Description : i heard a group called the sons of Kemet on BBC Radio 3, they had a track called "the itis"
i really loved the dissonant bass sound they got
which inspired me to try and get out some of the angst i'm feeling as i'm currently coming off an evil painkiller called pregabalin.
nothing but sonic violence and repetition here.

Baritone Guitar-> Pitchshifter ->Flanger

Description : one of the adventures i had during my intergalactic traveling days was landing on this little planet called luthein v. the planet was being occupied by a large number of cyborg invaders from the dying world of angi prime. moved by the plight of the luthiesians and armed with the most advanced sonic weapons, i brought destruction to the 30 million cyborg oppressors.
drums by me, rest are premade loops. phaser set to kill to turn a guitar loop into alien subspace transmissions.

Description : This is a dance version of Trifonics masterpiece, i included some trancy sequences because i felt that they would fit perfectly with the dreamy vocals. Original acapella is licensed under CC non-commercial.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Description : My remix entry for an Acid Planet contest (and I am proud to say that my track won the contest). The original had a very Depeche Mode sound. I decided to create a mix that reflects my passion for storytelling - sit back and allow this track to take you on a little sonic journey like the glory days of 70s rock-opera & prog-rock.

I replaced all the music with my own (no loops) - I kept the harmonic chord structure and chose to enhance the song's dramatic impact by changing the instrumentation. As I experimented with acoustic piano, I began to hear a "Rock Opera" like vibe and drama to the mix - I added my own electric guitar to the track and built the energy to a satisfying climax at the end - ENJOY!

Description : I haven't posted a track here for a very long time. I hope everyone has been well. I found some vocal loops posted here by AnomalyJ and thought they were outstanding. So I made this track. Instrumental loops are from Sony Acid Music collections called Sonic Excursions, Tony Franklin Bass, Bradley Fish, Aftershock and Spectral Minimalism. Rain and thunder effects are loops I found at freesound.org and are by contributors named dobride and andriala. Hope you (and AnomajyJ) like what came together.

Description : a no loop, all instrument track. From the Sonic Hooky album by Rybird available at rybird.com, Played on a wavestation Korg, also using vst plugin, unknown.

Description : All built from a Midi, then filterd out everything I didnt want.

After I got the basis of what I wanted from the Midi in the remix I built everything else around it using samples from the game sound effects library, and instruments from a wide range of vsti's.

Just a fun track to make and edit. :-)

Description : Dedicated to those willing to participate in popular rebellions, regardless of their size or outcome. With nothing to lose, rebellion is an empowering thing.

Special thanks to Salook. I didn't think completing the Music to have a Rebellion Project could really move towards completion without the sounds of bagpipes incorporated somewhere. Now I can check that requirement off my list! Special thanks to Nuada Macnechtan for doing the introduction vocals for me.

Live recording done on Ableton with the APC40. Lots of dancing with knobs.

Draft 1 - Still in development phases. I'm pretty happy with the sonic narrative that happens in the movements. Maybe a bit too traditional? Intro as past, drum ensemble as carnival uprising present sliding into the hybridity of a future that's always arriving.

Draft 2 - rerecorded incorporating Nuada's vocals.

Final Draft(?) - brought in vocal samples from Deepest India, and some chanting from public domain Morocco field recordings from the 1950's.

Vocals from the exiled Tuareg Poet Hawad's poem, "Anarchy's Delirious Trek."

Loops mostly from people who've deleted their accounts, so I don't know who to give credit to. Got a planetjazzbass one in here, and one from Dusthill, and one from Dj_Fred_Val. Thanks!

Thanks to Nuada for wonderful suggestions during my drafting process.

Description : Collab with Salook and Avanaco. Salook sent me the stems and I was inspired to do something n0madish to it. Added bull roarers, rattles, and effected barimbau to the mix and tweaked and manipulated the stems to tease out the urban aboriginal sounds.

I've tried to turn this thing into a sonic ritual - and let the sounds effect the psyche in significant ways.

