Description : Final Version - put back as Drum and Bass, as the original intent was to subvert the genre. After 3 reviews taking me to task for calling it dark psytrance, I'm going with the consensus.

This started out as an attempt to try Dubstep, but a persistent cat took me down an alternate path and I ended up with kind of forecast of a subgenre of DnB yet to be codified instead. When the Muse pulls, it's best to follow.
My daughter's 10 year old cat has a name that's longer than you
can shake a stick at, and one of them is Leaping Razor. This is
the auditory musings of her doing her duties as a responsible feline living with a pack of higher order primates. The ruminations end with the clicking of a can of food.
Loops are from my geng gong series, and Mercury Philosophique, and unposted drum loops made with old Sound Font software. Additional drum loops and bass loops by bosonHavoc. The heavily effected throat chants are by djgriffin and are Creative Commons licensed.
Recorded as a "live" piece with Ableton Live 7 LE. Draft 4=final.
The final version was recomposed to play to the cat's meow now heard throughout.

Description : ok guys i know this track sounds gritty and as far as melody goes, there's almost none. BUT! thats how its meant to sound.
i wanted to create something groovy. something with a funky feel but was still dark and slightly glitchy and broken sounding. and this is what happened.
all parts written by myself, no loops used. all created on REAPER. every synth and the drum sampler i used were all free software! all samples in the drumkit were royalty-free, free downloads except for one or two which was from a music tech magazine DVD.

Description : The 7th track from my 'Above The Plain' album, Robots of the Future is a crossover of genres from dubstep to dark-tronica and from old skool to electro. Made using buzzmachines and an assortment of VSTi's and vocoders, no outside samples were used except that of my brother, Timbassman. Description : This is the 6th track in The Planets collection, Saturn. It has some pretty cool piano riffs going through it, some nice dark ambient spacey pads, some cello contributed by Looperman's Alividlife, etc. We will be revamping this track with an electric guitar solo and Nesrin's vocals later on.

Description : Used a combination of piano, strings, and choir loops from You Are My Heaven and I Miss You as well as drums from Heartsounds....all from member PianoSounds (very talented composer). Intro and underlying rhythmic drum loop is Dark Drums by member Isaak. I like to think my arrangement of these songs has a sort of inspirational feel one might hear in a filmscore.
