heh, this sort of brings me back to Cornerstone in the early 90's (don't remember which year, maybe '92, if you don't know of it, it was a big midwestern christian festival). I can't say that's a super positive feeling for me, as junior high was a painful hellscape, but on the other hand it was the only rave I've ever been to, and I got see a christian death metal band live! I like that the new stuff is more lyrically subtle, but the old stuff has more realism, which I value in a song. We have very different preferences musically, but I know that you know your stuff! Fun to hear!

Thanks Spiv! I appreciate you stopping in! I always appreciate the kind words :) I've definitely morphed my writing style a bit since I first started. I've never actually seen a christian death metal band live before haha. You one-up'd me there :D Thanks for the listen!

Yo Pete! Glad to see you dropped in on this one. The progress I've made is customary of any producer/musician who really practices the art. These songs are generally uploaded in the order in which I produced them. If you listen closely you can hear new techniques being used as I discover them - like my discovering the beauty of stereo (1:05-1:12) haha. Cheers!

well...I think WongKi had an observation that reflects my own....you were always damn good..there isn`t a track in the herd you shouldn`t be proud of E.R..the musical styles may vary & morph to new approaches (versatility) but your talent is always on display...I think the production is where the growth is a bit more apparent...you should take a bow after this one...I`m joining the applause....Ed

Thank you my dearest Tumbleweed :)

The first song in this track was recorded using an 80 dollar light up keyboard and 1980s mic I found in a friends garage haha. My upgrades throughout the years allowed me to really advance in my knowledge of music and mixing :) Thanks for stopping in.

So neat to hear how we progress over the years. What was I thinking when I recorded this :O LOL! I've been doing this digital production stuff about 3 years now, like you. I'll start mine from my high school years (early to mid 90's) playing with my basement metal band, my poor parents MuHAHAHAHA!! :p up to now recording into my daw, arranging drums and all. I got into soundscaping here on Looperman based on some comments. My second ever track recorded with a daw (LMMS and Audacity) is still up, Nightmare. Very cool ER :D

This is such a cool historical archive of your progress so far. It's also like a crash course in getting to know you and your spiritual-musical journey over time, only condensed into six minutes. Really neat. You're such an epic talent.

thanks cellar :) The first song in this one was my second-ever recorded track, done in Pro Tools 6 back in summer 2012 lol. As I upgraded/improved my recording technique, my music gradually improved as did my voice :P

nice progression. cant really tell the quality cause my crap earphones I have right now, but I notice you started to get more and more electronic and experimental which I think is awesome. good voice too.
I love your punk rock stuff. I think your voice fits that best.

thanks blu :) That part was actually my brother singing it haha. I produce all my own stuff but on occasion my brother will hop onto a song and do his thang. That punk/rock song was one of them :3

Description : I'm very glad to upload yet another collab work with maestro Tumbleweed! This one is quite special cause it embraces Ed's wonderful idea of bringing together some unusual instruments from various parts of the world to find out how well they can work together and also to what degree of harmony they can mix with more standard instruments like sax or piano for example....and so here are presented the Chinese Ghuzeng, Harmonium, Zither, Frame drum, Jingle stick and Wooden whistle among others...so you see the title "No Borders" is truly appropriate. I hope you will find it interesting!:) As always all my thanks go to my dear friend Ed, without whom this exciting journey would never happen !

Description : Real guitars and basses played by me. A short, yet tasty bit of MIDI piano and cello with about 7 programmed drum kits and a few drum loops. It's really a metric shit-ton of layered guitars and different textures. This track, sadly, is also a "Goodbye" to my little Acoustic 3/4 Fender Squier. I've been serving as a pawn-shop for my sister-in-law for about 4 years. Not a guitar you'd seek out, but it's been a friend and has been in most of my tracks. The bright side is, I will be replacing it with something better, and full sized. Acoustic guitar suggestions are as welcome as track comments!

Description : Electronic fusion of Dubstep/Trap/Hip hop hybrid. Big ups to Danke,Neezle, and Joe Funktastic for the use of some of their loops. The majority of this track is my creativity. Hope you like it and comments are welcome.

Description : A fat groove journey incorporating hip hop, jazz, rock and more. Chilled out and rocking, with some big riffs and basslines. The main instruments are saxophone, piano and cello plus some resonator guitar and banjo. Sax is the only instrument not played by me as the parts here were contributed a few years ago by a guy I know. Anything that sounds like distorted guitar is actually distorted cello. Loads of that, including solos, in the second half. No electric guitar or bass guitar. Not much synth work but there are two synth basses and an organ. Otherwise, it's quite an acoustic "played instruments" kind of sound. Lots of drums, including loops, multiple programmed acoustic kits and drum hits. I know Radiohead have an excellent song called Everything In Its Right Place but I still like my title and there's a story behind it (nothing to do with music). Interesting feedback appreciated. Do you have any favourite or least favourite sections? Details are appreciated...
