Description : This track is mostly tribal. Afro style & jazz are mixing somehow with contemporary (pure 2/4) tribal groove. The harmony is all over chromatic (easy harm. influence Jamiroquai - "too young to die") as the colors of savanna and the jungle. An experiment of an old hunter for new grooves. In contrast, pentatonic at bridge, picardian, mode: t-t-Tm-t with chords of 6/7 split to dominant bass under 6 and 4/7, and so on. I used: Boss DR 880 (several original minimal patterns) joined with a sub-bass, Roland MV8800, Roland Juno Stage (full expanded), Roland 1824, MIDI Sync Router Edirol, some original arps, and a vocoder. The rest is another white night:)) Enjoy!
Description : In this Zulu piece I tried to bring back the old traditional Mbhaqanga sound (a genre within the Zulu traditional music. It's a very "busy" type of music, high tempto with hectic drums & percussions and repetitive rhythm guitars. some people ad keyboards, bass and just about any instrument they like. there are no limits or limitations). Vocals and guitar is all me.
Description : a deep house track from Africa with a little tribal feel
Description : african marimbas african groove african fretless bass sound together with african chant etc ....hope you enjoy.Cheers:)
Description : a sampling beat to chill out, made with reason (dr. rex)
Description : This is my new instrumental tell me what thing about it... xDxDxD
Description : Well after being stuck in Africa for an extra 5 days thanks to the Volcano, its been about 3 weeks since i've made a song, and as soon as I got on the computer I managed to make this. It didnt take long, well, I already had like 4 bars made which really set the foundations for it.
Its good fun, upbeat, some new synths involved as well, I think it all came together really well. Please review! :)
**Revision: Updated, lengthened, levels hopefully sorted out (or at least better) and a new drum beat added for the end. enjoy :)
Description : first again thank you Minette from South Africa for letting me use your great acapella for this track, she told me that it reminded her of Dave Matthews Band and I can hear that especially with my use of the fiddle, this is soft alternative rock with a youngs woman sensibility, hope you enjoy.
Description : Yeah, this is something different and unique.Creativity is all about creating something different and odd. This sound is traditional, fusion of hiphop and some africa sounds,so i call it afrohiphop.Iused fl9 .I think you need to listen to this cause it's different from what you have been listening to.Enjoy!
Description : This is a gwagi song extolling the virtue of the few good men we have here. some of the loops are from fl studio 6, while i also used ethnic flute loops of PW, a looperman fam. i featured a local artist in my area. She is called "Saro Tee". Very talented but stubborn vocalist, am going to upload her vocals very soon. your reviews will be appreciated. Enjoy another the voice of Africa.
Description : This music was born based on a fantasy. The live begins in Africa and it will live together in the future...Hypnotic track for chillin and relax or dance whatever..i used some tribal loops nexus vst and the main effect vst-s in FL studio 8 thx for listening!!!!! Greetings for Members
Description : Importing Hungry Ghosts (shards of pot de tetes). My first seasonal Halloween track. Loops from planetjazzbass, bosonHavoc, and DJ4Real. Live MIDI recording with DSK Darkness Theory, and effected live kalimba (finger piano) track. The bass is a homemade kalimba made from an acoustic guitar (without neck) with keys made from a bamboo rake, played live as an overdub.
DRAFT 2: Edited down from 6:16 to 3:57. The foundation is now ready for spooky jungulified melody work!
DRAFT3: Added simulated fiddle melody in live recording. There's a tradition in W. Africa about the godji (monochord fiddle) being the sound that penetrates the spirit world and it seems fitting to add this kind of sound.
DRAFT4: Total revision of draft 3, but I kept the fiddle sounds via psychotropic circle and added "possession voices" via the same loop creator. Hopefully this is the terrifying version I'm looking for.
Description : Awesome artist in South Africa who's song I remixed in a more deep funky vibe.......I like it....
