Hey Manuela, hats off - another improvement. Really well produced, beautifully sung and so emotional. It seems like you can't do anything wrong... What's next?
Best wishes from Micky
By the way, I would have classified this as R'n'B.
Thank you for your message and your kind words. So, whats next? According to the announcement on Instagram and Hello, we will be releasing a new single together with Olafs Bigband at the beginning of October. This single was produced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Bigband and will be part of an album with the same name, but it will also appear on SisterAct. A preview of the single should have been released yesterday, including on LM.
Unfortunately, we have not yet received any notification from AudibleMagic regarding the creation of the version ID. Without this digital protection, we will not upload any high-quality productions to LM. To be clear, there is too much proven theft happening here. Instead, we will upload a song from Manuelas album Lieder, as this album, which will be released in the fall, is already fully digitally signed and ID registered.
lol, Jeff Beck,@EXAN do your homework, made me laugh tho', ask AI for help, Manuela +Jeff don't need it original creators and pro's, if your hearing AI content best change your headset or speakers :)) and by all accounts Jeff's a moody F#cker but he'll be laughing his ass off at that.
the original and British was GEOFFREY ARNOLD BECK (R.I.P)
he changed to Jeff cos it was far cooler
i great track with a personal message to a person in OUR community we all love and respect. nothing artificial in anyway, just saying like
I put it down to his youth and inexperience. But I advise him to practice self-reflection and look for the reasons for his lack of success within himself, instead of blaming other musicians who have performed well. Well, maybe he will understand at some point.
I can't be the only one who is noticing that this is obviously AI-generated content. I don't have a problem with this in and of itself, but at least be honest with this fact instead of lying about a fake collaboration with a now deceased Jeff Beck. I'd love to be proven wrong, but it's tiring seeing original creators being overshadowed by content creators relying on prompts rather than their own creativity.
Hello,
well, you're completely wrong! This Jeff Beck has nothing to do with the brilliant deceased British guitarist. Except for the similarity in the stage name. Incidentally, the Jeff Beck you quoted was called Arnold Beck in real life. What you're saying here are slanders and allegations that have no basis whatsoever. If I were you, I'd be careful about denouncing others.
Best wishes, Manuela
Hi 2Sisters.....just had a chance to check out your track and enjoyed the listen.....thought it was well put together and nice duet vocals.....very good work.
Where is the best place to find more of your content? I tried following some links but for some reason they all seem to be dead leads. I'm interested in hearing this song without the looperman effect
All links in our profile are working fine. I have just checked them again. However, this song is currently only available here. It is dedicated to a special person and will also be included on our upcoming album "Sister Act", which will be released at the end of the month. The album will be available for a fee. Best regards, Manuela
Why yours? Why not. I will eventually get to the others. When I took my first peek at what's happening here, it seemed like you and your band present yourselves as a professional act. And not that others don't, you just stood out more. It was something in the way you credit members in your band that said to me, I should review yours first. Your band's high level of professionalism, commitment, and the presentation will draw fans to your group. You have clearly illustrated that. Your profile of places listed, where you can be heard also helped.
Hey, I am new here, I will get something up in the near future. But my songs typically take weeks, and not days or hours. I appreciate your gracious handling of what I wrote, cheers. I'm just getting off the ground. Likewise, I'm not trying to overexert myself here to start. Thank you.
Hi Ollie, everything is fine! I'm really looking forward to hearing your songs. You might have already uploaded one of your finished songs to start with. But don't stress, we still have some time here. Smile
Hi Chris, I'm glad to hear that you like the song. It's not often that I get the chance to work with such a well-known and talented artist as Jeff. Best wishes, Manuela
Hi, yes, I was trying to choose my words very carefully. But I think Anthony said it best, there is a lower overall quality to the track that so many things in it suffer, like the vocals and the drums for one, in my opinion.
Because I saw all the lovely comments you got, I wanted to be as truthful as possible. Maybe the WAV version sounds perfect. But, when you used a lower compression bit rate for your mp3, it will cut most of the upper frequencies that sometimes results in a tin can sound effect (upper frequency artifacts), unintentionally. That's what I hear as a result of your lower compression rate. It just does not sound all that natural in manner of speaking. The drums should be clearer and punchier, but they are suffering under your lower mp3 compression file rate. I am sorry if I did not make my original review clearer for you. As I said earlier, this was a nitpicky critique, but nothing seriously wrong. Thanks for the welcome. Cheers!
