The feeling I have with this is that Neil and me are sitting in a garage somewhere with a shitload of instruments and crates of good beer, getting drunk and cranking out some music. Which is a half-truth ;)

Description : I wanted to upload a track that I was, for the most part, disappointed with. I finished this track last night (6-27-08) and I feel that this one lacks direction and the production is so-so. It definitely could have come out better. I don't hate it, but it is, in my opinion, not on the same level as most of what I do. Anyway, I just thought it would be interesting to see what kind of reaction I get from the looperman community. I have come to really like this track. Some seperation has given me a better picture. The overall sound is really good and my playing is definitely a lot stronger than it felt like at the time. Description : This is a 100% loop produced track. I do not play on it at all. I really wanted to do something jazzy because of listening to the great playing of Slap_Johnson and Psychotropic_Circle. Hence the title. I don't take this piece all that seriously and neither should anyone else. I just think it's a good groove. Created and sequenced in Garage Band. All the loops are royalty free. Next time I do something like this I will be playing on it and all the loops will be 100% looperman. Until then, thanks for listening as always. Description : This tracks owes alot to the music of both Sonic Youth and Girls Against Boys, two bands that I hold in high regard. Overall the song has a Noise-Rock meets Garage-Rock feel to it. At least 3 guitar tracks on this, possibly 4, and a heavy bass track, all parts played by me except for the drums which come courtesy of an SR-16. All tracks were recorded direct to an FD8.

I just thought that this song would be fun to put on looperman to show ya'll a "different softer side of me" since most people know me as a rocker type guy that plays in a crazy garage-punk band and would never thought that I'd write something like this. This song is off the "Time of Passion" album that I wrote and recorded. It's old, (like I said, I wrote and recorded this in '93) but still a keeper and every once in a while, I'll drag this song out and perform it for a few friends. If you like The Cure and bands in that genre or even alt-Americana, (No Depression) hopefully you'll like this song, because it can be played different ways. Everytime I play this song, it just keeps on getting more and more 'country' sounding. I don't think I'll ever be happy with the way I recorded it, but what's done is done, but mybe one of these days, I'll record it with just a fiddle, guitar, mandelion, resonator and bass. I think it'd make a really good country song.

Description : This is one of the few songs I tried using Garage Band. I like the song (it's sort of chill out meets ambient meets dance), but I just didn't get into Garage Band. Especially because I have used FL Studio for nearly 8 years, and I could recognize Garage Band loops all over the place. I think it's decent, however!
