Description : The irony of the subject matter of this track, is as relevant today (maybe even more so) as to when I originally wrote
this dark tune back in '94. While conceptualizing the vocals for this track, I was trying to go for a cross between "Iggy Pop" and "David Bowie".
Most who've reviewed this track thus far, say that it sounds like a song for a movie, you decide.

Much thanks to my good friend "Art Miller" for his time and talent. I sing all vocal parts, play bass & organ. Art plays acoustic, rhythm & rock guitars. Hope you dig it, peace. D

As someone who has had Iggy Pop's latest album playing on my music player for months now, I can say a great choice of vocal inspirations. I could see this as a song in a movie where two people are dancing on the dance floor.
Overall a nice vibe on this.

Hey TV thanks for the review, ain't "Iggy" the best? (lol) Yeah I guess this has become

it does sound like it could be on some sort of indie film. the relaxed atmosphere plus the the way the vocals are mixed does add a date to the track. but, this gives it novelty.

Hey my apologies, I somehow missed this post. Thanks for stopping by and reviewing
this track. I originally wrote this tune back in the early 90's when I with my rock band "Born Suspect". The band use to really
like performing this in the set. So many years after we disbanded I decide to record it.

Now I would like to (of course) rerecord, update and remix it. Thanks again for your
    review.

Nice work on this track! I really like the vocal style, and the guitar solo is amazing. I like when it gets really heavy around 3:00, it really works! The whistling is very cool, and makes this track stand out even more. Nice work! Thanks for sharing!

Hey Spivkurl, thanks so much for stopping by and listening. I am currently working on my first solo CD and this track will be included. I have a great metal guitar player who is working on the track right now for the cd version. He will be adding an extended guitar solo for the heavy section of the track. And I will go back and tighten up that section a little better overall. once again thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed it. D

Hey man this is cool!..Iggy's one of my heroes along with David B....ahhh I like this..the singing is great! A Noir Rock ballad done with verve and panache'...very interesting guitar phrases and the whistling was brilliant!...I think when you get on a roll with a unique blend of flavours the outcome can sometimes be amazing..."Strange Days" works superbly as a standalone piece or as others have suggested a great foil for Cinema or other creative projects....excellent work..cheers planet :)

Hey P, thanks so much for the wonderful review. Wow, with your seal of approval it must really be a winner. Yeah, I've gotten a lot of compliments about the "whistling" part. (lol) I'm a big Igg Pop & David Bowie fan as well. Again thanks and so glad you enjoyed it, cheers D.

Is that David Bowie coming in on the MotherShip lol-- This can realy get you in that relax mood!! I like the whistling and the begining and end and the guitar solo at 1:40. This is a well rounded production with nice vocals (MR BOWIE)!!

Yeah, I guess the MotherShip has landed and they brought David Bowie with them. LOL, so glad you dug this track. Had the worst time ever tryin' to put together the drums for the second part of the song. Also, the guitar part for the second part of the song was laid before I added the drums for that section; so no matter how hard I tried to sync the parts up, it didn't work. Thus why it's lower in the mix at that point (though it was suppose to be much louder). I will at some point get with my guitarist to redo that part. But for now at least I got the basic I idea down the way I wanted. Once again, thanks for stopping by and reviewing, peace. D

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : I wrote this song some time ago when I was living in Florida. It's even more true today.

Vocals by Arthur Granquist, guitar by the great Kevin Lysen, drums by Marc Karmatz, also the recording engineer.

The idea musically was to take some rock and some bluegrass elements, mash 'em up and see what happened.

Every day is a struggle to do better in a crazy world.
