Oh my god ... just perfect! Please don't say you've also played the guitar, because then I'd go back to waiting tables ...;o) And no, to me it's not lengthy ... it could go on for hours. I can honestly say that it's been a great pleasure listening to this uplifting tune!

Micky, thank you for taking a listen and for your kind comments. The guitars, courtesy of Loopcloud I auditioned, selected, tuned, added the amplifier IR for flavor, and set their timing to the track. I'm elated this is a good composition for you. Stay safe and stay tuned.

Nice funk-jazz fusion. Love the Rhodes piano Chord choices. This tune is always moving and changing which keeps you interested throughout. The high hats sound amazing. really great percussion placements in the mix. the interplay of the trumpet, rhodes, high hats, and the snare is exceptionally placed in the mix. Hell of a flanged guitar solo, restrained and tasteful. 4:06 is a fav point for me, nice segue. Then the rolling piano. It's almost as if the song gets kinda dark at this point. 5:12 is a great crash. Great job on this one.

crucethus, your in-depth comment is very valuable. The movement was necessary for this piece. The hat's worked like a metronome so to speak. The hats are 14" Zildjian K Constantinople. The kit is Ayotte Classic with wooden hoops that gave that snare the right sound for the side stick. This was a joy for me to compose and I'm glad you enjoyed this. Peace.

So.. Rick Beato has been using the term "art music" To replace the term "progressive." I think it fits nicely in cases like this, where there isn't much cliché, and the harmonic choices are much more sophisticated.

I liked this one when you first sent it to me. Keep em' coming.

bringer, from our previous discussions about being genre-specific, I'm noticing a musical evolution taking place as we speak which historically has always been the case. "Art music" is a good start for a definition of what's happening here. The journey continues. Thanks as always for checking in and your highly respected opinion.

The guitar entry part at 0:50 got me a stank face and i can´t get ride of .now i´m wooble boobin to sax. this is some serious jazz funk and expressiv. I can discover every 10 second another dimension and i love how much you care about different guitar tones and their are always on point. love your work, i want more.

BONEZONMARZ, welcome back. When I'm writing and composing a new tune, there's a certain character and tonal quality I'm going after. That's where the real work comes in. Those guitars must sound just like that or the balance of the tune sounds off. Thanks for listening and your kind remarks.

Oh yes, You are a very talented man, heck of a composition and quite a clean mix, fantastic! Not to mention the slick bass and guitar playing, well all the instruments are performed great and there is no shortage of them.

Cool as the other side of the pillow!

Description : This song highlights a few different styles of jazz. First it starts with a kinda early 20s and 30s groove. Than it melds into a New Orleans style. Than into a sort of Maynard Ferguson big band jazz/rock groove, and finishing off with the 20s and 30s style again, all held together with some cool horns and bass. All n all, it's...Pretty Cool! Hope you like

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Music by Antonio Carlos Jobim. This particular piano arrangement is from one of jazz sheet piano books I found on scribd. The electric piano is MrRay22 plugin which I played on Casio CDP220 digital piano. This is also a new piece that I learned today so it was quite tricky to get a proper touch at places and overall make the entire thing sound anywhere realistic. I tried many times and this was probably the best take. Also I am relatively new to playing latin piano music. I didn't manipulate any notes after recording - instead I added few virtual vintage amps. I choose jazz but it is a bossa nova latin style. Enjoy and feel free to comment and download.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...
