Description : {{{SHOUT OUT TO MY NEPHEW CHAZ.}}} If you have ever lost anyone for any reason. Well, it Makes Me Wanna Holler. My brother died from a Cancer related death a few weeks ago. This one still hurts a bit.
Description : My salute to James Jamerson, one of the most influential bass players in modern music, he played unaccredited on dozens and dozens of Motown number one hits and as a kid I loved that music and still do. The secret to JJ's tone is quite simple, a Fender Precision bass, flatwound strings and a foam mute.....and last but not least learning how to play with feel.

Description : The New Ways Remix of the debut single from neo-classic soul artist, Erykah Badu. This remix is intended for non-commercial use only.
This is real soul. Vintage Motown. I'm old enough to know about this. The music back then was written from the heart and not the POCKET. Great track. PEACE. T576 OUT.
A very nice twist on a classic song. Well done
Round and engaging sounds for a balanced mix that gives new life to a sound of other times. Good job.
Marco
seen you where on..had to come threw ..your music is as good as ever joe...good seeing you here brother..
Very nice. I really enjoy the classic sound.
My dear legendary top soul man Joe.
See, When I say you are the top man you doubting me.

Well done faves.

Can't believe I never heard this! Oh maw goo'nesss! [slow dances with self around the empty room, unashamed!] Yes! This is the VERY stuff I grew up on. Naw, these youngsters don't know NOTHIN bout dis here! We can always count on you to take us back to the good ole days! Thanks Joe!!!!!!!! :-)
This is amazing. period.
Nice! I like this bluesy beat! Bluesy tunes are universal language. Like it. Congrats.
Don't know what but this reminds me something...
Anyway i love that sound/bass line
Great great mate
So smooth. Love how the guitars give it a little grittiness. The brass is sweet. Puts me in a good state of mind. Not sure about the piano in the middle, but the rest sounds as good as anything out there. Would love to hear a vocalist on this.
Joe you have the comments by the upper crust of Looperman, I am in rarefied air here. They took all the good words out of my mouth, lol. I liked the swirling sound and the COSoul nature of it (chill out soul). it was a breath of fresh air, no, the fresh prince of BELair. Keep n dishing it up, bro. vic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktw-FK-2jmE couldn't resist.
Hey we need more soul track like that here
Nice track mate i liked it and will check your more recent production
I really like when the piano appear in the track nice idea !
Keep them coming
Sooo fine, Joseph! My kind of music for sure. And, I'm from that time as well. I just had to start singing a melody to it. Couldn't help myself. I think you channeled a bit of Curtis Mayfield when you made this track. That's the voice I heard in my head. Or perhaps David Ruffin. Just had to download it so I could put it in my car and sing along on my way downtown to work tomorrow.
Thanks for this.
Eric
Nice to see this one back up on the screen Joe...so about 2 beats in and I`m reminded of the feelings it passed on when I first heard it...and it still leaves that smile & good memories,,..waiting for another one like this Joe...you do it well..and I thank you....Ed
wow...this track bangs,,,,,we need more...mas mas mas
smooth!! i use your loops often too! good work
Oldschool
Very smooth very nicely put together and what a time warp!
I know what you mean about the N-word music .... boring.
If I see adult content I don't listen to it anymore.
I might be wrong but I presume it's that standard voice saying xxxx and xxxxxx.... again.
heard so many of your loops but never a full track and man this is some high level stuff here!
that beat is funky as shit bro
loving the guitar stabs and the chord progression is sexy
could easily hear some nice caramel tones on this one
it's a very ooooh baby kinda track and the change at 1:14 is almost hiphop style
madness, keep at it man
PEACE
(LF)
this guitar tho :m
hmu for beats
low key fantastic
Just wonderful. I have to agree that this is circa 1967. I'm thinking "Your Precious love" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, updated with Curtis Mayfield's "Giving Him Something He Can Feel" from the sleeper hit SPARKLE (RIP Curtis! untimely death silenced a man with many more hits to create)
This is amazing work! The first part took my mind to a Schweppes Kinley Tonic commercial. Very smooth sound track! I think this would be fabulous with some vocals on top, regardless of that it still is a great production you've got here. Literally had me groovin' to it throughout all three plays. Great work, really great work!
i like the way it sound i would like to use this track on a video can i use this ? count with credits
