This only solidifies that we need to put something together. The glitchy metal has got me inspired for sure. I'd agree with the others on the repetition, but that can always be remedied. I totally understand working on something for so long, you're just like fuck, I want to work on something different. Great job on this, dude.

Thanks, though I don't work on much for long, this song took and afternoon from beginning to end. I would like to collaborate, just message me and we will share a folder or something, and thanks for the props.

BOD, this is definitely cool stuff. A little repetitive by the end but you do a good job of mixing the various elements and moving things around so that its not so bad of an issue. I think adding guitar would be great to counteract some of that and I think its needed if you want it to qualify as Heavy Metal, but its going to have to be something unique to do this justice. Something with some really wacked out phrasing and effects or maybe do some slicing to create a computer simulated lead with some heavy glitch effect. I did some experimenting a couple of years ago in an attempt to mix electronic music and Heavy Metal. I made a few tracks and I think I may have posted one here on Loooperman. I know I dont have it in my current track list. You got me a little inspired with this I might try to dig one out and revisit.

One last question did you intentionally change the speed a few times in here or is there some strange anomaly happening? Toggle between :15 and 5:15 to see what I mean.

I really like this man. Your very creative and obviously have a wide range of interests when it comes to music. Keep it up, I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing. I'm still interested in maybe working on something together but I'm so bogged down at work right now. They are giving me 1 day off every eleven days and I'm working 12-14 hours a day. Work-eat-sleep, that's all I have time for at the moment. A few more weeks and I think I things will be back to normal.

    Later bro.

It's cool, no hurry, I figured live happens so I left you alone.

The timing is by choice. I don't like longer songs all at the same tempo (or key). I've experimented with changes in tempo, as well as accelerating and decelerating tempos on a few of my tracks, similar to the construction of technical death metal. It seems free-form but it is not, more like a Bob Ross painting.

Check these out while ur at it:

I'm starting to develop a style, I would love to hear your thoughts on suggested guitar work eventually. Collaborating on something of this nature will probably come out great. Glad to hear from you, ttyl.

This was certainly different in a good way. I agree with the others, guitar would be cool. This screams for a metal singer for sure imo. Very enjoyable. Keep at it :)

Thanks for the listen, I was thinking just straight up death metal singing, or some kind of trap/death metal vocal mashup, that is how it sounds in my head anyway.

Its a nice track and a guitar is very much needed or any melodic instrument but the bass sound a bit muddy but still powerful. I also believe starting with the heavy square bass isn't ideal as it would overwhelm most listeners. So a gradual build is needed in the intro. Otherwise nice track!

    Reply by bringerofDOOM

I agree on the muddiness. I used about 20 loops after searching "metal drums" so the mixing has been a challenge. As far as overwhelming, I want it to be. When I add guitar it will be like an airplane landing on your forehead.

Thanks for the listen and the honest feedback, these are things I need to hear.

Yeah you have to add a guitar to this.
I like the square wave bass and the trap drums mixed with blast beats.
    Keep on this oen mate!

    Reply by bringerofDOOM

I think I will, it will probably be some melodic black metal atmospheric stuff.

Thanks for the listen and feedback.

Description : A collab with nicetones101. Dark , gritty and with questionable intent. crunchy riff driven guitars and atmospheric vocals weave together a solemn track.Hopefully we invoke some sort of emotion! \m/

Description : A collab with nicetones101 ! This has been awhile in the making, real life caught up with me and i had to take a little musical break. I looked over my past comments i received and i tried to put all the constructive criticism to work ! I turned the vocals up a bit , I also cut down on the effects and left a clean vocal track. I did want the chaos and the noise to still be a player in certain parts though. I tried to create two distinct atmospheres, an uneasy calm and a manic episode. I prefer headphones with this track as there is a lot going on at certain times.

Description : A collab with fellow Looperman, "dssdsdsd". He posted a pretty wicked guitar instrumental a while back of this song from KoRns Untouchables LP with a request for someone to mix it. I decided to give it a shot to complete the song. Wanted to stay true to the original as possible but didn't want a carbon copy so I tried a few ideas of my own. Added a bit of my own guitar, drums, keyboards, a lot of effects and even stepped up to the mic for a try at the vocals.

Description : Psychedelic chillout stoner/doom epic. Badass heavy riffage and drumming plus big chillout vibes. Heavy electric guitar plus slow attack lead parts. Other beauty and ambience from filter swept violins, two synth pads and some subtle female vocal samples. Also bass guitar and sub bass. Two programmed, heavy drum kits and one lighter one, to fatten up the sound.

Tags : | Heavy Metal | 9.94 MB

Description : One of my greatest heavy tracks. What I find unusual is the amount of melodic and deep ambient guitar that sits on top of low, distorted riffs and fat, heavy drums. Very little synth work here apart from the sub bass, which plays almost throughout. Bass guitar in two sections and a couple of slide resonator guitar solos. Drums are a few programmed metal/rock kits, no drum loops. What I still have trouble believing and understanding is that all of the many vocal sounds in this are actually timestretched guitar parts (8x or 800% slower). I don't know why the timestretching adds such a clear vocal component to the sound. Gets darker and more intense in the middle (and towards the end) but this is otherwise quite melodic - perhaps in a way that might put off some metallers. Shitloads of guitar playing, some fairly badass, and lots of heavy, crashing drums so press play if you want to rock hard but also in a deep ambient, psychedelic way. Interesting thoughts and reflections are, as always, greatly appreciated. Detailed comments preferred...

Description : Living in the Pacific Northwest, USA, I am surrounded by countless acres of forests and mountains. Having experienced them, I know that with as beautiful and serene as they can be, so too, they can be cold, deadly and unforgiving. That's what this song is about. The wide spectrum of emotions one can feel when alone in the forest. Whether you want to be or not. Let me know what you think. --- Take care. V.

Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
