its funktastic to see this still in the canon of current tracks. that blues-drenched guitar is so righteous!
This can be a hit, yes, your drum track is perfection. I feel so dwarfed by your talent Joe!. As soon as I am back up and running I'd love to colab with you, so keep in touch lol.
Ludo.
Hi Joe,
This my friend is GOLDEN ++ Love it, I am back in the 70's
This guitar is killer.
I hope you feel a little better everyday buddy.
great song
If I tell you the most fun thing in this track is your percs...you would not believe me
Hey Joe. If LogJammin had a theme tune this would be it :D
Few people feel the pimp fifth, or better said, grunge between the beats. Really good job being patient and having minimalism that you've pulled off to perfecting. That guitar and bass build goes from dirty to Satriani clean at 1.38.
It's perfect as it is, I'd have chosen some chops and schreds near the end for some tension, but that's super hyper critical.
Hey, this is pretty sweet! Totally not in my main listening preferences of course, but I can totally appreciate the talent and effort contained within. Sounds vintage, but with the cleanliness of modern recording abilities. I must admit that my favorite cop based TV show of all time would be Columbo, which is a bit far from this sort of vibe, though similar era I guess. I just liked that he didn't wear a uniform, he didn't drive a cop car, he smoked cigars whenever he wanted, stuff like that... most people thought he was a bystander. Either way, this is a cool funky joy ride! Nice one!
I can't believe you went there LOL! I felt like I was in the 5th grade and Starsky and Hutch were on! If, you only knew how rare funk is these days. Top notch Joe!
Wow....This is your first piece I've had the chance to listen to, and I must say that all the words spoken to your skillz are not in any way false. You do a great job with the funky feel. The guitar solo that sits so solidly in the center of the mix really is smooth and catchy, I could definitely hear this being used as the intro to a modern TV show, without a doubt :) Good work, bud.
Cheers from a youngin' like myself!

Oh hell Joe, you nailed it!!!! First off, I definitely was a fan of the show, and wish there were more shows like that one still on TV.
Now to your great song. Love the crunchy tone on that lead guitar....nice and crispy. Wah wah chugs are nice too. Great simple but effective bass line that drives this baby like an engineer drives a train. Really nice dynamics throughout as well.
The king of funk does it again. You keep setting the bar right up there Joe. Production is just sick as well. Like Domenico, the only thing I'd change is the fade out, but other than that, this one is a 10 for me. Well done. I hope all is well.
Bear
Great piece of work, I really enjoyed this.I guess my favorite part is the electric guitars.Good work.
Hey Joe this is great! Reminds me of watching shows like Mod Squad, Beretta... back in the 70's. The theme songs were better back then. Great guitar parts, the wah and the screaming lead fills set the tone for the rest of the goodness that happens.
Now I need to go pet my pet rock and put my moon shoes on because you put me in the mood, lol.
Well done Joe, good to see ya around.
Wayne
absolutely brilliant. great work!
Dude,
You nailed Huggy Bear with this.I used to love that guy.
Great job.
Mark.
Hi MrFunk!
I used to watch Starsy&Hutch with my father when I was a child...and of course the highlight for me was Huggy!
He was the real star of the series! (I won't say anything about the movie they made... embarassing)
And this track is a perfect incarnation of these atmospheres. Superb guitar. Bass on spot.
But really everything works well here.
Superb. 10 out of 10!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: the fade out could be improved, but it's nothing serious. this track is already "funktastic" :-)
Mmmm, mmmm well thank you. Very cool. straight to my favourites. The guitar and bass was great such a clean recording.
Thanks again
Deathbot.
I know I`m going to hearing from the best even before I hit play.....(you already know I`m biased Joe)...the cool lead guitar (very tasty by the way) did surprise me a bit..the bassline is nicely paced with the space for that drum kit.cool rhythm guitars..I hear some of those thoughtful production techniques you obviously spent time on too...whats left to say really...we are hearing from the Meistro himself...its funktastic.....Fav......Ed
Beautiful sounds!
Joe!
Greetings first...
Huge guitars in this so that's more than fine...wah section is brilliant, gets that funky...bass tune is superb too...whole track is slowly floating...
One of your best for me...
Handshake, Danke
