Description : I'm working on getting a good "soundtrack" sort of orchestral sound. This is the most complex piece that I've recorded thus far and getting all the themes and instruments in their best places has been a challenge. I'm still not completely happy with some of the brass sounds, but much of the rest of the orchestra sounds "real".

Description : Corny pop-rock-orchestral theme I wrote for my wife's new orange squeezer. This piece would work as title music for the kind of family-oriented TV shows I never watch. I tried it over DeGrassi and 7th Heaven and felt that the producers should hire me immediately. It also works great over Folgers coffee commercials. Hope you like wind instruments. There's a surf influence in there for those who can hear it amidst all the orchestration.
Description : I'm happy that i've finished that one - i've been working on it since September and finally it all have come together. This is probably the most eclectic track I've ever made: there are orchestral flutes and violins, jazz cymbals and textures, house drums and bass and some other stuff - yet it sounds fit to me. Done with Akai S 2000 using samples I made from classical orchestral records my Dad had. Echo'd, reversed etc. And some string samples I made from Kawai K3. I make samples of my keyboards so I don't have to lug tons of crap. Couple of rack samplers and Drum Mach are easy to deal with. No Loops this time. Live , one take, stereo.

This is my first try making a orchestral track with a western twist, yeah i know, sounds weird, but trust me you will like it, i used reason 4 for this one and a lot of imagination, spend 2 hours making this one.

Description : More cinematic soundscapes. I really wanted to amp up the soundtrack vibe by adding in some orchestral brass. I worked really hard trying to match up sounds to give a cool dark churning mood. I played around with various beats, doubling and chopping those to give it a thump through the track but not overwhelm...I added in various spots some trombone, tuba, trumpet, and some low strings and bassoon? type stuff...tried to keep in minimal so it didn't turn into a full on orchestral score. It's another attempt at taking you on a musical journey...the imagery you see is up to you. Hope you enjoy the trip. Thanks for listening. peace.

Description : This is very inspired by Gorillaz...they made me love acoustic guitar,bass and Hip-Hop more.. I also put in electronic,disco and orchestral influence.. Made it with Reason, with various beautiful loops as well as my own voice sample.. (u can hear me speak German..haha). Some are originals.. Im glad with this track coz it has more depth. Overall, this track is a story about love..flashing back from past and present (u can hear the contrast..) The ending is when the memories of the past haunts back the present.. basically this is my idea for the Halloween theme. Enjoy! =)

PS The problem with the sounds of the drumz isnt solved! So they sound like they were play live into the arrangement but they arent! Aaaarrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!!! And there are some clicks because of my CPU! It has get closed to his end;(!

Kurzweil K2000S with Orchestral ROM for harpsicord, piano, strings, orchestral percussion, more, into 8x8 MIDI patch bay into Alesis D4 for drums, AKAI MPC-60 for Timpani, E-MU Vintage Keys for Melotron and B3, Roland U220 Cello (strings card), Roland MKS 20 for vibes, Korg M1R for deep strings, Proteus 1XR for utility sounds, Yamaha DX7IIFD for that FM thing. All triggered from the K2000S with various velocity settings on each module. Play hard to get the entire orchestras attention. Play dynamic to get a few elements like piano, cello, viola, violins, oboe. Step up to B3, melotron, vibes, orchestral percussion, drum kit, and so forth.
This is my orchestra.
I performed the piece pretty much in a single pass. Though I did do a few edits and I tried to get fancy with a couple over dubbed cartoon riffs at the 3 quarter point.
