Description : This is the next track in the new Planets series, using the NASA recordings. Like the others, this one has recordings of Earth taken from the Voyager space probe. I called it 'The Lonely Planet' because (so far) it's the only one that has so much activity and life. And it's a noisey place, even from outer space. Lots of whirs and swooshes and moans and beeps. If you listen closely in the beginning, you can hear what sounds like three ticks, like someone hitting a wood block. That is not a man-made sound. It's something in our sonic frequency. Anyhoo. Me on acoustic guitar, also some strings. There's a video for it on YouTube, too. Just search "Cyryus" or the song title.

Description : This is an experimental track for me in several ways. All of the percussion sounds were individually programmed on my Microkorg synth, which gives them a very unique sound. I played some acoustic electric guitar for this one, which I don't do very often. It's played in C phrygian mode. It's somewhat minimal, but I like it this way. I'd love to hear what you think! Description : This song is a 100% sample arrangement using Reaper 3 software. I began with the somewhat discordant pad that runs throughout the entire song and built around it. This, I felt had a good cinematic vibe. It includes samples of a soft acoustic guitar to create a mellow beginning then it becomes fun and light hearted during the chorus sections when a quirky bass loop and drum emerges. As much of my work, it remains difficult to classify but is the result of my internal thought processes and limited samples. I don't recall where the samples originated from.

Description : I was very bored and decided to make a song out of just my guitars again...but i strayed a little and used a beer bottle being opened and breathing...but everything else is my acoustic guitar and my strat.
Most of the sounds were made through manupulating the audio and adding certain effects to get the sounds i wanted.

Description : This is a reconception of another version of Venus. In other words, I re-did it. I like this one better. Since Venus is named after the Goddess of beauty, I tried to keep this one more peaceful and relaxing and chill. It has its ambient vibe as well, with some space pads, some flute samples, acoustic guitar. The tempo shifts, starts out kinda fast, then cuts to half-tempo about midway through.
Description : This is just a nice chill track with a flute sample that I got from Sampleswap. It had some piano, a couple of my acoustic guitar riff running through. I wanna put some more acoustic guitar on, something more elaborate and fleshed out, but I'll have to wait on that. It has some nice percussion stuff and some cool ambient synths. Thinking of having Asli sing to this one as well, maybe put it on her CD.
Description : Cosmic blues? Put your body in a hot-tub, and your mind at sea, and you'll get to feel some chills when I split octaves and finger-bend (no twang-bar) my 20-string electric/acoustic dulcimer-fire-harp. Which is also bowed like a cello on a separate track. Think Jeff Beck slowed down. It almost sounds like dub-style-trance-music, as monotony is as real as train-sounds in the valley at 5:am.

Description : Found a nice VST piano sound (True Pianos) and jammed out this tune while keeping record button on. and then put electro-acoustic guitar over it. Unreahearsed and flits in and out of a few different styles, thats why I've put it in fusion. Feel frue to add/chop/splice. Would be nice to hear some nice drumming added, brushes maybe....?
Description : Captured audio of a random jam with my buddy a few days after Christmas via my phone. I did what I could to pull the peaky piano down a bit, but it's still kind of rough.
This was pretty much entirely unplanned, so you'll have to forgive the abrupt tempo changes and "hmm, what am I going to play here?" parts where I just smack the keys until I find something. We'd been playing on this groove for a minute or two and I thought it sounded good, so I pulled out my phone, hit the video recorder, tossed it somewhere, and forgot about it for a few minutes.
