BaoBou this is my favourite track of your catalogue. This has a really tight feel and great progression. Has that eerie 'hotel california' chord thing but not in a bad way! Actually think it has more of a Santana-esque vibe going on. All sounds super atmospheric. Love the way it builds and drops and builds again.

Thanks a lot buddy! I hope the next one will be even better :)
I evolved a lot the past 2 years and learned a lot about recording and mixing as well as playing - also thanks to Looperman and the great community here!

I like the track, starts off nice and easy and builds nicely. Cool guitar phrases and well played too!

Don't worry about that little prick posing as a log fallen out of trump's ass, he will be gone from this site soon for being a bigot and total asswipe. These are the losers that occupy my country who are spreading covid as a right of passage and soon will get a wake up call when power changes hands. Just ignore him, avoid listening to his tracks and commenting.

    Take care, be safe!

If you feel I have offended you, then I deeply apologies. It has never been my intent. Just to be clear, You're Japanese or something you shouldn't have got offended in the first place. No hard feelings from my side my friend!

    Reply by BaoBou

Hey buddy, I'm not Japanese, and (although I live there) I'm not from Hong Kong either.

Travelling around the world (including the US) and living in several different continents has made me very aware of the value of diversity, and the dangers of extremism and nationalism. I've been a minority myself for most of my life and that gives me maybe a different perspective.

You mention in one track that you are aware of the bad moral choices your colonial ancestors made, and that's commendable. Your founding fathers had slaves and killed Indians and thought nothing of that - heck, less than a century ago (I'm half that old myself) both Indians and Blacks were still hardly seen as human, and that hasn't always changed unfortunately.

I hope that listening and working with Looperman artists can give you more perspective. If not, that's also fine - at least just understand that Looperman is a global community, and act accordingly. Good luck.

it smells like a musician "full nose" ... what can you say? maybe the quality of your mix? I like powerful drums, but that's my idea!
great job bro as usual !!

    Reply by BaoBou

No cocaine was sniffed in the making of this song (or in my life, in fact), but I do have a bit of a sinus problem. My apologies if I woke you up with my snoring ;)
Let's see what I can do with the drums and thanks for helping, as always!

If anyone might have a right to be self-righteeos, it would be you, considering where you live mate. That being said, the chord structure reminds me of something I can quite put my finger on. It will come to me Anyway, guitar tonight had a Santana like feel on it.. ohh now i got it. Its the chord structure of Hotel Califonia snuck in there. Really good jam my friend. I liked this one.

    Reply by BaoBou

Huh - that might indeed be it, especially if both you and Angelus say so. I'll try and sing some chords of HotelC to it, see if that works :D

I got you. Both your comment and this post were positive and you were respectful. Didn't mean any disrespect to you or the track I just wanted to try to make sure any of the arguments or comment or what ever didn't spill over and turn into a bigger thing.
Anyway like I said before I like the track. I'll have to listen to some more of your stuff.

    Reply by BaoBou

No worries mate, no offense taken and I think you were right anyway. I tend to get carried away and get a bit self-righteous, and you were just in time :)

I don't like that one dude posting politics on this site either but doing this to spite him doesn't solve the problem it just instigates more.

    Reply by BaoBou

It wasn't intended to be spiteful, I meant it as a positive band uplifting vibe.
Having said that, I accept your criticism and will update the description. Thanks man.

Description : I'm very glad to upload yet another collab work with maestro Tumbleweed! This one is quite special cause it embraces Ed's wonderful idea of bringing together some unusual instruments from various parts of the world to find out how well they can work together and also to what degree of harmony they can mix with more standard instruments like sax or piano for example....and so here are presented the Chinese Ghuzeng, Harmonium, Zither, Frame drum, Jingle stick and Wooden whistle among you see the title "No Borders" is truly appropriate. I hope you will find it interesting!:) As always all my thanks go to my dear friend Ed, without whom this exciting journey would never happen !

Description : A fat groove journey incorporating hip hop, jazz, rock and more. Chilled out and rocking, with some big riffs and basslines. The main instruments are saxophone, piano and cello plus some resonator guitar and banjo. Sax is the only instrument not played by me as the parts here were contributed a few years ago by a guy I know. Anything that sounds like distorted guitar is actually distorted cello. Loads of that, including solos, in the second half. No electric guitar or bass guitar. Not much synth work but there are two synth basses and an organ. Otherwise, it's quite an acoustic "played instruments" kind of sound. Lots of drums, including loops, multiple programmed acoustic kits and drum hits. I know Radiohead have an excellent song called Everything In Its Right Place but I still like my title and there's a story behind it (nothing to do with music). Interesting feedback appreciated. Do you have any favourite or least favourite sections? Details are appreciated...
