Description : CHALLENGE! My buddy and wrote and recorded this song in about an hour yesterday and I am at a loss for a melody or lyrics. Anyone wanna take a crack at it feel free! Also this is my first acoustic recording venture (as you can see from the first MIDI one, not going so well LOL) so let me know what you think or if you have any advice for this NOOB!!!
Description : Not very often do I work much with software instruments or audio that isn't real-time, but occasionally I enjoy dabbling with an idea here and there. This is one of those, from a fairly run-of-the-mill tune I wrote a few years ago as a college freshman (I don't have the complete track at the moment - I'll see if I can dig it up to post).
The organ part was extracted from a funk sample that I thought could be applied to sit behind the beat in a reggae rhythm. I wrote the song around that, and wove in other instrumentation, along with a synthesized drum machine part which underlies the acoustic drum tracks. This version lacks the horn parts and backing vocals (as well as the full-length of the song, since this is a shortened, unmastered sample I mixed for brevity's sake) of the later product, but it was a fun spur-of-the-moment idea.
Description : Acoustic guitar and vocal only, the laid-back version. I'm thinking of adding some very subtle loop tracks into this. What do you think?
Description : This is the 3rd track taken from my 2nd album "Filter". This track is completely out of my normal genre of Electronica. It consists of just an acoustic guitar and some bells, and that's it. What makes this track is the lyrics.
It's about myself falling in love with someone I can't have, however, I wish I could have them, so I create these images in my mind about getting my way.
Like I said, this isn't my genre, but I truly hope to see some feedback. Thank you
Description : 2 Electro-Acoustic guitars. Rhythm and Lead. For those of you that like the mellow - here is one for you to drink in.. use headphones if necessary and enjoy
Description : Dem 2 acoustic guitars again. A sort of folky/blues idea based on a descending arpeggio on the Em chord + added lead jam along. Kept it in the unplugged style as I could easily overcook it adding too much percussion/backing. ..if any of you guys have an idea to put to this track then feel free to add and let me know.
Description : 2 acoustic guitars again giving it an "unplugged" sound. This melody was taken from a christmas song I wrote. slowed down and made a little bit more bouncy. with subtle rhythm change about half way through
Description : The irony of the subject matter of this track, is as relevant today (maybe even more so) as to when I originally wrote
this dark tune back in '94. While conceptualizing the vocals for this track, I was trying to go for a cross between "Iggy Pop" and "David Bowie".
Most who've reviewed this track thus far, say that it sounds like a song for a movie, you decide.
Much thanks to my good friend "Art Miller" for his time and talent. I sing all vocal parts, play bass & organ. Art plays acoustic, rhythm & rock guitars. Hope you dig it, peace. D
Description : Acoustic/hiphop/psyche
piano midi self I, sequenced percussion
phrase/Bar variant Lv-1
FX Lo-fi definition
Description : 2 electro-acoustic guitars and a tune built around one ambient chord that I found when practicing one day...oh and I added a few more chords as well as the lead part
Description : Didnt know what genre to put this in. As its rhythm acoustic guitar track first its gone in Acoustic, but I also played my electric guitar in my marshall amp and squeezed that sound into this mix. basically this is a thoughtful doodle with 2 guitars, starts quiet, builds up...looking back..
Description : 2 Acoustic guitars - If "emotions" had a sad theme then this is the opposite. When we've been down its good to start buzzing again. be hopeful !!
Description : Just acoustic guitar. Odd time signature. No click track. I'm getting a little backed up now with all these tracks and no vocals.
Description : Not a synthesizer in sight on this one. Does what it says on the tin..basically its me on 2 electro-acoustic guitars, bongos and shaker. Thats it. It's got what I think is a summer feel to it, I've enjoyed doing this one a lot thought about making a whole CD with stuff like this. usual "blue" notes (thanks Cyryus08) but it was fun !!
Description : A downloaded drum loop from looperman gave me the idea to try a chill out track. here is one after much editing to get inside the download size of 8mb. I used my Kawai synth for piano/strings/base and electro acoustic guitar for the lead track.
Description : 2 electro-acoustic guitars again. I put a lot of emotion and feeling into this. When words are not enough.....
Description : No big deal here...Only easy listening Chill, i used acoustic guitar and piano-loops in combination with a more techno-bass background. Just experimenting a bit ;-)
Description : After a day of very little going right, I decided to vent my wrath upon my trusty friend the guitar. This is unrehearsed and something I definately needed to do and this is the result. A LOT rough round the edges (and middle) but if you've had a grot day, then give this a blast !!! 2 elecro-acoustic guitars again in a style I cannot pigeonhole....you decide?
Description : 2 acoustic guitars but 4 christmas songs in a medley. This was hard to nail. not quite there but you get the general idea. The christmas songs/carols run in this order (1) Good King Wenceslas.(2) Joy to the World.(3) O come all ye faithful.(4) Hark the Herald Angels sing.--- difficult but fun !!
Description : Acoustic rendition of this christmas carol - 2 guitars then 3rd with a harmony line. starts folky and trad. then a bit more cafe rock style.
Description : 2 Acoustic guitars joined by a 3rd acoustic guitar just before the key-change. a bit folky yet bluesy. this is my offering of this wonderful song.
Description : 2 Electro acoustic guitars "unplugged"
in cafe rock/funk style (eventually)
Description : Well....here is a tune I have been working on for about 2 months. The first part is basically country music, featuring Dobro, Fiddle, Piano, Pedal steel, Banjo, Harmonica and Flat pickin' Acoustic guitar with pull-off's- hammer-on, etc.
The second part of this tune is pure Cajun music straight from the bayou's of Lousiana, featuring Accordion and Fiddle.
Since I couldn't find any royalty free Accordion Cajun music, My friend Chris Miller from Lake Charles, LA, let me use part of one of his tunes so I could finish this project.
In return, I gave him all rights to use this whole song on his next CD if he wants to. (He won the 2008 CFMA award this year).
On this tune I am not playing the drums, fiddle, harmonica or Accordion (All those from loops). But I am playing all the rest of the instruments. I didn't put a lot of 5-string banjo in as I am a little rusty on that. Maybe next time. :-)
The song may be a little bass heavy for some as I geared it toward computer speakers more.
So if you like this type of music, put on your knee high boots, give a listen, and dance away.
Description : well i found these wonderful acoustic loops by Rei4real and loved them, so i used them, added a bunch of other looperman loops that i can`t remember names if your loops in this track thanks a bunch you`ll know who you are, i did the telecaster lead part from MOR and syrian voice from VOP on my keys the drums were Addictive drums and i only added a little slap bass at the end.
Description : This is a rough beat to it, but im diggin this song.
Tell me what yall think.
