    Great track.
A community project sounds like a fun idea bro.

cheers BM, it was fun this one. as regards a community project as we aint making anything a few of us were thinking a charity song. we give music our time anyway for free, so nothing changes really we just all chip in singers can sing musicians can play and the producers can put it all together a single theme. we could put it on paid music stores, if it makes anything the choosen charity benefits, and as your aware every penny dime euro helps. its not about individualism, its about doing good for everyone, we have nothing to lose, well maybe ego, show us we not as good as we think :))
theres enough good causes to support, men and prostate cancer is a headline at the minute, education on that is needed 1-8 of us will get it. of course theres climate control but like i said to MT leave that for the tree huggers....We'll see if we can get some intrest first though

What an interesting take on an iconic classic. I've always said that there are only two ways to make a cover. Either you do it exactly as it was originally done, or you take that fucker, flip it, trip it and make it your own. And that, sir, is exactly what you have done. Nice job on this one. Keep it up.

    Take care.

Cheers V, if i could play guitar i would try a straight cover of Tracy Chapman or similar but i only play drums and not that often now either i am starting to write melodies in my piano roll within my DAW, the singing is just fun really but i still wanna try. im glad you think as i do, jump in the deep and change everything, i try to make music fun too, the world is so full of negatives, only we can change it. but taking a classic like this destroying everything and bringing my own lyrics with a swing beat, but delivering it as is the original was great fun, the positive comments give me real encouragement :))

I agree Paul, if you are gonna do something that is challenging, then go big. I'm working on a cover that could take months to get it right, if i even finish it at all.

I'm not familiar with the original so all I can do is take your version for face value. I like it, you have come a long way with your vocals, hope it's been fun! Cool rnb song, easy on the ears. Can't say more than keep up the good work man and keep learning what your vocals can do!

    Cheers!

thanks endless, your time and listen are appreciated. im glad you thought it was smooth, i used a stock plugin (grossbeat) to pep the drums up, and my vocal is improving timing wise, more controlled breathing and better use of fx, it was fun. thanks for the comment

:)) nice Ian, tbf i liked yours with Nick. i thought what the hell, it'll be a laugh more than anything, some of the lyrics were fun, but i still wanted to be me and change everything up but i was more concerned about the timing getting it to sit, i think i got it ok considering i re-wrote most of it, my vox is what it is. but the better i get with EQ and FX the more i can mask the errors, it is smooth though, and were else could i get away with this :))
