Description : A little something I put together for Halloween. It is mostly comprised of fx (chains, footsteps, creaking doors, screams) along with drones from Samplitude's Cinematic Soundscapes vst. Vox are a free spoken word poem tweaked a bit. Feel free to use it for any of your video projects, just send me a link and give credit where credit is due.

Listened to it once again. I think it needs some heavy breathing at the steps part!

Good idea, that would be pretty awesome. Thanks for giving it a second go. I hope all is well.

Hey Bear, so good to see you here, you are missed. Hope the sunshine state is doing you right, still nice weather and as a matter of fact I was swimming today, yes! Off to watch my friends Jim and Billy's new swing blues band play at the beach this afternoon, great drummer, sax player..... Other than that things are going as usual here and I hope you are enjoying your new surroundings!

Creepy soundtrack, feels like I'm on a amusement park ride straight through the highway of hell! Nicely mixed too.

    Be good and take care!

Hey Wayne, great to have you stop by for a visit. Kerry and I are having a ball in the sunshine state. We have a pool, so she swims most days to get in some exercise. We love it here. I seem to always find other things to do besides music so that's the only downside :) As always it is great to have you stop by for a listen and to leave a comment. I'll head over to see what you've been up to. I hope all is well.

Hahaha, I sent the track to my grandkids and they were all freaked out on just the vocals. I should have put a Rated MA on it or PG13, hehe. Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by. I'll head over to your neck of the woods to give one of yours a go. I hope all is well.

    Real well mixed and mastered.
    Very deep and dangerous stuff.
better don't walk there and sure better don't open that door ....

Nice one! I enjoyed the listen

Pretty cool! How did you make some of the sounds if you don't mind me asking?

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks Axion. Chains, footsteps, doors creaking, and woman screaming were all samples from Vocals were from a site that offers royalty free vox, then tweaked quite a bit to get them to sound like that. The drones/pads are all created with Samplitude's Cinematic Soundscapes vst (I think it is about $50). As always your kind words are greatly appreciated. I hope all is well.

    Hey there, remember me?

Anyway i do dig this, although it ain't a track from my opinion. But more of a loop or sample to me. And i think this would be better uploaded in the loops & samples section. Or at least i would use it for if i wanted to create a horror themed track. Sure suits the halloween ambiance now doesn't it? :D

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

I do remember you and I'm glad you stopped by. I also agree that this would probably be better uploaded as a set of loops, but with Looperman's rules about no layered loops, it wouldn't be possible. I used several fx samples from and could not post those on their own since they aren't my work. I could post the drones since they are my work, but folks wouldn't get the point of them without the fx stacked on top. So, I was forced to make a giant loop, list it as a song, and then allow people to do what they want with it. There are times when rules suck :) Anyway, I always appreciate your feedback. I hope all is well.

Hey Barry, so nice to have you around again ! I see you prepared yourself very well for the upcoming Haloween. This is great cinematic track with all elements well mixed into a very convincing conglomerate of sounds. Really masterfully done!
I hope you will be around with more projects in the future...:)

    Compliments & best wishes_____Leon

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks Leon, it is so great to hear from you. We are finally settled in our new home, getting used to the new studio setup and getting a little time to ease back into things. I got a zillion projects that need attention, but it seems there is always so little time. Anyway, it was fun to actually create something. Always a pleasure to have you stop by for a listen and to leave feedback. I hope all is well.

danke on Wed 9th Oct 2019 - 1 month ago's a brand new Bear...where are those pop, rock, chill out songs??? maybe you're trying to break into the horror industry?
you have a good chance of it because it is an intoxicatingly awesome, extremely intimate walk with the protagonist to the long awaited death ... :-)
you are Brand New, but top as usual in every kind of genre...

    handshake, Danke

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Hahaha, thanks Danke. I really had fun with this one, my vision being to put something together that told a story without pictures or video. Hopefully I accomplished that. It is good to create something even if it mostly fx. As always your feedback is appreciated. I hope all is well.

Description : HEY, hey guys...IM BACK! and it feels amazing. I took a month or so off to work thru some shit, and in that time i bring you this. Personally my best work so far imo. I may add lyrics to it eventually, but not sure yet. The original has a longer beginning for that reason. Thanks to chanho17 for uploading great piano loops for use. let me know what you think!

Description : First off, I am a huge fan of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit." After watching all of the movies (including the final chapter of the Hobbit", I was motivated to write something that I thought might work with their journey home.

Samplitude has a couple of great new VST's, one called "World Flutes" and the other "Celtic Harp" and I used both of them in this song. I created every last note on this one. Guitars were all Fenders, soft synths besides the Samplitude items mentioned previously were created in the SynthMaster series by KVR, and the strings were created with Samplitude's "String Ensemble."

Not sure about the mix (my hearing is shot), so most of the mixing is done by sight instead of listening. If you hear something way out of whack, let me know. If you are interested in taking this one further, let me know and I'll post a link to the stems. Thanks to the Hobbit for the inspiration and to you for listening.

EDIT: I've had some requests for the individual instrument stems so here is the link to all of those files. The tempo is 80bpm. Feel free to do whatever you want with this one.

EDIT: I've had over 200 downloads of the stems, so if you have done anything with them it would be cool to hear it (thanks for the interest).

Description : Been awhile hasn't it?
2016 has been quite the nasty little cunt, honestly didnt know if i would make it. A Cinematic Spoken Word about how I deal with things, and why i still go on..

Description : it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : I had no particular intention doing this, but then it just came on me out of nowhere....How to make an antithesis Halloween work!? Prior to that there were no plans to make a track for the occasion, furthermore I've never been really interested in such a thing. It always seemed a bit silly to me if not outright childish. But then I remembered the Interview with The Vampire and Bram Stoker's Dracula. My gosh, there was some peculiar romanticism in there and I probably don't have to tell you twice that this must be a bait for Orlando, as is a cup of fresh young blood for a vampire...:) Furthermore I like people who are different, so I just have to like vampires who a different as it should be dawning on you by now that this won't be your standard Halloween tune...haven't I mentioned "antithesis"? growling zombies, midnight cemetery bells, creaking doors or any of your favourite horror sounds, although it's still a little bit darker in tone...hell yeah, vampires are still vampires...haha...but this one is mainly about a vampire desperately in love with a young lady, craving for her as a madman...I won't tell whether she's also a vampire or not, cause you might figure it out listening to the track...^^ Otherwise it was about time for me to come up with a new solo work, since I've been almost exclusively doing collabs in those past few months (which I love ofcourse)...afteral you can always ask Ed...:)^^____Happy Halloween folks!:)

Description : As first, just forget about the genre...I had to put something, didn't I?:) Otherwise this is something like enjoying sunshine, but to make the feeling a bit more complicated is also about not wanting to have it directly in my face...hehe...

Description : No more singing now...haha! So what comes next?
I belong to the nation which has a great passion for alpinism (not myself though)..:) This newly composed and recorded stuff is dedicated to all of those who stayed in the grip of Himalaya forever!...Respect!