I enjoyed of your track man ... very nice
This is just a sweet sweet tune Joe! Surely you have stepped back in time and captured the essence perfectly. The percussion and drum work was nice as you brought that out in the mix which would be different from back in the day. Thoroughly enjoyed my listen.
Steve
I grew up listening to this kind of music. really like this track, pleasure to listen to.
This is fantastic I would love to put vocals onto it
Gee. Thanks for the kind words, man!
I was just teasing you, though, saying that your non-electronic-and-proud-of-it song needed a remix.
If you really want to you can hit me up with the link and I'll see what I can do, but don't feel like you have to.
:)
This... could use a dubstep remix
lol.
Hey Joe..takes me back(and fortunately I have some reasonable equipment to listen to it on now, lol),I think you'd be writing your own ticket if you time traveled back to the motown era man, artists and studios alike would be falling over themselves to get you as a producer...I guess we're all a little guilty of 'blaxploitation' I know I am,I still have all Otis Redding's albums along with Wilson Pickett and heaps of James Brown to name but a few in my record collection....You have to have lived the experience to get to the soul of the situation to express it properly..and you have man!...cool vibes and big slow round wound bass notes! cheers Dave
Love it, talk about taking me back.
Well done
Too cool for skool dude.Reminds me of my village hall gigging days.
nice track, sounds like some old school music, pretty chill good job
Great track, Joe! This is my kind of music for sure! (I just found a singer, busking on Sparks Street Mall here in Ottawa, who could do a killer vocal on it.) I've been away from Looperman for quite a while and this is the first track I've listened to for months I guess. A great way to re-enage! :)
Pure Motown with a "modern touch". Loved.
Well.. I have been away for such a long time and this is the first song I am getting... definitely I have been missing your music MrFunktastic (my bad).
Wonderful composition: I like to hear this songs as instrumental because I can fully capture all the details.
Of course a sweet vox would be the icing on the cake.
Very well done!
Take care, Domenico
This is why the word "Fantastic" is in your name!! Too cool of a track Joe, you need someone like Patricia to lay down some sweet vox on this. Who cares if they make music on their phone, as long as it's half as good as this I'm all in. ;)
Way to go Joe, all this reminiscing is making me feel old now, he.
Wayne
that bass is too nice, very nice composition all around, you definitely captured that era's sound. was curious what key its in? great sound my friend.
I'm hip Joe but I'm gonna challenge you a bit on the year 1967. I think it should be 1965.
-LBJ was sworn in for his first full term as U.S.President.
-Muhammad Ali knocks out Sonny Liston in the first round with his now infamous "Phantom Punch".
-NASA launches Gemini 3 into Earth orbit with its first 2 person crew.
-The Beatles movie "Help" is released.
-The U.S. Air Force 2nd Air Division begins bombing North Vietnam.
and
-Smokey Robinson and the Miracles release "Ohh Baby Baby" on Motown.
I really love the track bro, you nailed the Motown sound and it definitely is shades of Smokey and the Miracles for me.
Another great track!
What happened to music is the same thing, that happened to Honour
Truth and Justice it was sacrificed...
For the wealth of a few, at the expense of the many they don't want
them to think anymore, they want them to do as I say and use this...
And they have fallen for it, now it all comes in a box...
Well be that as it may, it's nice to walk back down that street again
it's like it was yesterday...hahaha..In fact it was...lol
Real nice project Man...
Peace...TG.
I like the composition here, as well as the gentle mix/master. I am a bit sceptic about it being a band playing their instruments, but this does not take away from the effort. Definitely the lack of brickwalling and such things is the most 60s style thing about this for me. It's something I miss a little bit. All in all a fun track!
Oh man....this is awesome Joe...I`m at a bit of a loss for words (not usual for me)...so I`ll just listen & say thanks my friend.....I could handle lots more of these...good memories...band mates...fun...music everywhere....Ed
Good old quality music is back....splendid track, Joe...and I really love your description...:)
Compliments______Orlando
Man I really enjoyed listening to this..The description of this track made me laugh out loud..So I take it that everything here is being played by the real deal instruments..the sound is great..good work.
You captured the times very well. Love it and you are right, ....memories. Loved the change in the track too.
