I was in Portland up until just under a year ago. Now we're sitting in Nebraska. So, you are definitely north! I can't say that I've ever had a Montreal Smoked Sandwich, but after looking it up, it's going on the list of gotta-do's. It looks like it would pair well with an Irish Lager.

Fun Fact, Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings Nebraska.
Also, I hear Colby´s Popcorn is supposed to be really good.
the MTL smoked meat sandwich reminds me of NY Pastrami. But I had it at Schwartz's in Montreal, and it's simple, light rye with french's mustard. The spices used on the meat are amazing and it sort of melts in your mouth. Served with fries and a cold light lager. It´s a treat indeed.

That is a trippy journey of a sound. I like your guitar work, the tone is dense and hooked me. The fx are spot on i like how you created open spaces and let the ear rest and dream in part 1 but descent into a black hole with this modulated synth. I feel like Major Tom with a Schnitzel in my backpack. Very good sounddesign and production.

Thanks, I like to make sure the mix is very open to instrumental placement. Of course, this is all over the place genre-wise, but these are good exercises to keep my composing chops in line ehh?

    Wow, what a journey!

Steven, regarding the title this could well be a modern reply to Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. And there's a guitar that reminds of Dave ... you're a fan, aren't you? I definetely am. Very well executed work of art!

Lost: no, Experimenting for a future epic tune: yes Marco is my fav as well, genius but a passive-aggressive competitive narcissistic psycho. I do agree using Knoor cubes as a seasoning does work. Gordon taught me how to scramble eggs. He is intense but he does pull it back into those who excel for him. There is good and bad, but it is interesting. Fun Fact only 22% of Kitchen Nightmare restos still exist. Ciao Mate

"A thin slice of music lightly fried over a bed of Floyd and a drizzling of EDM and a side order of 90ś techno."

You forgot to add "Served on a White Rabbit tray"

The build up and ending on the peak of the crescendo was very White Rabbit. Completely different energy, but same steady build. I loved it.

It's like an audio collage, almost. You just keep adding seemingly unconnected pieces until there's a giant collection of sounds that make the whole become clear at the end.

"...most of my work (not all) usually is darker and evades hope in the totality of the work,..."

Well, duh. I've been saying that about your work for years. One of the things that first attracted me to it almost 10 years ago, brother!

I will say though, your production quality over the years has improved greatly. It's much more clear and evenly balanced now.

You said something about Goulash in another comment. I think that's going to be what's for dinner tonight. I haven't had that in years!

Take care up there, my friend!

Ahh I love me some Jefferson Airplane. Back in the nineties, I saw Jefferson Starship on Long Island (not the awful corporate Starship) and I used to see Hot Tuna In NYC when I could with my friends. Yes You did indeed point out the darkness in my work very early on and I will always give u The credit of discovery. And yeah I think I joined this site in 2012 so we have known each other a long time brother. A friendship well received and well appreciated. What I appreciate the most is your tactful raw honesty. And thanks for noticing the increase in my production quality.I have been working on that for the last 5 years. Tonight it was Montreal Smoked meat sandwiches. BTW if u Still live in Portland, you would be slightly more north than me ehh?

It gets bigger and harder as time goes on. That could describe another thing, but I will not say. This song is like multi-treat wrapped up in one awesome package. But this isn't your run-of-the-mill techno. It is definitely a hybrid of some very deep understanding of Electronic music. Well done man!

¨It gets bigger and harder as time goes on" hmmm Mr. Axel, might you be referring to ......Fame! ;-)
Thanks for the nice words. It is sort of a collage of ideas and it's not your Fathers (Detroit) techno. Its sort of IDM as Aphex Twin showed us the way.

You managed to pack a trope or two in there. After prepping for the Blade fight I couldn't help but sing the Bloodhound Gang at the end.

    Trippy, and unconventional. Nice work.

Bloodhound gang, ironically up here in Canada they play their discovery channel song all the freakin time on the wireless, so maybe that DNA got into my head and into this tune subconsciously. I do engage in tropes so there it is then, lol. thanks for stopping by mate!

Paz y salud.

Hey Steven - there's a hint of walk on the wild side about 40 something seconds in - love it - and then it goes some other time code and back and then off again - Im less keen on the techno sounding parts than some of the others but it's great cooking and great blending - ending on an almost cure (or maybe stone roses) like note I reckon. Great Stuff

Jeez!...you know Steven, you cook up a most wonderful & delicious feast for the ears all the time. As always I'm floored by your work. This track has everything appealing to the senses. Thank U Eyes of the Angels. This track has a double meaning musically, hence the Schitznel theme (Thin slice of meat reference, eventually fried). It's really about the Mysoginistic exploitation in the industry of pop music and the churn and burn approach to songs and talent. Seitan makes the best vegetarian schnitzel. Though I know in the UK U guys use Quorn. When I am in the mood for great Vege food, I used to go to https://www.chuchaimontmontreal.ca/ in Montreal. My inlaws turned me on to this place and man it does not disappoint. So if U ever come over the pond to NA apres le covid, I highly recommend this place. Ciao

I like how the intro started out. It was a bit mysterious sounding with a ounce of hope. This one sounds like a bunch of genres into one. I wouldn't classify it as any one genre. The guitar part that came in at 2:40 was shocking to me. I almost felt like I was listening to a 1990's rock song intro on that part. All in all, well done! You're music is always a ride to listen to. And I especially love how quickly you put these out, almost envious of it. It takes me a long time to just get one track out.

    Well done, my friend!

Thanks, Mate. most of my work (not all) usually is darker and evades hope in the totality of the work, or if it does seem hopeful it has a slight twinge of melancholy to it. Im not a dark person in life, just the music always ends up that way for me. A lot of that comes from chord preferences and the structure and arrangement of the instruments. 2:40 is actually an old Bass loop from the nineties (spot-on) that I processed with a blue cat Phaser. I do like to work quickly which offers up spontaneity, but can also create disasters if I don´t go down the right path in the beginning, so I work on structure first, then add in the sounds to fill out the transitions later..I have a pretty good Idea what VSTs I will use in the mastering. So there it is Bob´s your Uncle!. Cheers

Borrowing ideas from late 2000s and early 2010s Bollywood music, CHVERCHES and Poseidon's Nightfly and several other sources including 80's Hi Energy. Music can be considered Happy Progressive House but can also fall into other categories (I'm putting it in as techno, not quite sure where it will fit in). Has that semi-modern discotheque feel but is light to medium in intensity. Built with freedom and happiness with a hint of loneliness using Garageband V10. Automatic Drummers used.
