All started with a Future Bass Drum with Reverb at 140 BPM. It sound like Dubstep and then all go fast. A very Deep Synth Flute with Reverb as Bass. Hig Synth for the Melody. High Flute with Reverb for other. And High Wobbling Synth with stereo Phaser. Many Crazy Snares and lite Stick Hits as Percussion with Reverb. End a Pad with the same Stereo Phaser effect. Yeah thats it. I work 4 Hours at this Track. Sounds Like Future Bass or Dubstep with a lite Happy EDM touch. Please leave some Feedback. Which genre is this? Whats good , Whats Bad? Description : Psychedelic Eastern cellhop progressing into a heavy and not at all hip hop ending. Lots of cool basslines and killer beats, all at 80 BPM. Cello is the main instrument and it also covers all the bass parts (no other bass instruments used). I didn't have to add any octave lowering effects to those cello basslines. A few synths, including a dark, trippy pad that gets very psychedelic and swirling when delay and distortion are added. Also a lyre to occasionally add an Eastern drone sound and an 8bit lead sine synth in one section. Drums are mixture of programmed acoustic kits and drum loops. You can really bounce to this shit while firing your guns in the air. So, do that and then come back and let me know if you enjoyed it. Criticism, praise, suggestions etc all welcome. Description : I wrote this song this weekend and recorded it last night with Sunny War on vocals and guitar. (We've got a backload of 10 or so songs but I'm a shiny-object kind of guy.) We kept almost the entire loop orchestration and there are some great loops here. The whole thing is built on looperman-l-0208341-0068163-drmistersir-lonesome-freaky 80 which runs throughout. Mixed with that for the first half is the crazy choral looperman-l-0911223-0101152-silencekills-key-5-pad-81-fs-min across 3 octaves. The musical bridge before the outro is built on the great loop looperman-l-1264531-0079769-arixxonsc-sequence-old-school-escape. My instruction to Sunny was "Play the guitar like it's wrestling with that loop." Sunny plays bass but we also kept looperman-l-1059144-0070847-ebaby8119-the-move-808-bass to go with it. Then there are a couple great bell loops and a choral chant loop at the end, and then of course all the drums. One of the rare times we've kept most of the loops and just wove Sunny's guitar into the orchestration. We even kept one of the guitar loops, looperman-l-1059144-0068323-ebaby8119-the-question, because it's perfect for that moment. I think this song launched a 4th album to be called PATH. Any comments or reactions are greatly appreciated. You're the first folks to hear any of this stuff and this community is instrumental (literally) in making it happen.
Description : The other day, I recorded my drive home from work, and used the sounds from my pickup truck to recreate the into song from the first gen Pokemon games (red/blue/green). A lot of cutting and re-sampling, and for the sub-bass I tossed a sound of my door closing into Serum and picked a nice sine-like single cycle from it and used that to synthesize the bass. I cut the sound of the horn into super-small pieces and repeated them really fast to build the lead. My pickup is a diesel, so the exhaust has a lot of noise in it and covers a good portion of the frequency spectrum, so i used it as a kind of wide-stereo pad. sound of my keys layered with the door for a snare, and the ding from the dashboard and the horn made up a couple more instruments. No sampler plugins, just pitch-shifting everything on the timeline and EQing and other FX etc... Tell me what you think of this experiment!
