Description : Stupid song my friend and I wrote boiii.
Description : Jim added a clean Fender Tele track and some thicker sounds with a custom ES-339 Pro(Epiphone) semi-hollow bodied. Both were mic’ed using my Fender DeVille. I added the bass, the acoustic guitar, the singing and a bit of keys. Jim helped out with the drums and the guitar arrangements. The song... the Drive By Truckers do a song, Guns of Umpqua that inspired this one being written, same subject matter. In America we’ve averaged a mass shooting every day this year. It needs to stop. Now. I hope none of us ever have to get caught up in any of that. Peace.
Description : I posted a short piece of music a few months ago in which Jim played some cool guitar and gave me a bunch of 45 second clips of rhythm and lead guitar parts in the process. Both of us wanted to work the song out but Jim's been busy playing across the state of Florida with a few bands he's been playing in, his talent is in great demand I guess!! So I decided to go through the tracks we recorded that day and with some bass and some vocals I added, put together a track. I added a little tambo, a phased wurli and lots of delay. I took one of Jim's guitar tracks that was noticeably different than the others and made it a guitar interlude to begin the track and then from :30 to 1:10 is the track I uploaded a couple months back. Decided to write this one about what is happening politically in America as it's a strange and worrying time in my country's history.

Description : Jail ain't fun but writing songs about it is. I recently watched a movie on Netflix - "Imperial Dreams," I believe it was called - a great film about the odds stacked against ex-cons trying to live right. The system doesn't want you to succeed because prisoners are commodities that can be exploited for profit. That's why there's so many of them in America, land of the free - more than any other country on earth, including China, a totalitarian state with 4x our population. And yet we sit meekly by and applaud the disastrous war on drugs as it continues to destroy the lives of millions to no good purpose whatsoever. OK, jesus sorry, there I go again. Sunny War on vocals and guitar. Nice funky guitar and an old-school rock-out break. I'm proud of this song. It will be on the TRIBEZ album, which we look good to finish this week. Please comment - it's always encouraging and helpful.
Description : Spoken Word Performance Poet Kamal Imani breaks down how what America and Americans do in terms of the isms, sexism, racism, narcissism, etc... will return in a bad way if people don't think in terms of humanity as a whole.
Description : Everything I find wrong with this country put to words. Made with a few personal loops and many from the Looperman community! Many thanks to all of you! Enjoy!
Description : Who can really rap on this beat?
Description : Would love to hear anyone rap on top of this. I need arranged vocals to make a track around one day. It includes a Kendrick Lamar hook? sample and biggies sample.
Was trying to sample, you're always learning when you know nothing to begin with lol
Description : Update 5/24; remixed it. I decided to do my favorite Bob Dylan song. I was 12 years old when this song came out and very impressionable at that time. The Vietnam war, social changes with massive protests along with Watergate were so engraved in our minds at that time in America and this song was a turning point for me. It took music that I just enjoyed as a kid to a place where it combined politics and I was old enough to get the big picture. Lyrics took on a new meaning at that point, so thanks Bob. Thanks Orlando51 and Tumbleweed also, there are some good, talented people here. I struggled finishing this one and I put it away for a while then decided to go with the midi violin and call it done. Now I know why I like short songs, this one is long with 10 or so verses. It tells the true story of someone set up and falsely accused of murder because of the color of his skin with corrupt lawyers and cops sending him to jail. Sad to see this sort of thing still happening today. Figured now was a good time to try this one.
Description : Inspired by DEADMAU5? Not really unless you count the name. Definitely has it's roots in modern British alternative music. Genre is: alternative progressive house. Built with positivity in mind so apologies if you see any melancholy. Constructive feedback along with harsh criticism and trolling welcome. Enjoy! UPDATE: White noise courtesy of exfain added. Improvements suggested by Tumbleweed added, new drummer track added. A slightly older version was used to remix Dylan Young's: America. This track can make many songs sound lively.
Description : This may be a first for Looperman and one or two of you may even like it (but I doubt too many more will.) This is a New Orleans or Dixieland style jazz track and I don't believe I've ever heard this style here. Dixieland is one of the oldest styles of jazz in America (although they didn't call it this back then) and it's still quite popular in New Orleans. I had the pleasure of playing this style at Seville Quarter, Pensacola, FL., back in my younger years. I did this track for my 93 year old Uncle John, who loves Dixieland. Hope you like it.
Description : "Hood stories never have happy endings" shows the flip side of the flossing & gang posturing that goes on in the urban streets of America. Via the art of hip hop poetry/spoken word, Kamal Supreme illustrates and drops knowledge about the streets. Hot beat
Description : This isn't affiliated with the "Captain America: Civil War" movie!
It's my second time returning to dubstep. I used the mixer pretty much on every percussion and on the synths.
Anyways, I would like to hear your suggestions about the drop or the tunes down on the comments below!
Description : This punk song had it’s beginnings after I read a newspaper article about students in high school who wanted the start time of school to be pushed to a time more convenient for them as they were too tired to get up for school. The cause was staying up late on their mobile devices, texting and on social media and the “like” and parents not taking the devices away when it’s bedtime. The backlash was hilarious in the comments section as terms like “generation cupcake” and “the pussification of America” , “participation trophies” was the basic theme. I was instantly motivated to write a punk song, great material.
I explained to Jim how there seemed to be a certain disconnect between the newer generation of electronic music producers and the real musician citing comments made in the forums here. He just couldn’t believe it, I can’t post his comments because of the language restrictions but we had quite the chuckle.
This one moves, 180 bpm. Started this one about 4 months ago and had done several mixes with synths throughout the song. Then Jim contacted me and I sent him this ambitious number to start us off. He came by, the synths were dumped and this is the result.
The vocals are pretty funny, I lightly used a vocoder in a few places. I played with some panning and some delays and had a blast getting this one done. Once again, Jim has astounded me with his talent. Hope you enjoy this one!
Description : 1906 was the year of the largest emigration wave of Sicilians to America. Sicily, the cradle of mafia and vendeta, and the land of poverty. Why did I compose this? Coincidentaly, last week I was watching again all three "Godfather" movies after a long time (Marlon Brando is still my favourite actor), so I got an idea! The sentiment of leaving beloved homeland and family in desperate search for a better future is the key here to capture. Human heart in sadness but full of hope ! Mediteranean flavour mixed with almost classical elements prevails in this little extra offer. Not a cup of tea for everyone then...probably only for those who are able to survive all that orlandesque trumpery.:) It's a tricky one...ok?
Description : I was really inspired by the independence of America. I really wanted to write a song about the Freedom and the Bravery of the country. Written and produced by Myself.
