Description : Another great collaboration with Mark Ratcliff, and the addition of Eric Morris. Eric is a world class guitar player who has chops to rival the likes of Van Halen, Satriani, et al. Mark on bass, harp, synth, arrangement, vocals, production, and anything else we needed including donuts. Eric on the mad guitar solo towards the end. Me on rhythm and a few other things. A great song that is this good only because of the efforts of Mark and Eric. Enjoy.

2:02 that solo was amazing, nice song Bear. Kind of a dark bluesy tune from you. Fun listen. So your having fun singing these days?
    keep on,

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Hey Steve, yeah, Eric has some serious guitar chops. I can't even drive that fast, haha. That's Mark doing the singing. My voice sounds something like a leaky exhaust, so I think it is best if I leave that part of things up to folks who know how to do it. As always, thanks for stopping by to listen and comment. I hope all is well.

Epic solo at 2:12 min, I also like the background female choirs on the solo part.

Also the voice effect are well done.

The only thing I found a bit bad about this track is the ends is a bit tooooooo rude maybe a fade out could work better

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks Ant. Eric is a world class guitarist who can hold his own with just about anyone. As for the abrupt ending, we do a lot of fades, so we are always searching for something new. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, haha. One thing we do appreciate is your honesty. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. I hope all is well.

Hey, this is a totally jammin tune! You gathered some great rock talent to realize this one, and everyone's contributions shine. Was fun hearing something so hard rock and potent on your page. Interesting distortion tone in there too, and it makes me wonder what was involved in getting that sound... with all the software and hardware options out there now it gets hard to tell. Any way, you Mark and Eric have done a great track here! Dig it! Fave!

Hey Pat, sorry for the late reply....2015 has started out a bit crazy around here. All of my guitar work was done through a ZoomG9.2tt multi-effects pedal. It actually has two tubes built in the unit, so you can really "warm" things up. Not sure what set up Eric uses, and I'm also unsure what, if any, add ons Mark did in the production to get the guitars to all sound like they did. Anyway, big thanks from all of us for the kind feedback. I hope all is well.

Wow guys I have never heard anything this heavy from you guys. Nice Job.

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks James. The guys wanted something pretty this time around so I sent them the stems for this, hahaha. Eric has such great guitar chops and Mark can do anything, so it was fun to do something a bit heavier. The next one will be toned down a bit, haha. Hope all is good and that 2015 is a great year for you.

Sup man, happy holidays. So, really digging the guitar! Vocals sound really good in the mix as well. I thought the master could be a tad more punchy or a bit louder. But even still it's at a great level. Could work well as part of a soundtrack to a vintage movie or something. That's just what I picture. Excellent work, peace

This song was so heavy, my back went out listening to it, (insert drum roll here).

It never gets old listening to and making loud music. I have been able to record my amp now so I've been playing more electric guitar and adding some distortion even. This IS why we own a guitar, to make loud noises!!

Eric can shred and is a very cool addition to this new super group. Great tone on his guitar. I like the singing "oooo's" in the background, nicely mixed in.

Listening to this is like the fountain of youth, I feel younger already. ok, I've got to slow this rockin' chair down now.

Have a great Christmas with the family and cool collab to the "new kids on the block".

    It's just a phrase.... ;)

Hey Wayne, thanks for the great review. We all had a ball on this one, just wish we could get together and do it live. I still have everything in my house set on 11, except now it's because I'm almost deaf, hahaha. Anyway, much thanks for the great feedback. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. Be safe over the holidays man. I hope all is well.

Try to be live is always the greatest appreciation from me...here is a guitar player from another league and Mark with his unique voice and ideas...
But don't forget about yourself Bear...your magical ears and the great ability to put stg together on the highest level...the mix sent me back to the lovely 80th, when we (I'm sure) made a headbang round and around :-) for this kinda rock songs...

All of my hats off to the team, appreciation and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Hey Danke, thanks so much for the great feedback. I think Mark and I are both throwbacks, and Eric is good enough he could have played in any generation. We are having fun with these tunes, and really are happy people enjoy them. As always, we appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. Have a happy and safe holiday season Danke.

