    Hi there,

I recently created a lyric video for my original rock song by using a video editing software. Also, this is the very first time that I've attempted to make any type of video on my own, so I wasn't exactly sure how to go about it. I would love to hear your suggestions on how I can improve my lyric videos in the future to make them more engaging. By the way, the words of this song are in Nepali!

    Thank you!

It's nice man! What I usually do is grab an aesthetically pleasing photo or aesthetic based image either from

    or pintrest or

that hooks the viewer and then overlay the texts, like normal like your video.

But that's just me because it works for my style of music. I would suggest looking at your favorite bands lyric videos and see if they're any you could replicate i.e picture with just text. Some do get complicated and require adobe after effects to do a lot more with the text. Hope this helps!

Hey randomuser13, thanks a lot for your feedback and for sharing those links. I will check all of them out while making my next lyric video(s). For this particular video, I downloaded the background image from

Your video looks really cool. I really like how you have used those overlay/effects that make the video look very dynamic. I was wondering what type of overlays you are using in the video and the blend modes as well. I hope to blend lots of interesting overlays/effects in my next video.

Your remix is also very good and I enjoyed listening to it!

    Thanks again.

Looks and sounds good, I like what you did with it!

As someone who has absolutely zero visual skills I always struggle with creating videos for songs on youtube.
Here's some of the approaches I've tried:
    * generates random videos based on animated gifs, with some effects. This can sometimes turn out cool, and other times not at all, but at least it's low effort for lazy people like me ;) (also it's down quite often)

    * after some time I decided I could do that myself with I still do that sometimes, I then gather around 50 gifs from a site like (you can download them as mp4, tip), then make my own video. This takes around 2-3 hours and is fun to do. Add some text and/or subtitles and you're done.

    * I recently found which is much more powerful, and allows you to make an actual video with multiple sources, overlap, transformations, etc. This takes several hours to make something, but the result is much more interesting (or can be if you have skills, which I think you may have).
For the latter I recorded several takes of me playbacking to my own song, then synchronised them with the audio (works fairly well) then cut and pasted until it looked like something:

Hope that helps. I enjoyed your music, and the clip was actually really pleasant to watch, so why not keep doing what you do. Kudos man!

Thanks BaoBou for your reply. I appreciate your feedback on my song/video...glad you liked them!

Thanks for all the links that you have listed as well. I'll check out all of them while making my next video. The wevideo platform definitely looks very interesting...maybe I can create something cool there. By the way, I really enjoyed listening to your "A Sunny Day" track. The video is also very good. "The sound of the waves" track was awesome, by the way :) Thanks again for your encouraging words and those links!