Okay, then everything is clear. When will we hear from you? I noticed that so far you have only analyzed our song on LM and nothing else. Why ours? Aren't you interested in the others?
I love smooth jazz sound and this song is really well made. I do understand your concerns about the copyrights and consequently the lower quality of the uploaded track. Excellent vocals by both of you. Excellent musicians too.
Hope you are all well
Greetings from Greece, Anthony
Hello Anthony, well, I know, but we've had a lot of good experiences here, but also some bad ones. That's why our songs are digitally signed. But it's also because of the terrible compression here at LM, which is particularly noticeable in songs that aren't produced with loops, but are played by musicians and therefore require a larger bandwidth. We've noticed that all songs that are longer than 4 minutes suffer particularly. Thank you for your praise and best wishes to Greece, Manuela
Vielen Dank.
Das hat mich emotional beruhrt und ich schatze es sehr.
Deine Stimme klingt hier ungewohnlich schon.
Das liegt daran, dass du es mir vorgesungen hast, hmmm?
Vielen Dank und einen Kuss.
Hi little one. Yesterday i post my comment here but where is it?
Ok..again.
First i want to say your voice is here amazing!!!! And i like Jeffs voice also.
The lyrics...yess i know for who....me!!!!
Its beautiful and i hear some words that i didd use in my tracks. Cage, ashes, i will rise...
Much much love from Rotterdam.
This was a nice suprise and gift.
Ps...I fell in love with...Jeffs voice.
Is he free ? lol
Hi @2Sisters. Well, let me say this before I get started on my very first review, I noticed that reviews here are not as in-depth as I hoped. Reviews here, it seems, are more personal than an actual musical assessment or critique.
First, the musical arrangement was good, I liked the chorus parts more than the verse parts. The Chorus/Bridge parts added a lift or break to a somewhat repetitive arrangement, in my constructive opinion.
The lyrics, great! I don't need to dive hard into the lyrical writing. Well done there!
My biggest issue with this song, without trying to sound too negative, is the post-production. There is a very unpleasant artifact sound from start to finish, due to potentially, a misused compressor, or production effect. The result is an unpleasant tunnel type noise. That's just me being nitpicky. Overall, it is a great song, you and your team has put together. But just maybe some small details were missed. But in any regard, it is still a nice song.
Hello and good evening. First of all, I would like to welcome you as a new member here. Yes, we are usually nice to each other here. That's a good thing, because we see ourselves as a community. There are collaborations here that go far beyond LM. Each of us is happy to receive concrete, factual criticism, although the word criticism does not have negative connotations. We are also happy to receive active contributions, such as uploading loops of acapellas and, as in this area, complete songs. And yes, we also point out errors and production problems and support each other.
I have read your message and we have listened to the song repeatedly in the studio. But I cannot understand your comment about the artifacts throughout. What exactly do you mean? Annoying clicks, crackles, distortions, echoes that are not present in the original sound? Signal interference? Unfortunately, it is known that we have a compression problem here. So please be more specific about what you are seeing.
Best w
A beautiful piece, had my eyes moist for some reason i cant fathom yet. Ive come to expect and anticipate such beauty in your vocals, Manuela. Theres not many around my parts (if any) who have this sort of sound. an ethereal quality that gives mechills on occasion. I always know Im in the company of greatness. so well done goes without saying. I do hope the person this was meant for got the message that was intended. - Aaron
Hello Aaron, yes the message was understood! I'm very happy about that too. But I'm also happy to see you here. I appreciate your attention and also your kind words. Kind regards, Manuela
what a sweet song - gently heartbeat like pulse - great vocals (manuela you sound especially amazing) and gorgeous harmonies too. Then theres the subtle strings and a delicate touch with the instrumentation and some (Jim Gordon eat your heart) spot on drums
she knows, simply gorgeous, guys. i felt every word, great track, a lovely dedication. she will be touched im sure, well done all, Jeff and Manuela your delivery was beautiful, well done guys
