Description : I was given the opportunity to sit in and record two hours of 30+ Neo Hippie folk beating African drums up on Quadra Island. The farthest Northern Gulf Island in the Georgia Straight just outside of Campbell River, British Columbia. I had a blast and was even given the opportunity to join in and play a spare djembe B-)
When I say "Hippie" I mean no disrespect. I grew up a hippie kid from way back. My Dad was one of the original long haired, mega-bearded dudes from the late 50's/early 60's. In grade school the kids called me "Hippie Howard" which I loathed at the time but now I'm thinking it's a pretty cool handle :) "DJ Hippie Howard" lol
