Description : Set up real drums in the control room today and just rocked out to a click, Then I went back and chopped up the janky drumming and made some loops I liked. Went back again and laid down claps, Fender Jazz Bass, Gibson Les Paul and Rhodes on top. I like this joint, it could have Raphael Saadiq-style vocals KILLIN in the mix.

The song is all made of samples which isnt usually my style, but cheeve is all in to that hokus pokus. Anyways, the guitar and singing i dont know who it is but it was from the stargate universe pilot. Then i threw in some drums from les claypools percipitation. then i over did it with some samples from a japanese jazz vibraphonist. And theres a silver mount zion sample in there as well.

Description : I recorded the vocals to this track using a freeware version of StepVoice recorder 1.0 and Audacity. I used a Jazz Standard bass loop by MrE and one of the orchestral Meditation tracks from Psychotropic_Circle. I rearranged both a little bit in the Audacity software. It is a somewhat surrealist spoken word take on the recent Archeological data on Ardipithicus ramidus, extra terrestrial life, and vegan cupcakes.

Description : Another track from my 2005 cd. I put this in the Jazz genre because to me it has more of a jazz feel than ambient or electronic. The lead in this track was a single take. I had the first 10-15 seconds rehearsed everything after that was made up as I went. The entire track was played with my Alesis QS keyboard and recorded and arranged using Adobe Audition and Magix.
