Description : It's got a farm-yard blues feeling to it. My '38 lap-steel shines in this one. Yeah, I got the blues but I can find solace and nourishment from my sweety. Paul Luria's doing banjo and some background harmonica.

Description : THIS USE TO BE AN INSTRUMENTAL CALLED PSYCHE POP BUT AN ARTIST FROM BUFFALO MISTA PEREZ WROTE SOME LYRICS TO IT AND CREATED A MELODY SO THIS NEW VERSION WAS BORN AND IS NOW CALLED SPINNIG WOMAN. this is another of my weird trip in trying to recreate the past, this time I went after the Psyche Pop sound of the 60's when Pop music was trying to be cool with fuzz guitars mixed in a pop arrangment, so this is the result Psyche Pop, defenitly more Pop than Psyche, all real instrument samples and loops, I have Mick Fleetwood on drums, Tony Franklin on bass, the Blues Brothers Hornscraft section, Joe Vitale on B3 organ, Bradley Fish on electric lead guitar, Leo Cavallo on acoustic guitar, SlapJohnson on harmonica and a few more electric guitar loops from other sources and finally a trippy vocal sample, a lot of cut and paste and my love for well crafted pop kitch music. So get out the body paint, the VolksWagon mini van let your hair grow long become an activist for peace and celebrate the 40th aniversary of Woodstock, Peace Love and Freedom.

Description : This is my first time playing with sidechaining. I'm using a pretty basic sidechained compressor of a drum line (bass, bass/hat, snare) to a few synths. It definitely has a very interesting sound, which I would previously have assumed was just gating to match the drums (which, honestly, it pretty much is).

I've uploaded two loops of this backing sans-drums; if you want them, check my loops page.

This track is incomplete right now, but more updates will come.

Flute is from the depths of my free sample library and harmonica is Slap's. I'm thinking of playing with some light glitch beats, since the peaking of the main channels is starting to sound like a broken synth.

I really have no idea which way I'm going to take this song.

Description : THIS IS A BRAND NEW MIX OF THIS SKA NUMBER
this is old school British Ska, Madness, The English Beat, The Selecters and my favorite The Specials, for the younger crowd these names might not mean a thing but their influence is all over the place, all loops no processing on the mix and the magic of SlapJohnson on harmonica, his loops are priceless to me thanks Slap.

Description : Heres the deal. This tune was suppose to be a different tune, but somewhere in the process that different tune evaporated and this tune stuck. Only problem was that different tune was in C and thay wasn't a good key for the samples I ended up using.

By the time it actually became "this tune" it was too late to go back and change the key (because I am lazy and I had too many parts already painfully pasted together) so I ended up with a blues in C.

It also means all of your cool "blues" loops will have to have the pitch shift - o - meter set to overdrive.

On a positive note, I found these great harmonica licks by this guy named "Slap Johnson" on this site. They really made the track.

The name has kind of a double meaning. 1) Slap is the guy who played the harp, 2) the horns had to be pitch shifted so much that I added a ton of slap delay to them to hide the artifacting. It makes it sound kind of dance-y.

There you have it. Slap Attack.

Description : Well....here is a tune I have been working on for about 2 months. The first part is basically country music, featuring Dobro, Fiddle, Piano, Pedal steel, Banjo, Harmonica and Flat pickin' Acoustic guitar with pull-off's- hammer-on, etc.

The second part of this tune is pure Cajun music straight from the bayou's of Lousiana, featuring Accordion and Fiddle.
Since I couldn't find any royalty free Accordion Cajun music, My friend Chris Miller from Lake Charles, LA, let me use part of one of his tunes so I could finish this project.

In return, I gave him all rights to use this whole song on his next CD if he wants to. (He won the 2008 CFMA award this year).
On this tune I am not playing the drums, fiddle, harmonica or Accordion (All those from loops). But I am playing all the rest of the instruments. I didn't put a lot of 5-string banjo in as I am a little rusty on that. Maybe next time. :-)

The song may be a little bass heavy for some as I geared it toward computer speakers more.
So if you like this type of music, put on your knee high boots, give a listen, and dance away.
Randy

Description : This track by The Electric Kitten is on our third album, I Was A Fat House Cat. It's got a bluesy country feel with a sharp harmonica but it breaks down into a catchy chorus. One of my favorite tracks.

Description : This one I did many years ago,old school (band in a box) yea I
know more midi (~chimp~) .dedicated to a good friend of mine, Mr.B.Ricci Jr., who's keyboard talent left me scratching my head and picking my jaw off of the floor. The spoken word vocals, harmonica are me, the rest is band in a box, the keyboard synth lead was already in the mix, too cool to take out! The non dominate piano leads were actually done on the computer keyboard by me (a setting that actually let you play along )

Description : Mixed in Mixcraft3. The piano and drums come from the acoustica library. I played the harmonica and guitars. Take note, I am not a much of a harmonica player. If your harp is in the right key, then technically you cant blow a wrong note! Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Description : Sounds a bit depressing, but this song was written about someone I know who self harms, Don't let this put you off, I think this is one of the best songs i've ever written! The song starts quite gentle with a nice little harmonica intro, good build in to the first chorus, the middle 8 sits just right for the guitar solo straight after ( all the sounds are from line 6 tone port, this box is so easy to use and record with and is cheap check it out @ line6.com) let me know what you think, your comments are always welcome.
