I built the track around the idea that there would be a period of calm before the wave hits, gradually building with sub-basses and strings to a destructive hard sound when it does. Just the thought is enough to deal with...but i also wondered what state your mind becomes when your faced witth a situation so immense and leaving u utterly helpless? So this track is my image of what its like to be swallowed whole by the ocean. Devin Townsend's concept album "Ocean Machine" and in particular the track "Funeral" was a loose reference...vibe wise!

Description : UPDATE 08/08: 2nd edit of track, fixed up a minor clipping issue and toned the triangle down a bit. Very different from what I usually aim for. Koyo is a type of autumn leaf in Japan and I named the track that because it has a very "autumn" subdued feel to it. Any feedback on the track or suggestions for what genre it is are welcome.
Description : Last year I uploaded a cover version of Big in Japan,the classic song originally done by Alphaville.
With the recent events in Japan,I was compelled to re-do this track as a tribute to all the people effected by the events taking place in Japan.
I have used a lot of loops taken from the web to put the instrumental track together.The vocals are all me,and boy,it's hard to do Marian Gold justice.He is an exceptional vocalist!His vocal range is dynamic,and only by trying to sing this song in it's original key,did I realize just how gifted he is.Had to do some serious testicle squeezing to reach these notes,I tell you!!
I hope I have done the song justice.I have added some new elements and put the lofthouse stamp on my rendition of Big In Japan.
My heart goes out to all those people who have been effected by what is happening in Japan!
