Description : My take on the Swedish stoner rock band Truckfighters song off their Gravity X album. Heavy fuzz laden multi tracked guitar riffs, thumping distorted bass and ground pounding programmed drums. Heavily processed vocal track by me which underwent at least 20-25 revisions in an attempt to give some semblance to the original and add my own flavoring as well.

Damn. This shit rocks right from the get go. Heavy as fuck and damn tight as well. Awesome job all around. This is the shit I love to listen to. Old school vibe with a Stoner Polich to it.
Reminds me of Kadaver. I will have to check this band out. This is one of my favorite tracks I have heard on Looperman.
Awesome job. Faved and downloaded. I will rock out in the CX 3 to this.

Sorry so late to reply tv, been super busy and I'm terrible about checking my older track comments. Anyhow I really appreciate such kind words and positive feedback. I was really skeptical about posting this since I don't normally sing. Yeah I hope by now you have checked out the Truckfighters. Big thanks bro.

This is pretty freaking awesome! I love the vocal part most especially!

I am not familiar with which bands are considered stoner rock, although I have been a stoner for almost thirty years now. To me, the idea was always associated with jam bands, such as Phish or Grateful Dead, which I never truly identified with. I suppose one I might be able to think of, which I did get into, was Primus... possibly also The Black Crowes. To me, the essential stoner rock has to be Ween though, of whom I am still a big fan of. I even got to sell one of my custom circuit bent instruments to the dude who is doing the documentary film about Ween currently!

If you can tell e some other bands which are considered under this genre, I would appreciate it!

All in all, this song was super cool and fun to hear! Rockin, dynamic, and groovy! Fave and DL! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry for such a late reply Spiv, I'm so bad about checking my older track activity. But I really appreciate your kind words, especially regarding my vocals. I haven't done much in the way of singing for several years but did sing some, mostly back up vocals, in a few bands I played in. As far as stoner bands, the original and my fave would be Black Sabbath, but there are several excellent bands that are producing this type of music, in fact too many to name. Sleep and Kyuss are two very well known bands that were formed around the early 90's and ushered in the modern "Stoner" genre pretty much based on Sabbath's sound. Both bands were pretty successful and made several albums, but went through a lot of ups and downs and member issues. Sleep eventually fizzed out and although they have announced a possible new album many times, its yet to happen. Their third album "Dopesmoker" is one single song over an hour long. (and we give StaticNomad shit for making long songs !) Kyuss went through a bunch of band members and went on to become Queens of the Stoneage. Over the last 10 years or so the genre has really grown and even branched off into several sub genres. Heres a few links you can try if you want to venture a little deeper into this stuff.

    Enjoy and thanks again.

Well, for the record. I still think it's badass! I'm glad you put it back up! Like I said before, in the original thread, I'm happy to hear stoner metal on the loop. Or, any metal at all for that matter. In fact, I just put up my first completed metal track.

    Skol, my friend!

Thanks Aaron, yes there's not many offerings in this genre on here but you and I and a few others are starting to introduce more frequent examples of heavier music which is cool and certainly adds some flavor to the mix.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : Hello Loopies!!!

This song was supposed to be a Bedlam Kids track, but due to the low (none) interest of Pete on continuing that project, I'll upload the remaining tracks as instrumentals as soon as I can.

For now, here's a song written almost 7 months ago, it's called Simple Things.

Hope you enjoy it!!!

Description : This track was inspired by a discussion at work. - Las Vegas has always been an onslaught of humanity. Even on its slowest days, the city is still crowded. And it goes twenty-four hours a day. Lights, sounds, movement. All of it is non-stop. - "Resident Evil - Extinction" presented a different look upon Glitter Gulch, a gambling tourist city that had been forgotten and wasted due to the end of times. - And that is what started our discussion at MORTradio. All of us here have visited Las Vegas, and have always enjoyed our time there. A lot of us here go back often. - One day, while we were embalming, all of us started talking about "end of the world" scenarios. We discussed other scenarios, such as ones like Matheson's "I am Legend", or Romero's living dead apocalypse, or Boyle's "28 Day/Weeks Later", or King's "The Stand", and we all started brainstorming as to how Las Vegas would stand if such a 'end-of-times' thing would actually happen. We agreed on this much. Whoever was trying to get out of Las Vegas, or get into it, would have to be straight forward and determined. That person would have to not think twice about leaving someone behind, or putting someone down. Seems kind of brutal, but it is the reality. - And so MORTradio came up with this track. - ROSINA DEAD VEGAS TREK was mixed on Magix Music Maker 2015, and was created using personal loops, as well as loops from the Looperman contributors that are listed below: - Chuckseabo - Hard Techno Bass

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
