Description : A bit of organ, a selection of great acoustic guitar loops courtesy of the Looperman community. I couldn't find a bassline that suited the track so I skipped the bass.

Comments and critiques appreciated.

Tags : | Funk | 3.48 MB | Featured

Description : Written by a friend of mine a few years back, I experimented with an alternate version, recording it later in high school. I've never been particularly happy with how I mixed the guitar parts (lack of sonic depth), listening back after the fact, but I suppose its a good reminder that we all grow. Hindsight 20-20, etc. The percussion tracks are loops from the first edition of Garageband, and everything else is real-time instrumentation. Guitar amps were mic'd via small-diaphragm condensers, bass guitar captured via D.I., organ with a combination of a large-diaphragm condenser and parallel D.I.

Description : Not very often do I work much with software instruments or audio that isn't real-time, but occasionally I enjoy dabbling with an idea here and there. This is one of those, from a fairly run-of-the-mill tune I wrote a few years ago as a college freshman (I don't have the complete track at the moment - I'll see if I can dig it up to post).

The organ part was extracted from a funk sample that I thought could be applied to sit behind the beat in a reggae rhythm. I wrote the song around that, and wove in other instrumentation, along with a synthesized drum machine part which underlies the acoustic drum tracks. This version lacks the horn parts and backing vocals (as well as the full-length of the song, since this is a shortened, unmastered sample I mixed for brevity's sake) of the later product, but it was a fun spur-of-the-moment idea.

Description : Continuation of fast dnb tracks. Nice combo of sick dirty bass, high pitched synths, crazy beats and the organ ^.^
Hope you enjoy it
Don't think it's complete yet, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise :)
Pce and God Bless
Steve

Tags : | Hip Hop | 1.18 MB

Description : hard ass beat with a tweaked out organ i made sound like a 60's fuzz guitar or some shit.

Tags : | Rock | 6.74 MB | Featured

Description : I came up with the general idea of the music for this while messing around on the guitar, and I had already wanted to write something about being disoriented, so it all fell together.
Guitar, vocals, drums, organ: me.
(This is the first time I have ever recorded me using a whammy bar.)

Description : title is self-explanitory, get at me if you like it... i'll let you have it... i pretty much pulled alot of stuff out my hat of tricks to rip this beat into peices and put an almost perfect product together. its one of my new favorites. i started the whole song with that backround organ thru the whole song ...basically its a heater like a roger clemens fastball. I dare anyone to rap on this....its single hit material....who's got a deal ready for me?- contract and all im down!

Tags : | Jungle | 3.99 MB

Description : **STRICTLY FOR HARDCORE JUNGLIST** Hardcore Ragga Dub Jungle with Hard, Deep Bass, Rough Beatz, Ragga Samples & an Organ & String arrangement. Thanks to: looperman.com for one of the amen loops. All feedback is appreciated & returned. ENJOY!!!

Tags : | Chill Out | 5.02 MB

Description : Another chill, acid lounge track that kinda came out of nowhere, playing around with beats. I really wanted to try and see if I could do a lounge track with a kind of dnb feel. I added in the usual lounge ambiance - organ loops, some sax, trumpet, and clarinet...to jazz it up nightclub style - then wanted to break out at the end...(once the bourbon hits) I threw in some crazy brass - a little influenced by weird Zorn stuff - for a chaotic ending. Hope you like it. peace.

Tags : | Breakbeat | 6.28 MB

Description : 140 BPM Breakbeat / Pop tune. Originally I created a breakbeat, then created the piano chorus, created a bassline to match the piano. Laid out most of the track and never thought it would have vocals until I found the "Pop male vocals" sitting in my library, credit for those goes to Breakbeat Paradise. Some tweaking of the elements to fit and added strings and an organ style melody to finish it off, with mastering applied after.

Tags : | Weird | 6.75 MB | Featured

Description : This is track #9 of my first and only album (so far). Its name is, literally, Track 09.
I made this all by me lonesome, coming up with the lyrics just by hitting "Record" and improvising. All guitar, synth, organ, vocals are me, drums and bass are loops.

Description : A piano,organ.base synth track

Tags : | Rock | 4.34 MB

Description : I tend to record everything and anything. Over the years I have accumulated a vast library of songs, ideas, jams, screw ups worthy of extortion. etc. My band Karma DeLuxe always does a warm up jam to get things flowing for rehearsal. Sometimes I will go the distance and set up for a multi track, other times i simply hit record on a hand held mini disc recorder or whatever is within reach that can document the free flow of ideas. On this occasion I took a stereo recording of our warm up and went back and added keys. My trusty Kurzweil K2000 triggering an E-Mu Vintage Keys for B3 organ as well as a Roland MKS-20 for vibes. I am playing bass, Dave Aragundi on drums, Marc Espinoza guitar and I believe Paul Mullin arrives late to add more guitar. This is part two of a three part trilogy in the style of Frank Zappa. No loops, but figured you kids would understand and appreciate the Joe's Garage type expression. Heck, you all seem to allow me to try whatever floats my boat anyway. I love this community. Voltage

Description : Demon Lover was a low budget film that made the rounds in the early 70's on the southern drive in theatre circuit. A friend of mine played the role of a detective in the film. He and others involved actually paid to be in the film. The film maker went on to make other notable train wrecks like "Return to Frog Town". A documentary, the making of Demon Lover actually won various awards. In the spring of 2002, I was contacted to put together a sound track for the intro credits for the long awaited...sequel "Demon Lover 2". The drums are from a Creative Labs AWE 64 Gold sound card with Yamaha Sound Fonts. The growling synth is a combination of a Kurzweil K2000 and a Korg M1. The strings are from the M1 and the organ is from an E-Mu Vintage Keys. I actually got the police radio chatter from an Internet broadcast of the LAPD. The car sounds are from a Shelby Cobra recorded with a Crown SASS-P stereo mic. Demon Lover 2 never happened, but I had fun and got another track out of the process.

Description : This one was a fun one. I was laughing the whole time I was mixing it. I took sound bytes from an old atom bomb documentary called duck and cover (which by the way all old war dept films are public domain lots of good stuff for samples). I took that audio and cut it up re-arranged some words to make it a little more humerous. Most of the beats are loops I stacked, I added in some scratching loops and cymbals for punctuation. I wanted the old organ loops to keep the humor side of the track. I hope you enjoy this one! Remember, the atom bomb can smash in yo face! Thanks for checking it out. Peace.
