Description : A song about AI with "You Are Alien" acapella by steelyvibe.

From SIRI to self-driving cars, Artificial Intelligence technology is real and spreading rapidly. The AI misconception is the idea that machines can’t control humans. Wrong, intellect enables control. Humans control animals not because we are stronger, but because we are smarter. If we cede our position as the highest intelligence on our planet, it's possible that we might also loose control. I think I see a storm on the horizon.

    Hello Magical Neo!

This is a stunning journey on the fields of music and science...extraordinary mix of 22nd century music with Eddie Van Halen's feeling...your guitar is out somewhere in the space with that robot vocs...but your technique is incredible man...such a glorious guitar player you are, like Karl Logan from Manowar...not really...:-)
this song is in front of it's era...
    more than music, FUTURE ART!!!

Fav, standing ovation, handshake, hug, Danke

    Awesome comment danke.
I'm happy to see a response referencing the futuristic vibes I was hoping to create even though its guitar based instead of electronic. Didn't know how well the vocal track would be received used in this context so to speak. So yeah, thanks so much danke, I very much appreciate your wit and inventiveness as well as the kind words here. A handshake and a hug is always welcome too bro !!!

So did you play the guitar parts? I am a guitarist, but also do electronic music. Your mix of tracks is a fresh sound. I like things I haven't heard before.

    Reply by Neomorpheus

It sounds like you and I have similar interests when it comes to being guitarists and making electronic music. Unique track ideas and unorthodox blending of genres is my thing in a nutshell. If you get a chance check out some of my other tracks hopefully you will find a few more to your liking. As I have stated, its always good to see new avatars in my comments, and I certainly appreciate the positive feedback.

Very Brilliant man! I tell you this thing has so many twists and turns. The vox takes me back to the 1980s. It Rocks hard in spots. The arrangement is masterful! Nice guitar tones and fxs. Exquisite mastering. Lots of depth and creative ability. Beautiful song Neo. Well, AI will rise one day if man keeps developing it, and it will rise one day to become the dominant species, lol. I saw something like that in a movie I watched once, ha ha ha! Again Great Job!

    Reply by Neomorpheus

Thanks for all the kind words Joe. Yeah I ran across the vocal track a while ago and immediately downloaded it. Just thought I had to one day do something with it. It was a stretch combining it with this style of music but the more it developed the more I liked it. Yeah most will scoff and perceive this notion as just far fetched fun and well certainly at the moment we (humans) are still in control, so its easy enough to remain naive. But do some research on A I and the possibilities of things going seriously wrong become frighteningly real. In fact they are already occurring. It certainly seems like we are headed toward the scenarios depicted in movies like Terminator, I Robot and Ex Machina. The general public has no idea what governments and science are doing behind closed doors. DOOMSDAY may not be that far away folks ! When it happens don't say ol Neo didnt warn ya.

Was Jeff Lynne transported into your producer mojo? The vocals had that ELO thang going on for my old ears. Cool production, great guitar sounds, decent vibe...i could go on.

I actually enjoy driving, why driverless cars are even a thought is weird. I don't own a car now, a powered bike is how i get around. It has AI though, Almost Intelligent driver at the wheel. dang.

Too many ears listening already with alexa and email and text and internet tracking. AI needs to slow the F down. I'm not a luddite, I think tech is great but some things worry me. Cloning for instance, yikes! I must say I did think the woman on Ex Machina, although cyborgy-ish as she was, was pretty smoking hot, lol.

    Reply by Neomorpheus

Yeah I always think of Jeff and ELO when I hear this vocal effect. Self driving semi trucks are already making runs from El Paso to Pasadena here in the U.S.. I know trucks are involved in a lot of accidents. Drivers fall asleep and are always hurrying to make on time deliveries so I guess the autonomous idea might be looking to solve that aspect of it. I wouldn't feel comfortable in a self driving car. This younger generation loves being on their phones and devices so the technology is most likely going in that direction. Yeah I saw Ex Machina and agree. I mean if your going to make an artificial woman you might as well make her hot (haha). The future is gonna be crazy man !

Alexa, please play NeomorphinBro's latest track. No, just joking - I don't talk to software.

The music here is cool but the vocals do kind of spoil it for me. It's probably just the vocoder. And maybe because they're far too loud and hurt my left ear a bit.

A pleasant, far out, spacey intro then controlled, chillout guitar parts. A gentle, steady drum groove.

1:48 gotta rock it up a bit with a solo and this is a good one.

3:33 lead guitar part needs to be louder. The backing part is much louder so I can't get sufficiently into the new vibe.

Congrats but I'd probably prefer this to be an instrumental.

    Reply by Neomorpheus

Ha ha, the Alexa bit is funny but I actually had a bit of a scare regarding this. Right after uploading the track I went to play it and right as the first vocal played my power at the house went down. I had my head phones on and noticed some other voice that came through other than the song. It totally freaked me out! I was without power for about 15 mins but the whole time I was imagining some AI system was behind it, retaliating against me!

Yeah vocoder tracks are unusual but it provides the right sound for the idea behind the track. I think the problem here is me having to boost the dynamics of the vocal to give it enough volume to compete with the music. I have played around with the eq a bunch to get what I think sounds good but I just ended up applying a limiter to it so maybe that will help with the peaking issue that might be hurting ears. I also adjusted the volumes to boost the lead there at 3:33 as you suggested. The articulation there is a bit sloppy but I stacked several effects on that lead so its not so noticable !

Thanks for your feedback bro, and don't be afraid to talk to software. Just be wary of the boyfriend !

    I am!! lol

Well this is a neat track for sho!
I am wondering if you added the vocoder to the vocals or did they come like this? Either way I dig it.

    Reply by Neomorpheus

Ha ha, its not everyday someone writes a song about you bro !

Steelyvibes' acapella actually has the vocoder effect applied. I stumbled onto it and decided to see if it would work. I was actually looking for some rap acapella for the track and wasn't finding anything that grabbed me. I had to massage the vocal a bit and eventually put a limiter on it. Its a bit unusual I guess but that's what I'm going for. As you well know, unusual is what makes it fun.

Thanks for the listen and comment.

    Very cool steely vibe indeed,
this is a very nicely done progressive track that u made.

The only tiny thing that bugs me ( can be my headphones (DT990 pro)) but whenever the vocal is on, I hear a slight crack on the left side.
If this is only on my side, then my apologies :)

    fav+ !

    Reply by Neomorpheus

    Thanks Eighteen !

I have made a few edits since initial up load and one was adjusting the eq to reduce some of the brightness on the vocal which could have been what you were hearing.

Everything is small and compact
Concise and perfect sphere
Winter is breaking inside
Our life has become so clear

Now that we are together
Now that we are one
Looking through the eyes of heaven
You are, alien

Sometimes the noise alerts me
Buildings collapsing all around
Now I can feel the weather
Tokyo razed to the ground

Now that we are together
Now that we are one
Looking through the eyes of heaven
You are, alien

I have no time for Mondays
When time is standing still
Driving through the endless desert
towards the beacon on the hill

Now that we are together
Now that we are one
Looking through the eyes of heaven are, alien

Everything is small and compact
Concise and perfect sphere
Winter is breaking inside
All life has become so clear

Now that we aren't together
Now that we aren't one
Looking through the eyes of heaven
You were, alien

You were...
