    Hello Wayne,

Far from my "french music culture", this kind of track permite me to travel for free :)
Can you enlighten me on an aspect of your description? you wrote "country gospel", i though that by gospel it means there was a religious choir. It seems to have a larger sens, right?

    really good song!

Johnny Cash's gospel music is about trials and tribulations, life and death and the questions one might ask "the lord" in times of trouble or despair. His songs told stories that at some point, you look to the heavens for answers or forgiveness.

It is different from traditional choir gospel music. But in churches now there are rock praise bands and all sorts of takes on what exactly is gospel music.

This is my take on how Johnny would approach the death of a loved one in a story, sung with emotion, passion and despair, while looking for an answer and help.

    Hope that helps.

Here are a few examples of Johnny Cash country/gospel music. They tell personal stories while looking for some kind of spiritual guidance.

Thanks! The Mescaleros/Strummer era vocals with Johnny Cash lyrics and some basic chords and structure and this is what you get.

    Alright sounds good!

    Hey Majid!

Thanks. It's a one day wonder as I like to call them. Sit down, write, record, sing and mix it all in a day. Sometimes when it happens that fast it was meant to be and usually the best things happen.

    Sad though.

I appreciate the comments. Singing isn't my best musical talent but they do the job here. It's about feeling more than anything.

    Thanks!

Let me tell you a little about my desert rose
She just passed then she rose
Up to heaven with the angels
To take good care of my Texas Rose

My Texas Rose
My Texas Rose
I just don’t know
Why’d she go

Now my best friend is gone I don’t know what to do
I’m sorta broken down there is no color blue
That can describe my way I’m feeling
I’m nearly broken down
I really miss my desert rose

My Texas Rose
My Texas Rose
Lord only knows
The pain I suppose

Oh Lord
Please help me through this

Description : Here attached is a new country tune I put together using several loops I bought off a disk set. I call it 'Old Tyme Country' as it is close to being Bluegrass as well. (Bluegrass usually has a Mandoline, Fiddle and a 5-string Banjo, and a rhythm guitar at least).

This instrumental features no guitars or regular drums. Rhythm here is provided by a Dulcimer, a Shaker and a drum like instrument called a Djembe. (An instrument from Africa, looking like a tall Bongo drum)

An acoustic stand-up Bass is used along with a 4 string Banjo, and the Fiddle is the main instrument.
Put all these together and this is the sound you can have. Hope you'll like it.

Description : Hi ya,

Well, here is my latest country tune...called "Welcome to Nashville". It is an instrumental. Maybe someone will add vocals to it? Also I added a screenshot of the 'ProTools' program I used to put the song together so you can see what it looks like with in a software program as completed.

The song is uptempo featuring an acoustic guitar for rhythm, also an electric rhythm guitar doing more of a vamping sound to add in fill to the overall rhythm.

Also has lead guitar which is quite busy throughout, and Drums, Bass, fiddle and pedal steel round out the song.

Hope you like it.

Description : I had a dream a few years ago that my Mom was still alive and she met my wife for the first time. This song is about that dream.
This should be classed as Country Rock or Southern Rock but those genres aren't available.
Using a fender Strat on the left, Gibson Les Paul on the right…intro lead is the LP and outro lead is the Strat. Drums written in MIDI. Harmonica, vocals, bass performed by yours truly.
Feedback is always welcome.

Description : A cover of a song written by Doug Sahm and and recorded by Uncle Tupelo. It's off the great alt country album Anodyne. This and my last song are both off this album. Drums, bass, acoustic guitar, harmonica and a couple vocal tracks. A song about a breakup. As there are limited options for real music in the gernre category, I put this under country. It's Alt-Country or Americana.

The song allowed me the opportunity to try my son-in-laws 1981 Gibson J40 acoustic, my new Dean Resonator Guitar and my new harmonica.
I hope you enjoy.
