Anyone else using Cool Edit Pro (any version) to create backtracks?
Great way to use it. I use it mainly for trims and edits.
I use to use cool edit pro back in the day like 14 years ago. used it for alot of things made alot of good music with it.
I'm using Cool Edit Pro II on almost all my tracks.
Wow, I didn't even realise that was still a thing. I've just looked it up to see what the state of play is now with it. Looks like it has been taken on by Adobe (so there's one reason to ditch it). It doesn't look like it is supported anymore either (another reason to ditch it). Are you using it as a DAW as if you are there are far better options out there.
Also @jive4005 did you not say disk space is an issue for you? I thought Cool Edit Pro was huge? Or I may be thinking of something else, but rings a bell.
Hi Lek... I settled my Disk Space problem. As for updating my DAW-Cool Edit Pro... I did look into to it. Actually got some other software but as it is I guess I'm just too damn old and tired to go thru those learning curves. I've become quite adept at using this program and find it works well for me. Thanks for the post.- Slick
Yeah, I understand that. I've been using my DAW for about 5 years now and it would be a real wrench if I had to start using a different one now after all this time. If it does what it needs to do for you then it's all good.