Description : Ladies and gentlemen. I'd like to introduce to you South African House also known as SA House. I like to fancy my country as the mother of House music since 1000's of years ago music emerged from Africa. Our people are dependent of House. House makes the World go round. I've got all the reference I need by just walking down the street. I was inspired by our local Sunday Night events. People from all over our provence gather with BMW's and burnout. And has the largest collection of underground House Music I know. Wether I'm white, black, coloured or indian we don't care, cause it's House that bring us together as 1 nation. Hope you enjoy
Description : Dont relly have much to say except it has recieved rave reviews at here. ENJOY
Description : tried something a bit different with this...and it worked!! lol..used mainly samples and built some bits on fruityloops 8, track out together on fruity loops......
Description : This is the "single" off my promo album coming real soon. I aint trying to brag nothing, just got to post this one for my looperman family. You know!
I really enjoy this song. I've been listening to this crap on the radio lately kuz we can't neglect it. It's music. But i got angry at how selfish we are in American music, the rap isn't for the streets any more, and that's where it was born and where it should continue to live.
This song was inspired by all who forget where they come from, For those struggling, Those in Somalia, Africa on a hungry tip.
Pay attention and focus on whats going on.
Description : Project Jump4Joy2010 Summary. By E-mail me your Cv and explain how you can and want to contribute to this project. This is a Global Project for a collaborative effort to put together a theme song for the 2010 world cup soccer in South Africa. The basic idea is to take the song and translate it to the official languages for every country who has ever played a final in the WC series. These include English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Hungarian, Czech. These songs will then be made available for free to South African Media during the 2010 world cup. Other distribution rights will remain in the group of artists.
The current status is: lyrics(English) and chords/melody fixed (could be changed if really needed), but for the rest everything needs to be added. We have access to studio facilities, but have not yet allocated this to a specific person. We prefer not to have a studio involved until the project has a bit of momentum, but are open to change this if required. Current status of music: a very simple basic demo (Nothing final) of the song to get some input from contributors on the web – need drums, keyboard/synth, guitar and vocals – song should start out small but intense, one voice or children’ s choir (will be decided in final mix)– and grow in second part, and must create a crowd/stadium sound – such as fans singing in the final chorus part, i.e. build up to a mass choir in the last repeated stanza. Maybe have a woman s voice to start off, but the final chorus will be male dominated, vibrant and powerful. Instrumentalists, feel free to be creative with the instrumentals, but keep the previous in mind please. This is a great opportunity for the instrumentalists in the song, since the project vision is that there will be only one official backtrack to the 10 different language versions. The project requires Songwriter and Vocal talent Managers for each of the 10 languages . (if your official language is not on the list, and you are willing to manage that part, please contact us as well.) The musical team will comprise of maximum 8 contributors who will contribute their time free ( if profits are generated, a percentage is paid per contributor). Possible instruments to be included: guitar, keyboard/synth, drums/percussion and vocals/lead/supporting. This is the only project as far as we know, and the only song that the media will have available in virtually every official language of top participating countries.
4/4 time 120bpm
ngSSB - drums
Spacebric -melody/synth and vocals
Description : Inspired by Dj4Real's "Light Saber" pad loop and an image of a hot breeze blowing over the rooftops in N. Africa. Good enough to pull up again and do some editing. Remastered for this update. Uncredited vocal samples found on a Creative Commons based site.
Description : Living in Africa by any means is no easy task. But the spirit might live on through music and form.
Description : I've made this track to give you guys the feeling of the next World Cup Football in Africa. the only sample I've used is the etnic drum, everything else is played by me... ;)
Description : Coming from South Africa where we do not have any subways, I found my first experience riding a subway rather memorable. I was in Hungary at the time, so I wrote a breakbeat track that translates my feelings on the experience.
Description : This track got a lot of attention in South Africa when I first played it.It has been one of the most popular from Cloud Dancing.
I used extensive sample work to create the track ,with samples from ejay, magix and garageband. Some of the vocals I sang myself and some are samples.
I did a lot of synth and drum work myself.
