Description : Some chiptuney dubstep.
I wrote this in a combination of software, Musagi (a small, C++ program similar to tracking, but with more synthesis capabilities [it's free, you know you want it]), and FL Studio, my favorite DAW. I used Musagi to make some of the Lo-Fi bass sounds, only one bass was made entirely in FL Studio. That bass is my lead wobble sound though, I did a tutorial on how to make it, link will be farther down.
The way I went about making the melodies is the same as I always do, I sit down at the piano and play some notes.

Description : Just a little something I composed the other day, got nothing for, then deleted a few of the synth patterns out of it.
Track 1- Drums (they're all attatched to FL studios FPC)

Track 4- Wobble bass
Its one of my better dubstep tracks, the buildups lacking a bit, but after the challenge I may go on to improve this.

Description : A song that fuses together several different styles. The drums and bass are obviosly dnb inspired, but theres some jazz elements (like an organ) thrown in there, as well as chillout elements: such as the acoustic guitar, and subtle pads in the second half of the track.
I had a lot of fun producing this, its still yet to have a bridge added onto it in which I'll just try to be as creative as possible.
I'm not too happy with the drums at the moment, but I have got plans to substitute in a better bunch of drum patterns, seeing as the ones I've used feel a little empty, and more than a little generic.
I used a lot of the freeware MDA effects on this track, especially on the piano at the start and the organ in the middle. I highly reccomend you take a look at them.
But feedback is appreciated here, and I'm not gonna put it up for download until the song is finished.

I added an extra half tempo chillout section to the track, taking it up to 2:23 in total now. I may or may not add a wobble bass to this section, I'm thinking I will as the only low frequencies in this part come from the kick drums, and afterwards, I'm thinking of adding a piano before bringing back the full tempo drums, bass, etc. Still not finished, so still no download.

Added a dubstep bass to the track using a sytrus preset that Alen9R sent me- I appreciate the effort put into that 9r, cause it definatly helped me out with this track.
I've also got my dad to record a harmonica melody, which I then sampled. I continued after the half tempo bridge to bring back the drums, regular bass and organ, but I want to add something else into it. Still not finished, so it ends with a fade-out just to make it seem a little less sudden when it stops.
Final Update!
Added a second organ melody at the end, and ended it with the harmonica. Also adjusted the volumes to make it sound better, and put it up for download.

Description : ok so this is something I work on just before I broke my hand last summer..... it had no bass line so I had to add one but I think after a week or two it came the bass will speak to most hardened bass heads....
this should get the subs shaking if I've got the balance right... it's definitely not dirty dubstep but it is nice and chilled almost like a dub thing but with a hard edge to it.. so I put it in ambient in the end
if that makes any sense at all..
The bassline is totally inspired by a recent conversation with Rollagee about the need or not for wobble in dubstep
I use reason 5 and audacity to encode it to mp3...

Description : if you ever wanted to hear the bassline from phantom of the opera in a dubstep song...
this is my first dubstep track and was made with ableton live over the span of a few weeks. the main melodies are influenced by andrew lloyd weber's phantom of the opera and i used a distorted sample with some other effects for the sampled introduction. i also used another sample before the second drop. the second drop (1:42) has some nice glitchy bass put together by resampling and layering a few waves made with ableton's operator (hence the name), with some wobble bass made in the traditional fashion. i also used a little bit of PSP nitro and effectrix as VST's to add some effects here and there

I already have a wobble bass in there, do I just need to carry that on, add a build up, break down, Fxs.. I could do dubstep properly this time?
Anyways, take a listen, its a nice little chillout track with some nice pads, my first attempt at using FLs send options in the mixer (Drum filter) and just something relaxing for once.

Wanted to try something different. Wobble bass from the loop (MRJPRODUCTIONS). A simple beat with lots of clicks, blips and other fxs, an ambient pad and another synth bass.

Description : I made this track on FL Studio 9, all the loops were made by me, the vox however was obtained off a sample site, some of the wobble bass might be scratchy ive been working to smooth out the edges some, but over all this is a nice try for my first track ever.
