Joe, first let me say I am so sorry for your loss and I apologize for being late to acknowledge it. This piece truly does speak to the heart, as does all of your music. The thing I always appreciate about you is how you are true to who you are with everything you write. This is another exceptional song, but I expect nothing less from you. Beautifully performed, Joe. I'm sure your brother would be proud. Again, my condolences in this very difficult time for you and your family. Take care and hang in there, it does get better.

My sympathies my brother. A loss as great as a sibling is very difficult to process sometimes. But you have channeled your grief in a way that honors his life and can also bring you some solace. Peace be with your family. This tune just reflects for me, pardon me if I don´t find the exact words. This is a raw stripped down honest nakedly gritty sound that I have been waiting to hear from you for almost 8 years. It´s melancholy and yet has a sense of survival. I love this tune from you. I can feel your soul reaching out into the void but not in a desperate way, but with a purpose and a stoicism. You used your talent not in a contrived way or a way to please the masses, but in an original expressive way that dignifies your talent and courage and love you had for your family and ultimately your brother. I am speechless.

Hi Joe, I'm really glad you're back and listening to your music that speaks directly to the heart. It's my way to be close to you in this hard time. Sometimes life seems unfair and terrible when we lose a loved one and everyday things seem unimportant to us. I hope you feel my friendship and that this is somehow comforting to you.

Marco! Il mio buon amico! Thanks! Music is one constant all people can get behind. Although there are so many different styles, like ice cream, you just pick your flavor, but in this case you just pick your genre. I do not rely solely on music. You got to have family and friends, and for me God comes before all people and things. All in all I was so happy I could personalize my memory towards my brother. Hey, thanks for the comments Marco.

Che Dio benedica te e la tua famiglia!

Hey Joe....so sorry for your loss mate, I know only too well what it feels like. Great tune with a very deep soulful feeling and groove, all we can do is carry on and be respectful towards the memory of the dearly departed, they live on through us, your brother no doubt would love this....cheers Dave

Thanks Dave. This was a rough year, I won my battle with Cancer because they got it super early. My brother subscribed to philosophy of: My Health, I will worry about it when something happens. Some men in general avoid doctors in their later years, but thats when they need a doctor the most. Well, he lost his battle with Cancer. I am going to miss him a lot.

I actually started this song before he died and had a rough draft but I finished it after the funeral. Dave I am the youngest of the old people in my family and I am nearing retirement age. So I am just bracing for many more funerals. That's life, we got to go some time. If I go quiet in the upcoming months you will now know why. I am super chill now. Thanks for the kind heartfelt words and the review. Joe

First sorry for your loss. I come from a large family and I can say, I've been to too many funerals. All energy lives forever; so someday you'll share the cosmos with him and all whom you've Loved. This piece was awesome. Had a
cool vibe. Keep em' comin' JoeFunktastic Peace DDC

DDC, sorry to here about you losses. I guess I am where you were before all your losses began. This is my first loss man from my own life's perspective. I have been spared tragedy and death most of my life but now I am bracing for impact because just like you, I need to be ready for "too many funerals" in a very small window of time.

This might be my last one for a long while. I started this one before he died and forced myself to finish it after he died. That was a struggle but I kept focus on him. I appreciate your support. Trust me, I enjoyed being that counterweight to all of those Juice WRLD and Little Baby songs. Seems like there are more of those guys here than us traditional music folks.

Thanks for the review, but don't look for anything new from me anytime too soon. thanks for the review. Joe

agreed with Heath...absolute fantastic piece of sadness here...maaan, it's like when you say goodbye to someone who's been with you...LIKE A SOLDERING...FREE MUSIC FOR THE SOULS...amazing...I feel compassion for you ... more and more losses and not only because we are getting older ... we live in a polluted world ...I'm really sorry for our kids ...

    handshake, Danke

Thanks Danke! I have seen and heard you pull out some amazing ones as well. That is why I am such a Fan Of your music. Well, at this point, all we got is memories of our loved ones. I am so happy I could remember him in this way. This really the only artform that I am okay with.

You and I Danke come from a time when music meant something. It was never called a beat, thats silly. Musicians would play their instruments and singers would sing without the aid of vocal enhancers. Now people are making beats on their smartphones. Sometimes talking about the past how music was done makes me feel old. But in actuality it really was not that long ago. Some of the bands back then had 30+ people in it. Now it is one guy and a bucket load of samples with his sampler.

A while back I saw the need to just be me and not sell out to the popular culture and thank goodness I have not sold out. All the young people here want to be Juice WRLD and what has that guy done anyway? For me, no regrets, just great feeling music is all I ever wanted to do. This could be my last one for a while, I had to force myself to complete this one. All the same, thanks for the review. Joe

Amazing track. The drums and bass are incredibly solid. The super reverby lead is a perfect fit. The flute is a nice touch as well. It reminds me of 60s/70s psychedelic rock but with more groove. This doesn't need vocals. It speaks for itself.

Thanks! When you have a goal to shoot for it sometimes brings out the best in a person. The pain never goes away. But I can look back in time and feel good that I spoke highly of him at the funeral and made a song in his honor and families that are in grief over their loved ones. Thanks for the review.
