Description : Had a synth and piano melody wake me up yet once again so got up and created this in about 1hr the other day...

VST's used; TAL Bassline/NeoPiano(concertpiano-lifted high end freqs for better clarity/slyenth1/harmor and used Valhalla Shimmer effect and Polyverses Gatekeeper/Comet/Wider for extra dynamics
Have a slight latency issue between Daw and JD-XI otherwise wouldve done most of this on the synth.

    Hey man, how's it goin?

I'm diggin' this. To me, and I totally mean this as a compliment, it sounds like Ray Lynch spent some time in the Caribbean. It's funny, Crucethus could hear Terri Nunn, I can hear Debbie Harry. Overall, it's a great track. Easy to just chill to. Nice work!

    Take care.

There is no surprise in here mate
You are a super talented musician.
I am in love with the intro mate it is absolutely fabulous.
Hey, I am glad you've made good use of Piano one mate.
    Really well done my friend.
    Great track.

    Thanks Maj,

Means alot coming from you whose also been longstanding on LM so like me have heard alot of everything over the years.

Thought i'd slow down and create some more chilled songs but work finely on the sound as a level and blend art that im trying to master and im slowly writing down what sound and what instrument works hand in glove as this is important to me now that im going back onto real synths and moving away from vst's and bringing back my natural piano/key creations.

All the best Maj and thankyou,

the sounds are flawless to my ears, but what’s really on point is the invention and musicality of this track — that don’t come with a vst.

    Reply by DJSLTUK

Thanks for the kind words xstokes and would have to agree with you that its the person/s behind the arrangement and process that makes a song appealing to listeners or not and can be a hit and miss.

Thanks for checking out this much slower paced song from me and will return the ears on your music shortly.

    Kindest Regards,

The development into 1:37 is great. I enjoy the layers. Hard to believe it was only made in an hour. Awesome track.

    Reply by DJSLTUK

Hi Heath i generally always know exactly what im going to create from the first melody or riff that pops in my nugget brain so the production side for me with the FL daw that ive been using since FL came out is a rapid fast process and the only time it takes is tweaking levels adding effects and fine placement in the progress of slower songs.

Total production time on this was actually 53 minutes:)

Some would say imagine what you could do with it if you spent more time on it... however the music tells me when ive done enough with a song and to not over layer which can result in frequency drops/loss.

Thanks for listening Heath and all the best,

    Regards & Be Safe,

Beautiful synthetic percussion in the intro. The synth loops create a carpet enriched by the syncopated bass. The choice of sounds is particularly successful and the whole sounds elegant and pleasant. In some passages I find suggestions from the Japanese composer Kitaro. Best wishes

    Hi Stereo,

Yep its one of those electronica/ambient pieces that allows each sound to grow on the listener slightly whilst adding more salads of sounds into the mixing bowl as it goes along.
Wanted it to be catchy but not commercial in its presence.

    Cheers champ,

Yes, I love this. Love the build up introducing instruments. 1:37 is sweet. The arrangement is tasteful, the instrument and percussion choices are sublime. I like subtle uses of pianos like this. I could hear Terri Nunn from Berlin singing over this one, beautiful work Mate. I enjoyed that this evening.

Thanks for listening Steven much appreciated..

Sometimes i just let whatever falls into place in a song happen then i give it a little dusting and volume part testing then done....as for singer for this i do have a 14yr old female singer who sounds like shes 27 in her voice...shes a little secret that will be working with me on her next school holidays so im sure we can create some magical sounds soon.

    All the best!

Whew! Love that big wide sound. Did not notice any latency. Very nice polished sound. You certainly worked those VST quite well. Great choir insert. All in All a very topnotch amazing job. Sounds incredible!

    Reply by DJSLTUK

Never leave home without vsts and always come home with a vst lol

Yep melodies are melodies without some dynamic enhancement or wider panning then electronic sounds can be to sharp and too flat so theres a balance to doing just enough which i think i got close to right in this considering this isnt even mixed down yet for mastering.

    Cheers Joe

Description : This is for my friend Danke who can't sleep at night. Yes, heat, heat...I guess Africa is hotter, but don't let the title and intro as well, deceive you! Description : Dear Loopers...Let Ed and me take you to the world of yet another musical fantasy born out of our latest collab efforts. Ed provided basic structure of the track with ever solid rhythm section, tasty synths and vocal pads while I took
on a role of pretending to be multi-instrumentalist again by smuggling in some sweet strings, bulgarian flute, celtic harp,
unexpectedly blurry piano and this time a tiny bit of real live acoustic guitar...what an adventure for a vst/keyboard guy..:) As always
my sincere thanks to Ed not only for letting me enjoy his great musical company but also for still standing as one of the firm pillars of Looperman society !

Description : I went to the beach and set up my stereo recording mic under a gazebo near it (I apologize for some of the air gusts being recorded haha; we had a strong SE wind that day :P Tried my best to place it out of the wind); wanted to record myself playing live and do some cheesy roleplay in the process - wanted to make it feel like the listener was sitting there beside me. ** This is what the beach looks like: http://static.travel.usnews.com/images/destinations/80/south_padre_island_main.jpg **

Lo and behold, I'm about halfway through the song when my buddy Mark, a friend from college, heard me singing and decided to join me (he seems to never part with his guitar lol).

The expression on his face was that of confusion as to why I had my mic with me and a audio-capturing device, which I plugged into an outdoor electrical plug that the gazebo owners installed lol (I've done recordings like this before but didn't like the results; we messed up a little at the end but I was like meh it's not bad anyways.) but I'm glad he didn't say it out loud or it would have ruined the recording lol. Luckily, I was playing a song he and I wrote together some time ago, so he was able to just jump right in. He's a great guitar player.

Even though it was a little awkward at the end since we hadn't seen each other for like 4 months (you might be able to tell by the way I responded to his "thats so cool" comment haha), I think it turned out just fine. It was a lovely evening and the clouds were all poofy and happy. Lots of people were there too, though I made sure to sit far away from all of them. Ahh, it was a beautiful day. I'm glad I live by the ocean :P * Just kidding, I recorded this in my studio; though I do live close to the water, this was not recorded there :P I did everything, down to the wind blowing into the mic, except for the sound of water and the kids in the background. I got those sounds here: freesfx.co.uk/login/

The guitars and vocals were one-takes to give a more realistic feel. No pitch-correction or autotune. Just wanted to try making another soundscape (or whatever you want to call this :P) about what it's like to live by the ocean.

Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...
