Description : It is a bluesy kind of song where I have used a few vocal samples by Akai (in iMPC on ipad). I hope you like it.

Very pleasant - great to listen to after a hard day working. Sultry without being OTT. Only comment I would add re production is, (and this is just an idea), I would've added an alto female voice at the 2.30 min- 3 min point. However, it is absolutely fab as it is. Kay0s
Thank you so much for listening and commenting to my music. I am glad you liked it. I also like your idea and in general I like to hear to ideas, it is probable to listen to thinks I do not know and I have not thought of. Thank you once more,
My best wishes, Anthony.
Hi Antony, I normally use the ATH M70x, a closed studio headphone. I usually get along better with it than with open headphones. Since no one else can hear it, it must be my ears *smile*. But again, the song is excellent! Best wishes, Manuela
Hello Manuela,
I am sure you have spotted some clipping, so I try to be more cautious with the mastering tools. Actually I am working on a beautiful guitar loop from LM, I mean I am trying to make a song out of it and I have already recruited the Steinberg limiter to help me avoid clipping. It is my way of doing things...I am driven by the sounds, most of my songs are made because some sounds motivated me. It is not always a melody on the piano, it is more probable a chord progression and sounds. This is where mistakes happen. But, I am very content you liked it as a song.
Thank you again for your thoughtful comments
Wish you the best, Anthony.
Hi Anthony,
Well, this song is certainly different from your other songs that I know. I really like the persistent, almost stubborn, dragging bass and drum drive. It was also a good idea to gradually increase the volume of a second instrument in the intro sequence with a panning effect. The structure of the song is good overall, and the hinted vocals add a nice touch. So far, great work, which I also really like.
What I dont like as much is the slight clipping in the song. I think you probably intended this subtle distortion, but while listening, I felt like my headphone membranes were about to give out. I actually had to listen to a reference song to make sure that wasnt the case.
Hello Manuela
I did try not to have clipping and distortion, and I was satisfied on my headphones. I use a pair of Sennheisers (hd 300 pro), which have a descent sound. There may be a slightly distorted last note of the synth on the left channel around 2:59, but not something else I could hear. At what amount of volume do you regularly listen to music, is it below or over 70% ? I do believe though it clipped to your headphones and I suspect it is because of my recent attempt of mastering the song. It is an older song of mine, kept as a .wav file, unmastered. It is such a delicate equilibrium that of a successfully mastered song and a spoiled one. I really am glad you liked the song and as you say, smile.
Best wishes, Anthony.
nice drums and that synth is great, love the transition in to the vox which are excellent mate, love that electronic vibe sounds really good all the tasty little additions roll in and just add to a great mix, nice work and different from you too :)
Thank you Paul
Your positive attitude is always a plus, really helpful and boosting. You also think it is different and I like that. I do not remember what exactly I did with that song, and I think I miss the project file. Unfortunately I have not been so keen in organizing my music files. I have a slight suspicion it was made with the Sequel (it is a Steinberg product), but I do not have the program any more due to hard disk space matters. New software came in, so I had to balance the whole thing. I sure worked with it somehow differently. I have used iMPC, the AKAI sample library, the Sequel and possibly finally Cubase. Not my usual workflow. Sometimes it is very time consuming and this is no good, nor too healthy. As you may have seen for the time being I am not using fresh material from LM. I upload stuff I already have. Economy in time for this period. Thank you Paul once more, I really enjoy your analysis.
Best wishes, Anthony.
Hello my friend
It so good to hear you like what I try with music. It is my real hobby for many years. There have been pauses (life is not always an easy task) but I manage somehow to return. This period is creative enough and in a way I enjoy it. Having listeners and friends that will give you their opinion is way more fun and energetic, a real joy. So, thank you so much for posting your kind words, it is really appreciated.
Wish you the best, Anthony.
man i love how you got the bass hitting
those high pitch plucks came in and gave me chills
love this track
im a sucker for some slower groovy funk.
you brought just enough drums to keep it a bop
I am so pleased you liked my music. It is spontaneous, I mean I cannot think in a genre way and follow some "rules". It was this excellent vocal that gave me the reason to start making this music. So glad you liked it.
Wish you the best, Anthony.
Thank you so much for listening and commenting on the song. I really am glad you see the site this way. That makes room for everyone who loves music creation.
Best wishes, Anthony
Thank you so much for listening and commenting on the song. I am really flattered by the way you perceived my music. It is so essential to understand what is that a listener likes. Diversity, it sure is a good way of expression and sometimes I feel I succeed this goal. It is rather impulsive than pursued. So I am happy you liked it.
Wish you the best, Anthony.
Hello Richard
I am so glad you listened to the song and that you seemed to like it. I too think it is a great vocal sample this one and of course this is the reason why I thought I might make a song around it. I must have worked on it maybe last year, I don't quite remember. I believe that as a whole, the song has a somehow dull sound and it is my bad. These samples are crystal clear but in the mix they need to be used the right way. I hope you really like it.
Best wishes, Anthony.
Hi Anthony - I felt hints of Edwyn Collins in this ( A girl like You). You take us on a lovely journey through a Bluescape to Soaring guitars, The East and beyond. I love the twists and turns and that you don't know what's round the corner. Enjoyable track. Kay0s
Thank you, thank you for your kind critique, it is needed and welcomed. This is a great idea for my composition problems (I frequently do get to dead end points). I mean you say it so beautifully ("you don't know what's round the corner") and it's a releasing perspective of composing. I am very glad it has been an enjoyable listen to you.
My regards, Anthony.

Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...
My best wishes, Anthony.
