although timbaland stresses th less is more theory,,, i can see where youre comin from. Ghost? hmmmm. substitute satan with racisim,,,yeah,,, im down wit it.

Thanks TC, I picked Ghost because of the creativeness in tackling difficult topics but making nice melodic music that you go, damn thats good. The release of 7 inches of Stanic Panic is pure genius. Timbaland for the static rhythm and minimalism. John Fox for the vocal style, Gary Numan for the cold but alluring sound, NIN for the dark sinister synths, Bowie for Fashion being an allegory for Fascism, and Atari Teenage Riot for the absolute digital punk mayhem that they brought to the table.

YES, this is music in a way i like it!
A nice, powerful, punky wave one. Great.
The vocals make the difference between a track and a song.
Good to hear you making songs :)
Right now it sounds a little like a live recording and that's really ok for me but i bet you will work on that.

Always good to hear someone's voice against the stupidity.
    Excellent work my friend!

Definitely fits in the industrial camp. Good chorus too. If you're not familiar with him you may want to check out Saul Williams. He's done work along this vein.

Saul Williams is awesome, thanks for the tip.

100% the theme song to the next post apocalyptic sci-fi movie coming.

Good song, that's actually saying something.

I'm sick of Pop and Trap BS that doesn't actually take a peek at whats going on in the world right now. I am Angry, and music is my outlet for the rage. Thanks for tuning in.

1The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.” (FDR)
The strategic adversary is fascism... the fascism in us all, in our heads and in our everyday behavior, the fascism that causes us to love power, to desire the very thing that dominates and exploits us. (Michel Foucault)

2Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it. (Hannah Arendt)
A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends.” (Henry Wallace)

3The split in America, rather than simply economic, is between those who embrace reason, who function in the real world of cause and effect, and those who, numbed by isolation and despair, now seek meaning in a mythical world of intuition, a world that is no longer reality-based, a world of magic (Chris Hedges)

Description : Today's six track recording of a live song which I've been practicing for several days. I broke many of my own rules when getting this to the product it is now. Times have been rough around here, with pressure building from all sides. You can feel it in the air, and in all the people. I can only hope that after the US election, some of the pressure releases. All tracks recorded simultaneously - Vocals via my 100 Proof Microphone, Monotribe, Beatstep, two modular synth tracks (one beatstep controlled and one by my four step sequencer), Zoom RT-123, 2xKawa circuit bent drum box, Boss RV-3 reverb/delay.

Description : Hello all, finally got around to polishing this track, which came from a collab with FarM (known on here as honkytonk). He provided me with some drum and bass work, and I came back with a demo that was essentially what you are hearing now. I just fixed the tuning and some pops at transitions. The tuning basically thwarted our collab I think, because without really remembering I played the guitar parts tuned to 432 Hz *** ***
and left all the other instruments at 440 Hz as a result...heh. Sounded much better after fixing that. Anyway it's got some dubstep and industrial most obviously. Yet another song I unconsciously ripped off from Skinny Puppy. Thanks for taking a listen! You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are... Description : This if the final mix for all the instrumentation. And yes we're breaking quite a few conventions here. I like my diminished scales.

Description : My grandmother was from Belarus. She was the lone survivor of her family after the Waffen SS massacred everyone in her village during a retreat from the Red Army. She escaped soviet occupied Belarus & through a series of wranglings by the international red cross, found a family to adopt her in New Jersey in 1947. She was 14 years old then. She was the strongest person I ever knew & I miss her terribly. This song is for her.

Description : I recorded this song several weeks ago, live in studio. It was a very spontaneous reaction to some experiences and interactions only an hour or so before.

I recorded the audio tracks, as well as a video on my old digital camera. The video has been up on youtube for a while:

This was recorded with my 100 Proof microphone, Eat Lead Copper modular synth, Breaking Blue tabletop synth, modified Yamaha DD-20, and Zoom RT-123.

In the last couple of days, I finally got around to mixing the audio I had recorded into a better quality rendition. The stems were used as is, simple being mixed a bit and mastered.

Have fun listening!

Description : Here is a new Spivkurl track for all of you to check out! My thought process interprets this as industrial gothic, but it's open to external interpretation. This song's sounds were almost entirely sampled from equipment which I hand soldered, whether it be synthesizer builds or circuit bending. The lead vocals were recorded with the new microphone which I built in the past few days, and I'm happy with the way it interacts with my voice. In fact the only piece of gear used that I didn't build was the microphone for the hook vocals... and they are meant to be unintelligible, as they were recorded spontaneously with a patch I called a Spivocoder (on my modular synth). Uptempo and aggressive, it's definitely my sort of industrial. Please give me your opinions if you have the time! Thanks!

Description : Updated 6 May 2017 - I took a bit of advice from OViea91 in order to enhance the reverb field of the vocals, and I also worked to tame some harsh high end in order to allow the low frequencies and dynamics to shine through more. I think it is an improvement. Downloads allowed now! 21 April 2017 - Here is my latest song, which begin from two directions at once. The lyrics began as a sort sentence written on a calendar photograph, and the music began as my entry to the FL studio "Sytrus Only" competition. I finished the vocals completely freestyle, using my DIY 100 proof microphone. All of the sound design is still the original entry, and thus uses only the Sytrus plugin on FL studio. The arrangement barely changed from the original instrumental (to accommodate the vocals), but the mixing and mastering was updated slightly (since the competition did not allow any effects at all). Being observant can be a real bitch sometimes when you're out there in the world, though sometimes an idea like this can be the flip side of the coin. The song also started me thinking about the literal difference between "Earth" and "World." One seems specific, and one general... though I think that the generalisation can add to the longevity of the relevance of an idea such as this. Thank you for listening!

Description : The results of one of my most intense recording sessions to date. I don't think I've explored a single key this deeply ever before. (G minor for those of you wondering) I pulled out my old Epiphone Les Paul, which I've rebuilt and customized over the years. Typed the original lyrics for the song on a couple text message drafts in my phone, then expanded upon them. Has some dubstep elements which are obvious, but it's at a higher tempo. So I guess there's some gothic and industrial in there too. Thanks for taking a listen! You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are... Description : This is one sexy track. Bordering NeuroFunk.. I made this heavily sleep deprived and exhausted within a few hours.. Getting to grips with mixing again, how is it on your end? I'm also feeling some tom toms in the intro.. Maybe.. Best enjoyed with headphones :)

Description : Drawing on my favourite bands this demo fuses pulsing electronic beats with raw electric guitar, horror movie sound clips and a bit of my singing!

My next track will feature loops from Looperman so please follow me to hear it first!

Description : Here's a song that I wrote with my friend. I tried to make a gritty and weird song that also included using my voice as a soundscape. Some sounds are simply me blowing into the mic.I put an insane amount of delay on the vocals and pitch shifted them down 2 semitones as well as adding distortion. Enjoy!

Description : The title felt a little weak, hence the change.
It's finished! The mix is far, far better, I've added some extras and brought out some sounds that weren't coming through previously. D'ya think it's gig ready?

Description : A sort of Bonobo-meets-Faithless track with woodwind from MrMosely. I don't really know the genre; but sounds like a mix of industrial and chill out. A simple song (Simpleton!!!) but hopefully it works for you guys... consider it a new years song/birthday song (ya, im 12 now!!)
