Description : "WORLD FUTURISM," a unique blend of global dance
and timeless sounds drawing from nature, traditional music, field recordings,
and the electronic savvy of modern centers like Chicago and London
Description : The tangled skein of life permeates all creation, binding the known to the unknown. This track, in its own subtle way, attempts to convey that.
Description : Just like the first EP "OGOU", this production focuses on organic elements with drum samples. It contains modern sounds such electronic down-tempo, future bass, and hip-hop, which makes the music sound old and new at the same time. With heavy sampling of African chants and sound generated from other tribes, this is production will bring more flavor and enjoyment--it's like Africa to your Ears.
Description : After a major uphill battle completing this song and turning it into what it is now, I feel some amount of satisfaction. It was like reality wanted me to give up or something. It's done... phew... Have updated this almost completely, from repatching the modular bass, playing some guitar parts, adding electric piano and synth lead, redoing and tuning the DW-6000 synth, of course adding my vocals, and mixing and mastering. It really has become pretty new wave, like much of my stuff does recently. Have added the lyrics as well. I am proud and happy with it, and I hope you all enjoy listening! UPDATE... woohoo just broke 1000 plays on this track here at looperman!

Hey finally here with a new track! I'm not sure what to call this other than electronic, due to the high tempo. This is the first song finished using my interface which allows direct MIDI control of my modular synthesizer. The mid frequency bass part is all from that patch. There are tracks designed with my Zoom RT-123 drum machine, the microkorg, and the circuit bent KORG DW-6000. Other than that it is just a kick and snare drum sample, and a a quick vocal snippet. So I guess it's fairly minimal in that respect. Would like to hear the Looperman community's thoughts on this song! Thank you for listening

Description : The answer to Close Encounters is Hymn Of The Pleiades. This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. Track was recorded, mixed and mastered using Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 software. Results were achieved by using a FATA Studio 90 MIDI keyboard ran through a E-MU Proteus 2000 sound module, - for the phat funky bass synth. I also used a KORG O5R/W sound module for the retro lead synth parts and ambient sound pads.
I utilized what was essentially a old school Hip Hop drum track, arranged and beefed it up for that extra umh! I greatly appreciate all the positive feedback the track has garnered thus far. Keep listening and by all means, your comments are much welcomed... thanks.
Description : A bit of pop, of disco, of punky guitar and electronic well i stop here because i don't know what really type of music is this any idea ?

fiendish and situational — this is like game theory only f^n visceral.
Good morning my friend, how are you? I hope you will soon receive the package containing the CD I sent you. This new song of yours is as usual a splendid mix of styles and moods capable of mixing very different sounds in a whole that sounds very compact and enjoyable and at the same time crisp and clean.

Good song. And I have to thank ValveDriver for having asked the right questions: reading your answer to him and the explanation of what you meant... everything made sense.
THANKS!
Enjoyed.

superb
That break in the middle is perfect. I'm so glad you extended it. The build into the solo at the end is awesome. You made a great track greater.
Hey Cru, I thought I'd drop in and join the party. I must say, you are one of the few on here that seek to explore new territories. It takes music knowledge, talent, and most important, the heart to create a masterpiece like this. What an excellent blend of many styles all wrapped up in one. Thank you for sharing your work with us. 10/10

I don't know Steven,
But this has to be my favorite from u to what ive heard at this point. Good stuff
Cru, what's happnin' brother?
This is a good song. With all of the mixed genres you have here, it almost comes out as a darkwave/industrial hybrid. It's almost like Skinny Puppy doing a Sisters Of Mercy cover sans Andrew Eldritch on vox.
I'm really digging the drums in this. Specifically the snare. I'm not sure why, though. I think because with as many directions as this takes all at once, the snare is like the anchor. It's the one constant that holds you safe in the storm. A focal point, if you will. Don't get me wrong, though. It's a beautiful storm.
I like the way this breaks free from standard formula. It's really just a progression towards crescendo. Very "White Rabbit" in that sense. But with the darker elements, maybe "Black Rabbit"?
But, what is it building to? What comes next? After the sudden stop, where does it go after that? And I'm not necessarily talking about the song as much as what drove it into existence. Or, maybe a little of both. Is this the escape, or is it just the rampway toward the door?
One thing I admire about your work, Steve, is that you do what you want, and you are unapologetic about it, and in doing so, you come up with some brilliant pieces. Don't ever stop, brother.
Take care, mister.
Aaron

Very cool blend of genres. I enjoy the subtle progression with the industrial undertones throughout. You teased an awesome solo at the end. You could add 10 more minutes to this track and I wouldn't complain. Great track.
