Description : WARNING: YOU WILL BE ANNOYED BY THE YELLING.
Hah okay...let me explain this. I was hanging with friends and we stumbled upon this Japanese cartoon on Youtube. We watched, laughed until we couldn't then it hit me that I should try to sample it.
This is the result.
I promise that part two won't be nearly as annoying. Promise.
Feedback would be nice.
Description : Heard this playing in my head found a sound in Nexus that matched what I heard and presto! I guess I will eventually add more to it ,I just loved the sound of the japanese flute!
Description : This track is Earth, sort of the progression of life. It starts out with some cool cave sounds, a very dark flute pad, some World Music samples that I got from FreeLoops--a Japanese woman singing, some Egyptian strings, some Moroccan singers. The tracks builds, so be patient. It has a long intro, but it's worth the wait. It comes in with some African chants, claps, sipsis, some Nigerian stringed instrument that I don't know what it's called, lots of big tribal drums. Then it evolves into a modern day Turkish market scene. It's quite epic, really.
Description : Actually a set of four stylistic variations on a famous Japanese folk melody - traditional, hip-hop, metal, and house. Hopefully not as weird as it sounds.
Description : I recently saw the movie "Kill Bill" by Quentin Tarantino. While the movie was beautifully filmed and well made, I can't really recommend it to anyone who dislikes excessive violence. However, a portion of the movie features an all girl Japanese rock band called The 22.214.171.124's who totally captivated me. After searching YouTube for some of their songs I found several and one called "Edie Is a Sweet Candy" in particular which I really like. This track is dedicated to some fantastic ladies from Japan, The 126.96.36.199's.
Description : This is a hip hop track with Japanese sounds. I don't know how else to better describe it. Please review and tell me what you think.
Description : **MUSIC BY PRIMETIMEPRODUCTIONS**
Just something that popped into my head when I first heard this. It's in Japanese. Just give it a listen. The melody is full of love ^_^
Description : This song was made for my homie Cheevur whos following his dreams out there in Cali. Live it up biatch. The song is all made of samples which isnt usually my style, but cheeve is all in to that hokus pokus. Anyways, the guitar and singing i dont know who it is but it was from the stargate universe pilot. Then i threw in some drums from les claypools percipitation. then i over did it with some samples from a japanese jazz vibraphonist. And theres a silver mount zion sample in there as well.
Description : This is a House/Trance track inspired from the Japanese electronica scene.
Description : Well this is definitely not a mainstream track. Very high energy and busy.(maybe too much so?). Lots and lots of loops here. So many looperman artists here including Loopeytunes, Mhyst and many more. A long piece for me.
Let me know what you think if you feel motivated.
Description : Two Japanese people see each other and fall in love instantly, however theres a problem, ones a poor Farmers Son and the other is a Daughter of a Wealthy businessman, high up in the emporers circle.
They must not been seen together, as this would mean the fathers son loosing his life. So...
They form a plan,..
The Wealthy Daughter, says she would dress up as a cleaner, and escape her house without her father knowing, when she is out they would meet in a crowded place.
The plan goes ahead and they hitch up, in a market area, she thinks she has been tailed so when the farmers son, asks "what is your name" as a code for its me (hes in disguise also).
She ignores him a few times, the farmers son realises this and tries to make it out that he has only just met her, but she ignores him for a while. Finally feeling safe she returns to the farmers son and says that its her, he replies with "pleased to meet you" to keep the cover.
But what was that? - a glint of a blade, a knife perhaps? - No its the edge of her fathers sunglasses and his bodyguards, they have been found out, so they run, hand in hand, forever running, love in thier hearts!
Electronic entry for the All genres comp!
Description : This song is kinda like a story, a Japanese woman who's husband is a samurai goes off to war and every night she stares at the moon waiting for him to come back and fulfilling every memory.
Description : Cinematic, ambient, film like jam with some asian flavor, combined a bunch of drum loops to pick up a big japanese drum vibe, added in some chinese cymbals and woodblocks, some cool low end wind instruments and some modern electronic goodness. I've been experimenting lately with more mellow and cinematic stuff and this is one of my latest creations, hope you like. peace.
Description : here, I basically cut out tiny samples, background sounds mainly, from the movie Charlie Wilson's War and pieced them together (incorporating whole snippets of dialogue for the outro)
The guy speaking at the first of the track is President Frankin D. Roosevelt, taken form his famous "Day that will live in Infamy" speech. (minus his references to the Japanese) I think the coinviction and the sincerity in his voice really sets the mood for the story which was to follow.
All drum loops and sounds are totally original
this track was thrown together with
Fruity Loops, Wave Pad, Pro Tools, CuCu Soft,
and Video Soft Free Studio

Description : LC w/ dvyros. Pronounced correctly it's Japanese for snow. Other options include how one might feel the morning after. He explains how he created 'Beatbox 1 (Cyberdyne_s Agenda)' and 'YaPSR S3a' over at his stomping ground. I added a piece called 'Hewl' offa my Moments of Mayhem CD, If memory serves it's an SH-32 solo. They fit together without TOO much hammering.
Description : This is just something that evolved out of my love for japanese culture... so tell me what you think.
Description : A slow trancy song that builds through out the song and has an ethnic feel with the japanese instrument the shamisen.