ROCK....in the finest tradition...by some of the finest talent I know...so, whats left to say....my hair started growing back in while listening HaHa....freekin great stuff guys....but you`ve got a plugged band..so I should know I got what I should have expected....now you`ve got me all psyched up and its bed time in a couple of hours...(I`ll go have a beer & settle down)..........Ed
PS: a wee production note to Mark...the bass & kick are fighting each other a bit in some spots...somebody wants more that their share of 200hz or so......(no sweat,...its dam good & better than the radio)

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Ed, thanks so much for the kind words. Glad we were able to get the old hair growing again, haha. Also a big thank you on the production side of things. I'm sure Mark took note of that. My hearing is so bad anymore, that I listen to everything with the volume at 11. I can hear it just fine on 11, haha. I'm headed off for the holidays so I have my Tumbleweed song folder packed and ready to go....looking forward to spending time with the little one. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season Ed. As always, your kind feedback is greatly appreciated.

Wow Barry....what a stunning track, highly energetic. You guys really rock and that soloing in the last part is really top class...and those low pitched vocals do a great effect!
Fantastic job you did here...my admiration to all involved, but I'm giving this a 'fav' only because of donuts.:):)^^

    Compliments and respect_____Orlando

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Power to the donuts!!! Funny story about donuts, Mark lives in the boondocks in Canada. When he needs to send large files or receive large files, he has to drive to town to the donut shop for wifi, hahaha. It shows his dedication, because he does it rain, snow, or sunny day. So the credit for this one goes to Mark for his talent and perseverance, and Eric for being one of the guitar players on the planet. Thanks for stopping by to give it a listen and a comment. I hope all is well.

Yep...Your boy is bad, some solid licks on his Axe...
Hard core Rocker...I remember those days well...

Good song done in truth to tradition, it's hard to get that
analog warmth, in this digital landscape seem like the more
instruments, the more mud you get...Even when each track
is treated separately...But you've done a real good job here...

Hey TG, thanks man. Your comments mean a lot, especially coming from a skilled musician as yourself. I'm sure Mark and Eric will be thrilled to see such great feedback. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment. I hope all is well.

    M. said it best with his 'one word,' but I will expound a bit further, Bear.

You certainly did surround youself with some fine musicians, but that takes nothing away from your great talent in the least.

It always boggles my mind when I hear better music on Looperman than on the radio!

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks so much Scott. Mark and Eric truly are world class musicians, so it is always a great pleasure to occupy the same stage with them. And to top it off, they are great people as well, so that makes these collaborations even more fun. As always, your kind feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope all is well.

Thanks M!! I found long ago that it is wise to surround myself with great musicians, makes it easy to sound good, hahaha. All the credit on this one goes to Eric and Mark. They took the original track I sent them, tweaked it a bit, and then added their magic. This was the result. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by to give a listen and leave a comment. I hope all is well.

Really digging the intro, and you always have the best intros! Your a real master and making the listener wanna listen more and here whats in store, and then you get into this chorus (which, I dunno, I felt is more heavy than what ive heard from you) but it was something that I enjoyed and did drag me in, cos you gotta have good intro cos if your chorus is amazing as hell and your into is utter shit, you wont get the recognition you deserve,

    Well done on this track.

    Reply by ShortBusMusic

Thanks R.P.S.!! You are correct, without a good intro, most people won't stick around long enough to hear the rest of the song. This one is a little more on the heavier rock side of things, but I think it lends itself well to Mark's abilities on bass, harp, and vocals. And then throwing Eric into the mix took it to a whole new level. As always, we really appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. I hope all is well.

If you wanna roll the dice
Gonna try to roll 'em high
But you have to understand
You're undermining what's at hand

All the answers that you have
Bring 'em all forward
Before you make a stand

Pause - think twice
You're shooting for the top
Restless at the bottom
Dreams - are so nice
Never content
Never a smile
Don't you know your talk is cheap?

Through with you and that is true
Betray my trust because you must
You think your hands are always clean
The drama builds so you make it queen
All your answers are a pipe dream
You brought them all forward
You ain't what you seem

Pause - think twice
You're shooting for the top
Restless at the bottom
Dreams - are so nice
Never content
Never a smile
Don't you know your talk is cheap?

Hit rock bottom I don't care
I learned hard when I was there
Run your mouth behind all backs
Such a mystery no respect
What so bad has happenned to you?
Benedict Arnold through and through

Pause - think twice
You're shooting for the top
Restless at the bottom
Dreams - are so nice
Don't you know your talk is cheap?

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
