Description : A cover of a song written by Doug Sahm and and recorded by Uncle Tupelo. It's off the great alt country album Anodyne. This and my last song are both off this album. Drums, bass, acoustic guitar, harmonica and a couple vocal tracks. A song about a breakup. As there are limited options for real music in the gernre category, I put this under country. It's Alt-Country or Americana.

    Ha!

Hi Patricia! Yes, I play it all but the drums. I hope to get some fiddle on it within a couple weeks so I added a harmonica in the meantime. Posted a new mix too.

    Thanks!

    Hey Wayne!

Americana is probably the purest form of Country music there is Wayne. It is because of its Earthy and folksy sound. And yet again Wayne you deliver a very truly breathtaking performance that should make everyone here and beyond stand up and take notice of you and your extraordinary work. And yes, I am starting to believe that bands are still much alive Wayne because of your deep devotion to the true art of real natural music. You have shown that you are definitely a multi-talented musician Wayne because you wore many hats to pull this beauty off. You are a musician's, musician Wayne. Your performance and the stunning room acoustics bring things back to a time when music was fun, unadulterated and innocent. You are like a slice of that time period Wayne and it shows with amazing songs like this one. You definitely create songs and not tracks, and that harmonica sealed the deal for me man. Very impressive showmanship and talent Wayne.

    Truly,
    Joe

Heya Joe! I just updated the track with a new intro and tried getting the acoustic louder, hopefully better.

Americana is awesome, your right about it Joe. I hope to get a friend who plays in an americana styled band here in town to do the fiddle part to this one, he is pretty talented guy.

Your way too generous with your kind words. I just like making fun cool music and if I can get a more talented friend on a track to play a lot better than me than I will to make it better. Lots of talented musicians in the town I moved to and a lot of live bands and solo and duo acts playing at all the beach bars and cool clubs around here.

    Thank man, come visit sometime!

    Hello Wayne,

I rarely listen to this genre, not because i don't like but more by ignorance. Thanks to permite me to expand my musical culture, I do not have much reference in this style it's not easy to provide a very critical and fair opinion. I’ll just say that I really like the spirit and atmosphere of this piece. The presence of the harmonica brings more color to the melody and personally I adore

    Friendly,
    Bleep

    Hey Bleep!

It's more of an underground type of music, it's not popular unless you followed that kind of music in the 90's. It was more popular with people into alternative, punk and rock music more than it was with country fans.

I've asked a friend to add a fiddle track(violin in orchestra, fiddle in country) to replicate what was on the original. In the meantime I added the harmonica in case that doesn't happen.

    Thanks!

    Wayne

    Hi Wayne,

Love the live feel of this track as well as its relaxed unpretentiousness and simplicity. You always do that sort of stuff in best ways...keep 'em coming !:)

    Thanks Leon!

Keith Richards always said of the Stone's recordings that they should and do sound like a live band playing rather than sounding like the band played the song in a controlled environment like a studio. I totally agree.

Hope to get a live fiddle on it soon but we'll see.

    Wayne

Description : Here attached is a new country tune I put together using several loops I bought off a disk set. I call it 'Old Tyme Country' as it is close to being Bluegrass as well. (Bluegrass usually has a Mandoline, Fiddle and a 5-string Banjo, and a rhythm guitar at least).

This instrumental features no guitars or regular drums. Rhythm here is provided by a Dulcimer, a Shaker and a drum like instrument called a Djembe. (An instrument from Africa, looking like a tall Bongo drum)

An acoustic stand-up Bass is used along with a 4 string Banjo, and the Fiddle is the main instrument.
Put all these together and this is the sound you can have. Hope you'll like it.

Description : Hi ya,

Well, here is my latest country tune...called "Welcome to Nashville". It is an instrumental. Maybe someone will add vocals to it? Also I added a screenshot of the 'ProTools' program I used to put the song together so you can see what it looks like with in a software program as completed.

The song is uptempo featuring an acoustic guitar for rhythm, also an electric rhythm guitar doing more of a vamping sound to add in fill to the overall rhythm.

Also has lead guitar which is quite busy throughout, and Drums, Bass, fiddle and pedal steel round out the song.

Hope you like it.

This should be classed as Country Rock or Southern Rock but those genres aren't available.
Using a fender Strat on the left, Gibson Les Paul on the right…intro lead is the LP and outro lead is the Strat. Drums written in MIDI. Harmonica, vocals, bass performed by yours truly.
Feedback is always welcome.

Description : This is the best backing track I could come up with for my Country (?) lyrics. It has taken 4 years (off & on)to come up with a finished tune. I tried to get someone else to sing it to no avail, so I did it. I misplaced the audio file s I don't know if any Looperman folks loops are in it.
