Hello everyone, I have a problem lol. Dont get me wrong, I like Fruity Kick but It gets old quick and has a limited range of kicks I can create with it. Any good plugins for kicks?

Oh and if you know any for drums that would be cool too.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Image-Line released a new vsti drum-synth called Drumaxx. It is till in beta bu the demo tracks sound good. Kicks, snares, hats, it can make any drum sound.

Theres a demo for one called Subhuman that specializes in subbase sounds and has some thumper presets.

LiveTweaker is another that is very useful for synthing drum/perc sounds and is a good sampler that comes w/ many built ins
    Thats from here, somewhere:

You could always just try eq'ing kicks and adding effects to spice up the kicks you already got.

REally broseph, just about any synth can get you pretty darn close, and with some post efects you can make it!

    Try this:

A sine tuned down around C2. Absolutely NO sustain and a very short decay rate. Fast attack. Send err through a lp filter set to around 90 - 120 HZ. That should get a real wumpy short hit with plenty of tone to it.

Now, to tune that bass kick sound up, try running it through an attack gate with a nice short clip or try compressing the hit so that it has a short attack rate and almost no release time.

Now, with some tweaking of that wave form you can start to get distorted 808 or 909 sounding drum hits. Deadened quick thumps a la mini house compressed drums, or by playing with the decay and sustain rates you can get that open ringing style drum hit.

Also, adding a drop of noise to the synth hit can often help with the idea of a natural sounding drum room.

Hope this helps anyone wanting to make digi drums.