FINAL FINAL DRAFT2 - rerecorded with Live and the APC 40. Added an additional track (to create more bass) of an effected monochord attempting to emulate the sounds of a friction drum. Further revised the effects on the barimbau, and rattles, too. Addition of ululations for purposes of equilibrium. Pretty intense.

Salook and I have been discussing this project as a kind of sonic triptych, with each of the 3 collaborators having a version like a panel in a painting. The iconographic triptychs were portals between the mundane world and the spiritual one, and it really feels like the "base" of this piece connects to this function.

When I was a graduate student at Western Washington University, we had a visiting professor from the Northwest Province of Cameroon join the dept. for a year. Shortly after arriving, he went to visit the nearby Lummi Reservation and was surprised to find that their masks were very similar to his own. Additionally, the Lummi had wooden longhouses just like back home, and danced the same dances but in the opposite direction. The only real difference he could see (of significance) was how the rattle is a sacred object in America, but not back in Africa.

Much thanks to Salook and Avonaco for allowing me to do this one.

Avonaco's "Action Figures" should be listened to first.

Salook's "Ham Radio" should be listened to next.

Description : Didn't know what to call this beat. First hip hop beat i've made in a while. A nice transition between chorus and verses and a hook at the end. Made using Logic Studio. Enjoy!

Description : Evil Lurks v.10 - Ez Icarus - Label Release for Halloween ______________________________________________

Here is your chance to change a track due for imminent release! Your opinion is wanted, please review and advise on what you like or what could be improved.
______________________________________________

What is updated from v.1:
67 New channels! New Bassline linking in with vocal harmony and introducing bars for DJ use, crash's and highs to signal new 8 bars, filled sonic gaps added real FX distorted beats and put some meat on the kick drum break to complement the awesome vocal. Background added to breakdown and intro build up, analogue effects to give a warm rich sound with the cold keys, strings and slow warbling b line.

Dubstep, BreakBeat, Drum & Bass, call it what you like, but its not Garage. I really didn't want to choose a genre! Final to be mastered.

I will let you know when its out, if anybody would like a pre release copy (dj promo only) please leave a review and download from...

Description : Ambient glitch... .
Another journey through outer space - ethereal and dangerously hypnotic. get ready for some sonic hallucinations..
PS : I hope you like bells!

Description : This is a song me and my boy (RasKP) made about 6 yrs ago when I was really getting into music software(i think it was the very first sonic). I know it sounds pretty dull with not many effects and the lyrics are pretty much freestyle but I think it turned out pretty good. I'm thinking about remastering it with the new software that I have now. Please leave comments and reviews. I need to be critiqued!

Description : [Draft3 - semifinal] Though seemingly a cliche, everything in the universe is recycled. This is one of the implications of the first law of thermodynamics. This also corresponds to Shiva and his Cosmic Dream. Steady beat provided by planetjazzbass loops (2), and one of the 2 dubbified tabla tracks is me. Midi sequences recycled include a free SoundFont of a pipe organ, the freeware VSTi Alieno, and DKS Asian DreamZ luan manipulated into something else.

Seems to be some kind of recycled cosmic dance.

Draft2 - rekeyed the synth and organ samples.
Draft2a - attempted adding a "things fall apart" section, where the ensuing chaos returns to a sort of order via rhythm. Too much? I'm too close to it to tell.
Draft2b - got great advice from alividlife and added two tracks of time stretched Alieno created loops. Went after the "things fall apart" and the end sequence. Feeling like it's getting close.
Draft3 - reworked the 3:00 break and the end. Teased out further sonic interpretations of sounds of digestion and disassembly. Big thanks to alividlife for such brilliant suggestions.

Description : New Spherical Mirror track. Inspired by a couple of different loops from here this morning.

Nightingale - Vocals,
9Rihter - Big Ambience,
MrE - Percussion,
HPrecords - Synth, Sonic Layout, Mixing, Production.

All I did was change the pitch a little on one of Night's vocal samps and reverse pasted them to eachother, slowed down the 2 loops from 9rihter, and mixed it in a transitional form. The original is just over 12 minutes long, but I'm only allowed 7MB here. Enjoy!
