Description : This track came along quite strangely.
When I was a kid sometimes I saw dead birds in the garden. I always took it upon myself to bury them and make a religious cross out of bamboo sticks to plant on their little grave. I wondered how they fell. Was the wind too strong or did they get hit by something or maybe its time came. Point is, I always got there too late. Once I tried to revive one of them for 30mins. I stuck a straw into its opened beak and started blowing air into its body. There was so much air maggots started crawling out. Another reminder that I was too late.
This time, years later when I'm 22yrs, when all those childhood memories are supposedly forgotten, it hits me.
One day at home we heard this screeching sound and we saw a bird on the floor in the living room barely alive. I held it to see if it was ok but around 5 minutes later it died in my hand.
Our cat at home had sunk its teeth into its lungs since the bird was breathing quite heavily as every breath seemed to be slowing down and its eyes started closing bit by bit. At that time i was thinking how weird it was since I've never been able to see a bird this close up before while still alive and warm. I didn't know how long it had left to go.
I was wondering whether it knew it was dying hence to why it didn't bother trying to crawl off the palm of my hands. Its like it didn't fear anything, just sitting there taking its last breaths while slowly drifting away.
It began to lean, slowly falling on its side. It was gasping for more air. I didn't know what to do, thus I started blowing air towards it hoping it'll be enough. I was looking in its eyes, it looked back.
Staring at each other I suddenly realised what was really going on. That day, two different species, bird and human, were witnessing the same fact of life that is imminent to us all, from two different perspectives. We were both undergoing this experience we all fear, and it didn't matter that we were so different to each other. As two different bodies with completely different abilities and brain size, that moment contained no differences among us as we both understood at that precise moment the exact same thing. I shared an experience with a bird as if it was another human being. It felt really strange that I was connected to it in some way but I felt honoured.
Thus, this track began on that same night as a diary of that particular experience. It symbolises something which frankly is extremely difficult for me to put into words.
Description : So, with a head full of ganja last night I was in love with this one. Still a work in progress, though. Mandolins with club and glitch-hop beats. I thought it was a great fusion piece but giving it another listen today, it sounds more just straight folk-rock. What do ya'll think? I wanna make it a bit more obnoxious/weird. Description : Project Jump4Joy2010 Summary. By E-mail me your Cv and explain how you can and want to contribute to this project. This is a Global Project for a collaborative effort to put together a theme song for the 2010 world cup soccer in South Africa. The basic idea is to take the song and translate it to the official languages for every country who has ever played a final in the WC series. These include English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Hungarian, Czech. These songs will then be made available for free to South African Media during the 2010 world cup. Other distribution rights will remain in the group of artists.
The current status is: lyrics(English) and chords/melody fixed (could be changed if really needed), but for the rest everything needs to be added. We have access to studio facilities, but have not yet allocated this to a specific person. We prefer not to have a studio involved until the project has a bit of momentum, but are open to change this if required. Current status of music: a very simple basic demo (Nothing final) of the song to get some input from contributors on the web need drums, keyboard/synth, guitar and vocals song should start out small but intense, one voice or children s choir (will be decided in final mix) and grow in second part, and must create a crowd/stadium sound such as fans singing in the final chorus part, i.e. build up to a mass choir in the last repeated stanza. Maybe have a woman s voice to start off, but the final chorus will be male dominated, vibrant and powerful. Instrumentalists, feel free to be creative with the instrumentals, but keep the previous in mind please. This is a great opportunity for the instrumentalists in the song, since the project vision is that there will be only one official backtrack to the 10 different language versions. The project requires Songwriter and Vocal talent Managers for each of the 10 languages . (if your official language is not on the list, and you are willing to manage that part, please contact us as well.) The musical team will comprise of maximum 8 contributors who will contribute their time free ( if profits are generated, a percentage is paid per contributor). Possible instruments to be included: guitar, keyboard/synth, drums/percussion and vocals/lead/supporting. This is the only project as far as we know, and the only song that the media will have available in virtually every official language of top participating countries.

Description : Final remix and edit done with Ableton Live 7 LE and Audacity. I tried (fairly successfully) to separate the sounds a bit and give some emphasis to the higher frequencies as well as the low. The tablas sure sound good!
Description : This will eventually feature the vocals of Asli Orcen, singing in Turkish. It has a cool intro that gives the effect of being out in the desert with locals singing in the distance. There are some Middle Eastern daf drums, some darbuka drums, a Middle Eastern violin called a sarangi, and some regular Hip-Hop drums. There's no World music category, so I had to put it in Fusion, seeing as it is a little of everything.

Description : This track was on here before, but I think it kinda got lost among the 50 tracks I had posted at the time...heh...Anyway, I'm not sure what category it should go in...Hip-Hop? Breakbeat? Cinematic? So, I put it in Fusion. It has a dramatic feel to it with rolling timpani, some pretty hardcore drums, and this really interesting, cool sample of an orchestra trill that sounds like it's being stopped and restarted on a turntable, which I really liked. It gives the track an exciting feel, sort of an action hero thing happening, maybe an awesome car chase or explosive shootout. Anyway, this one sounds best when cranked up to full tilt :) enjoy...
Description : Here's my track for Barry's Blue Tooth competition. It's my first track on Looperman, and my second attempt on using loops and beats:).
I adjusted the tempo to 120, made some tiny changes to the chord progression, kept all drum tracks (but nudged them one beat to the left to get a different feel), kept the keyboard and the electric guitar (but chopped it up, faded it in and out and reversed bits of it). Then I added some looped guitars and some perc.
I played my midi keyboard and made a new bass line, strings and some other stuff. Then I wrote lyrics, inspired by a trip to Istanbul in Turkey in March. If I had more time I probably would have made the song a little longer;).
