments/critiques/suggestions are always welcome and appreciated as it helps me with future tracks. Thanks for listening!
Description : So this instrumental track has been in the making since the end of April, but my laptop got a virus that tricks you into thinking all your personal files are gone...So I went 2 months without my laptop and was finally able to resume this track at the beginning of june.
I haven't done a hip-hop track in a long while so that is how this track came to be...I wanted to do a track that wasn't your typical hip-hop track of today. This track has a wide range of sounds that vary different genres, all the while still keep the instrumentation hip-hop. I love to make intro's for my tracks and this track's intro is the first 31 seconds. I've enjoyed making this track and hope you like it as well! I used the following VST's for my synths: Toxic Biohazard, PoiZone, Sawer & Morphine. Give a full listen, all comments/critiques welcomed!
Description : So, I started this Instrumental track about a week ago and finished it at work last night. I have to say with each track I do, I love them even more and this one is no exception. I wanted to switch it up a little bit and try more string synths verses my norm which would be infusing electronic/trance synths in all my work...but I couldn't help my self and had to add a trance synth or two lol! Anywho, I used Edirol Orchestral for all my string synths & the following VST's for the rest: PoiZone, Analog Warfare 3, Sytrus & Anawave. I experimented with the bassline as that has been something I need to work on, I tried to make a slow groove type of r&b track with the instrumentation but still sound as if it came from 2011...so please take a full listen and let me know what you may or may not like about this track, all comments and critiques are appreciated!!
UPDATE: I tweaked the volume levels a bit, removed and added a synth and did a little EQ-ing.
Description : I started this track near the end of January and should have been finished it but a recent Ski trip to Seven Springs made me a bit lazy once I got back home, I procrastinated for a week before getting back to work lol, which in a way worked out perfectly...I had already the main synths done, but recently, I've gotten more VST's so I was able to scrap a few synths and create new one's and I think the track turned out better than I initially expected. I used the following VST's to create my synths: Sytrus, Effem, GTG ST-08 & Superwave-P8. Please listen to the track in it's entirety, let me know what you like, don't like & what can be changed...if anything...All comments & critiques are appreciated!!-David
Description : I wanted to do a more energetic track since my last track (The Drama) was a bit on the serious side. This has like an ethnic feel too it, I created a bunch of synths for this track and the beat switches up a lot so listen to the whole track. I created this at work using only FL Studio 9xxl and the following VST's for my synths: Superwave-P8, Sytrus, Vega, & Analog Warefare 3. I put this up as "Hip-Hop" because of the beat, but i'm sure it can fit in a few categories...Give it a listen and let me know what you liked & didn't like, all comments are appreciated!!
*UPDATE* - I did some editing to the last verse, placed the bass synth in parts lacking bass before and adjusted some of my volume levels.
Description : So, I work alone in a dark, creepy, vacant department store building during the graveyard shift (long story lol) and I wanted to try and do a hip-hop track (no vocals) with a bit of a dark, creepy or mysterious feel to it...not sure how close to those I got but what I do know is that I love this track! I started this @ work and worked on it for about 4-5 days, created entirely with FL Studio 9...I used the following VST's for my synths: Superwave-P8, Sytrus, PoiZone, Toxic Biohazard & Karnage. Not sure if this will be the final version or not, that depends on the feedback, so let me know what you like or didn't like about the track, thanks alot!!
Description : So this track came about when I realized that the last bunch of loops that I've uploaded here, I didn't use in any of my own music...So I took my "Arch Synth-Fill" & "Arch Synth-Lead" (both already up for download) loops and created a dance track around them!
I was getting stuck on what else to add/create on the track, and each day brings new inspiration so, I decided to work on the track 2 hours/day for 4 days....That enabled me to come up with three more synths and various editing to complete the track. Created at work, entirely using FL Studio's 9XXL. Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!-Dave
Description : After hearing a few of fellow looperman member "HardstyleRythm's" loops, I decided to construct a track using his "Hardstyle melody 34-1, Hardstyle Melody 34-2 & Hardstyle Melody 36" loops. I didn't want to do too much to the loops as they were already awesome, so I created a breakdown out of "Hardstyle melody 36 & put Fruity Reeverb on the synths to give them a little clarity...everything else was done by me using FL Studio 9. Let me know what you think!!-Dave
Description : I put this up as hip-hop but, I'd like to classify the track as Electo-Hop....for the Hip-Hop beat with the Electro synths. I created this a couple nights ago at work...I actually made the synths by accident...I was playing round with the notes and came up with the synths. Made in FL Studio, I used Sytrus for the synths and tweaked it a little so each one sounds different.
Let me know what you think!!
Description : Track I created a while back but tweaked recently...Made completely using FL Studio 9. Created All strings with 3x Osc & Fruity Reeverb, created guitar using Slayer & used same notes for the "Choir-Aah Synth"...I created it as an R&B track, wrote lyrics but misplaced them at the moment. Let me what you think!-Dave
Description : A hip-hop track that I made a while back and have been tweaking here and there. I feel that there may be something missing...not quite sure what...but this what I came up with.
Song was created using FL Studio 9, but The Main Synth in this track came from my "The Platinum Club Hip Hop and R&B Collection" sample CD from Beats45.com
Let me know what you think!-Dave
Description : Simple Hip-Hop track (no vocals) completely created using FL Studio 9 XXL. Completed the track in February 2010 and decided to upload it and get some opinions!
Main Bass Synth: created using Fl Studio's "Boo Bass" .
Main Piano Synth: created using FL Studio's "FL-Keys" using the "Rhodes" sample-set.
Main Bell Synth: created using FL Studio's "Sytrus" using the "Dream Bell" present.
Background Bell Hit: created using FL Studio's "Sytrus" using the "Belmopan" present.
Thanks for listening, let me know what you think...P.S. I have the song's main synth loop uploaded for download!
