Description : Not just an ambient track. I think it's pretty eclectic this time and even if I don't mention you will probably easily figure out that this is anothar collab work with maestro Tumbleweed...yup, we kinda became almost unseparable and that's a special blessing, indeed ! Thank you Ed!:)

This puts me in another world. I love it! Your use of pads creates an atmosphere that submerges the listener in sound. I'ts a bit hard to describe, but I found the track very calming and stimulating haha.

Oh yeah, this is going in my faves also :P

There are some nice moments in this. Very well recorded and the arrangement has a good range of variations to maintain interest. You also used some very nice sounds, especially the mellotron like synth. Very enjoyable.

After the first listen, I was so impressed with the low end on this track(at least through my monitors), really makes me wish I could get that depth and clarity. The intro was very spacey like music at the planetarium or a 70's space documentary, very different from the second half which is a little more structured, if I could even call it that. Nice job making the two parts seem inseparable. Now where have I heard that analogy before? lol

You two are on the same wavelength, no doubt!

    Always a pleasure!

Sorry for a bit late reply Wayne,

Yeah, we sound very different on our own, but there must be a mysterious link between two of us in understanding of music when doing collabs. There are very rare and mostly minor musical misunderstandings, if any. Mostly we manage to do it on a same wavelength as you say, or at least we make it look that way...haha...

Anyways, thanks alot for this friendly feedback...always a pleasure:)

It's interesting, within seconds of pressing play, I had the distinct impression that I had heard this song before. I can't say why... maybe it is simply reminding me of something more familiar, or maybe I played it before and did not get a chance to comment. This feeling of familiarity continues later into the song as well.

It does give similar impressions to some other things I listen to. One which comes to mind is definitely Peter Murphy, on his album "Dust" which featured prominently Turkish influences, since that is where he lived at the time.

The composition of your collaboration here is quite complex in emotional impact, and I could see it having a different effect each time one listens. It is a deep experience to hear something like this, and you two have made it happen again, with style!

    Very very good work!

Sorry for the late reply Pat!It's most interesting that it sounds familiar to you cause I can't find any memory links myself, maybe Ed's parts are in question which may have been used in some other of his works....I don't know..:)
Anyways, thanks alot for another nice review and positive feedback which is always great to hear from you!

Another excellent collaboration. The song is constantly evolving, taking us from one soundscape to another whilst instilling in us a sense of wonder.
I particularly enjoy the lively, joyous section around 3:35, which quickly becomes urgent and close to chaos, before resuming a more subtle refrain. Nicely done.

Description : This is for my friend Danke who can't sleep at night. Yes, heat, heat...I guess Africa is hotter, but don't let the title and intro as well, deceive you! This is not African music nor the imitation of it. It's just a picture of starry African sky at night, painted with my european musical sensibilities and some imagination. So this is for Danke in the first place and then maybe for anyone who would like to fall asleep.:)...

Description : Dear Loopers...Let Ed and me take you to the world of yet another musical fantasy born out of our latest collab efforts. Ed provided basic structure of the track with ever solid rhythm section, tasty synths and vocal pads while I took
on a role of pretending to be multi-instrumentalist again by smuggling in some sweet strings, bulgarian flute, celtic harp,
unexpectedly blurry piano and this time a tiny bit of real live acoustic guitar...what an adventure for a vst/keyboard guy..:) As always
my sincere thanks to Ed not only for letting me enjoy his great musical company but also for still standing as one of the firm pillars of Looperman society !

Description : I went to the beach and set up my stereo recording mic under a gazebo near it (I apologize for some of the air gusts being recorded haha; we had a strong SE wind that day :P Tried my best to place it out of the wind); wanted to record myself playing live and do some cheesy roleplay in the process - wanted to make it feel like the listener was sitting there beside me. ** This is what the beach looks like: http://static.travel.usnews.com/images/destinations/80/south_padre_island_main.jpg **

Lo and behold, I'm about halfway through the song when my buddy Mark, a friend from college, heard me singing and decided to join me (he seems to never part with his guitar lol).

The expression on his face was that of confusion as to why I had my mic with me and a audio-capturing device, which I plugged into an outdoor electrical plug that the gazebo owners installed lol (I've done recordings like this before but didn't like the results; we messed up a little at the end but I was like meh it's not bad anyways.) but I'm glad he didn't say it out loud or it would have ruined the recording lol. Luckily, I was playing a song he and I wrote together some time ago, so he was able to just jump right in. He's a great guitar player.

Even though it was a little awkward at the end since we hadn't seen each other for like 4 months (you might be able to tell by the way I responded to his "thats so cool" comment haha), I think it turned out just fine. It was a lovely evening and the clouds were all poofy and happy. Lots of people were there too, though I made sure to sit far away from all of them. Ahh, it was a beautiful day. I'm glad I live by the ocean :P * Just kidding, I recorded this in my studio; though I do live close to the water, this was not recorded there :P I did everything, down to the wind blowing into the mic, except for the sound of water and the kids in the background. I got those sounds here: freesfx.co.uk/login/

The guitars and vocals were one-takes to give a more realistic feel. No pitch-correction or autotune. Just wanted to try making another soundscape (or whatever you want to call this :P) about what it's like to live by the ocean.

Description : While I concluded the previous year with the shortest track ever uploaded it seemed only appropriate to begin the new one with my longest track ever. And funny enough I used one and only instrument for this noodling marathon, the celtic harp....and I really couldn't help it, it was just dragging on and on and on...haha...so I think that anyone who could possibly listen to this from start to finish must be a real listening hero..:)^^

Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...

Description : Last time when I uploaded my track called "The Ring Of Saturn" many reviewers stated that it should belong under "ambient" category, since I tagged it as "cinematic"... so this led me to decision to give you the mother of all ambient pieces and here it is!:)Yet, it has something in common with the previous one....you won't need your sleeping pills... again..:)^^

Tags : | Ambient | 9.59 MB

Description : It's been a while since my last upload, yet here is finally the new one and it's 'dangerous' as it gets cause this time I ultimately decided to dedicate this thing to my dear friend Ed, the man well known to Looperman audience as Tumbleweed.. He has been my huge inspiration for those past few years and always will be. Luckily we've made some pretty decent stuff together and more is to come. Working with Ed helped me to improve alot and this composition is now my way of saying 'thank you' to him and music should express my gratitude better than words....One might expect this will be Irish (or Celtic) music, but it's not necessarily the case...as the title suggests it's merely the touch of it....it's like a mirage in the highland mist and it's full of orlandesque crap to be honest...haha...yet I decided to include a tiny snippet of a famous traditional Irish song at the very end of the track and I bet you will recognize it instantly ...particularly for the lads with Irish roots this shouldn't be a problem...:) So, Ed...put your headphones on and be merciful my friend...:)

UPDATE: 10th March 2016 / Today I decided to do an
alternative mix of the track...and hell yeah, I think it sounds much better now !:)
