Description : I've been rewatching a lot of John Carpenter movies and listening to the soundtracks. I've also been bingeing on 80's gothic synth pop. So I thought I'd give the genre a go. I had fun making it and added lots of different references. Please enjoy and let me know what you think, comments are always greatly appreciated :D
Update: Levels and EQ on Vox and piano have been tweaked. 1 bar has been removed from the extro.
Description : Dark, gothic type love song with little lyrics.
Description : Here is a new Spivkurl track for all of you to check out! My thought process interprets this as industrial gothic, but it's open to external interpretation. This song's sounds were almost entirely sampled from equipment which I hand soldered, whether it be synthesizer builds or circuit bending. The lead vocals were recorded with the new microphone which I built in the past few days, and I'm happy with the way it interacts with my voice. In fact the only piece of gear used that I didn't build was the microphone for the hook vocals... and they are meant to be unintelligible, as they were recorded spontaneously with a patch I called a Spivocoder (on my modular synth). Uptempo and aggressive, it's definitely my sort of industrial. Please give me your opinions if you have the time! Thanks!
Description : The results of one of my most intense recording sessions to date. I don't think I've explored a single key this deeply ever before. (G minor for those of you wondering) I pulled out my old Epiphone Les Paul, which I've rebuilt and customized over the years. Typed the original lyrics for the song on a couple text message drafts in my phone, then expanded upon them. Has some dubstep elements which are obvious, but it's at a higher tempo. So I guess there's some gothic and industrial in there too. Thanks for taking a listen! You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are... Description : A music on which I have adapted this surreal text of Quennie, but well within the musical context.
A Gothic atmosphere ....
To stay in the "beat" of the music, I had to split the text. What the author will excuse for this freedom ....
Thank you for listening ....

Description : Feel free to use This Track. I would love to hear what you come up with if you use this :)
Created using garageband, music maker 15 for the software and a midi keyboard hookup.
Description : A pop track flirting a bit with Gothic style ;)
Description : Dark dubstep or doomstep track. The main drone was made from gothic monk chanting. Now it´s only a riddim, still waiting for it´s lyrics to come
Description : This track is an experiment between a gothic metal atmosphere and a modern rock song. All along the song is possible to perceive a sense of mystery and a sense of something missing, that's why I chose this title. I decided to not use a bass because with it, in the whole song you can hear a distorted grinding sound, disturbing the orchestral instruments. Tell me what you think!
Description : Imagine yourself trapped in an eerie castle where the walls pulse with circuits and glowing lights, much like the inside of a computer. You soon sense an invisible presence that wants you gone. You begin running, frantically searching for the exit. Eventually you come to a massive room with hundreds of bells in many sizes suspended from the ceiling. Mesmerized, you walk quite slowly through the room. Upon exiting, you begin running again, and soon the exit is in sight. You reach the door and burst out of the castle onto a white-tinged landscape. Your relief is short-lived, however, as a dense fog settles over the area....
(Note: this track is intended to replace Aeroturbulence in the tracklisting for my [hopeful] album. It follows Gothic Technologic and precedes Temporal Fog in terms of theme and track number. Reviews are welcome as usual. And for those wondering, yes, I did sample Metroid Prime music.)
Description : it's been a little while since i've made a new track. this one starts off soft with a lot of choir stuff, and then in the middle it gets more electronic-y and drums and stuff start going. you'll have to listen for yourself to really get a feel of what the song is like :)
